Many people experience trauma of one form or another, and this can impact how they operate at work and in life. Oftentimes, when people who have experienced trauma come into contact with services, they risk facing triggers of their trauma, or being re-traumatised. Organisations need to have an understanding of trauma informed care, so they can communicate effectively and avoid the risks of creating further harm.

This course shows you how to identify, respond and work with people who may have experienced trauma, with care and consideration and without the risk of re-traumatisation.

Delivering Difficult News

Half day course an entire day on the topic.

Delivering unwelcome news or information is sometimes a vital part of our working life. And yet, we are very seldom prepared or trained in how to deliver that news appropriately. What if the person becomes emotional? What if they become aggressive? What if there is a risk of harm to themselves or others? How should the person delivering this news respond?

This course provides participants with the vital communication skills to deliver unwelcome news compassionately, and clearly, and to respond appropriately in a variety of situations.
