“....an inspiration for you to fulfill your dreams, if onlyfor an evening.”
Escapism is good for the soul. People continue to power‑through tough times with the pandemic, inflation, political in‐fighting, climate change, etc...
The problems seem endless. But, it’s our job to find the silver lining in our lives, and if a wedding, full of promise and possibility, doesn’t add joy and beauty into our lives, then I don’t know what does.
Beauty is all around, but we must seek it out. Passionate fashion designers, like Lebanon‑based Ziad Nakad (whose magnificent look we featured on our cover) want to inspire you to dream about life’s possibilities, by designing opulent fashion that transports women. But, don’t see his bejeweled haute couture creations as superficial and exclusively for theelite. View his work as an inspiration for you to fulfill your dreams, if only for an evening. Fashion can help us become our best selves. A healthy dose if escapism doesn’t mean you're unrealistic. It’s an outer skin to inner‑beauty, and each works hand‑in‑hand to promote self‑care.
At WBM, we celebrate a lifestyle of appreciating fashion and beauty in all forms, whether it’s a fantastical wedding gown, or the simple beauty of discovering the great outdoors. It’s part of a recipe for a healthy and happy self.
In this issue, we visited Maine, Colorado, and The Hamptons — all were a discovery of food, people, and nature.
World Bride espouses a lifestyle of sustainability—buy fewer, better things. Spend money wisely and invest in quality. Use the secondary fashion markets, but buy fashion that lasts. Hand down your wedding dress to family, or share it with others, there is no shame in that. And always make time for life’s treats and celebrations. Weddings are central to all of us, whether you're a bride, groom, or attendee. Fall in love with life’s bounty of beauty.

Is your partner using “transference” in your conflict style?
Baggage. We all have it from previous relationships. Some of us bring personal sized baggage, others carry on. The rest of us tend to bring more baggage than a family of six traveling internationally. So, when we commit ourselves to new relationships, it’s inevitable that a piece of our past will come along for the journey.
It was the middle of the night. A conversation, which had started from referencing a scene in a film, took a plot twist and turned into a 90 minute dialogue — escalating fast, and with fire. “I’m not your ex, so stop transferring him onto me!” My response? “It’s not transference, I’m applying the lessons I’ve learned from my past, and using them to decide what I’ll tolerate in the present, during communication.”
Becoming aware of transference and being able to identify it the moment it happens can be difficult. However, always assuming the presence of transference can be toxic and incredibly harmful in a relationship— Toxicity arises because your partner is being accused of feelings or behavior that happened with a previous partner. It is not based on what you are actually experiencing at that moment.
On the other hand, learning lessons from past relationships, in order to grow into healthier ones moving forward, is admirable. Applying lessons learned (like being able to identify transference, manipulation, or someone simply in pain or having a bad day) is incredibly useful for better communication and problem solving as a team.
BY SARA QUIRICONI
So, how can you tell when someone is transferring, versus applying lessons?
Some techniques I acquired a few years ago are :
1. Beefing up my psychology vocabulary and studying how it applied to my own life, relationships, and even my career as an actor.
2. Journaling is an incredible tool that I use time‑and‑time again to recall, not just the painful moments, but also to reflect on lessons learned. Any conflict or situation that challenges us is an opportunity to grow.
3. When believe I am experiencing transference during a conversation, I can take a step back and ask for five minutes to let things cool between us while also trying to analyze what is really happening—and if I’m at fault, what I can do about it.
Sometimes, the best thing we can do about it is to create space from the conversation, situation, or relationship in its entirety. You can only grow amongst others that are willing to grow as well. And, if that individual is you, then take this opportunity to absorb some responsibility (it takes two to tango) and learn some lessons moving forward.

NEW YORK FASHION WEEK HIGHLIGHTS FOR SPRING 2023
BY MIMI LOMBARDO
There are so many fashion shows at NYFW but the shows I attended were focused on special occasion dressing and party looks with many that were bridal appropriate. It's not necessary to wait for bridal week in October when NYFW has so many options for wedding dressing.
DENNIS BASSO
Dennis Basso had his celebratory 40th anniversary show at the Pierre Hotel on the fashionable 5th Ave and 61 Street in Manhattan. The hotel's opulence was a fitting venue for his return to a full on show after 2 years of pandemic presentations. Basso is known for his furs and indeed started as a furrier in his early years, but his adoring socialite clientele wanted more from him. His dress designs run on the classic side of the meter with A line gowns with embroidery and beading leading the way. Many of the looks had fur wraps with a distinctly 50's vibe and he joined the trend of back interest with capes, bustles, and trains in many of his looks. He took his final bow with Martha Stewart at his side—many of his social friends were in attendance to support and celebrate his long career in design.
PAMELA ROLAND
Anniversaries were the event du jour with another evening veteran, Pamela Roland, touting 20 years in the business. The gowns were beautifully designed, each dress different from the last. Chopard adorned many models with a substantial jewel—earrings, bracelets, or necklace. A flower shop was the backdrop for the show mimicking the variety of colors and styles that Roland offered. The back interest trend surfaced here too with long open sleeves, attached capes and long trains. There was pleated tulle, marabou feathers and beaded spangles on many dresses. A bride ended the show followed by Roland who paraded the runway with her 3 grown children which isn't the first time she has walked with them. Family is her lifeblood, and she makes a point to thank them during her shows.
CHIARA BONI LA PETITE ROBE
The Italian collection Chiara Boni La Petite Robe returned after a couple of seasons in hiatus from NYFW. With the ubiquitous stretch fabric that molds to a woman's body and her use of bright hues, Chiara Boni looks are beloved by TV personalities for their ease of fit. Boni owes much of her success to the fabric forgiveness because of its stretchy attributes, but she uses it in a way that retains a strong silhouette—suit jackets are impeccably sculpted to a woman's shape. This season she is delving into bridal with a grouping of 10 looks that paraded out at the end of the show. Worth checking out if you are looking for a sleek look for your wedding.
BACH MAI
Bach Mai is new to NYFW but not new to designing. The Texan designer has a strong point of view with talent to match. Mai is focused on evening wear but throws tradition out the window. His designs are unique and exhibit a fresh perspective on dressing up. It’s clear we will see more of his designs on the red carpet.
BIBHU MOHAPATRA
Bibhu Mohapatra vacillated from demur with lace A line gowns to dresses with leather harnesses for an added toughness. There were a variety of silhouettes but that is what he does so well—offer an assortment of styles for his customer, in opulent fabrics, unique embellishments and lace appliqués. Many of his looks delved into the daytime arena with tailored pants, jackets, skirts and separates which are quintessential ladies who lunch, but with an edge.

MILAN FASHION WEEK HIGHLIGHTS FOR SPRING 2023
WORDS BY MATTEO TOSI
Amedeo Martegani, Armin Linke.

ZIAD NAKAD
Since his beginnings, the Lebanese designer, Ziad Nakad, has always wanted to sublimate women, weaving around the female body a precious and timeless creation. Ziad mastered the art of couture by working with countless famous fashion designers in his beloved Beirut. In 1997, he focused on turning his dream into a reality when he was invited to take part in the Beirut International Fashion Show for couture in Beirut and dressed renowned supermodels like Karen Mudler, Nadja Urman, and Jennifer Driver. Fast forward to 2016, he mesmerizes us with his talent when he presents his first couture collection in Paris at the famous Westin Hotel Paris. Nakad has already graced countless red carpets by dressing numerous celebrities, such as Grace Gealey, Sharlene Taule, Giuliana Rancic, Sofia Castro, Cheryl Cole, Nicole Scherzinger, and Alicia Quarles, to name a few.
Ziad has always invited fans, around the globe, into his world of couture, allowing them to discover a collection of muses, all different, cosmopolitan, having in common an assumed femininity. His model selection is reflective of his appreciation for beauty across the globe. His muses were decisive. The beautiful women who have worn his masterpieces come from France, Australia, Georgia, United States, Germany, Netherlands and Korea, emphasizing the fact that beauty is universal.
Throughout the collection, we find the signature of Ziad Nakad: oversized shoulders, marked waists, underlined by jeweled belts and embroidery. The signature dresses are created like mosaics, sewn square by square at the atelier in Beirut. A work of 6 months, an incalculable number of hours per dress, in order to create

this perfect architecture which molds to the body of the woman. Tulle, taffeta, and lace highlight here and there, a slender silhouette. A line of accessories, Swarovski belts, and oversized earrings complete the silhouette.
We asked Ziad a few questions that were chosen to encourage you to look into this fashion house when selecting gowns for your upcoming wedding or special occasion.
WHO IS THE WOMAN YOU DRESS?
The confident woman who loves and admires details and sophistication, who has a strong personality and dazzles everyone around, with her high sense of elegance.
WHAT TIPS DO YOU HAVE FOR A WOMAN LOOKING FOR THE DRESS OF HER DREAMS, FOR ANY OCCASION, BUT ESPECIALLY HER WEDDING?
Allow yourself the opportunity to explore a variety of options. Make sure to choose the style that suits you most, and we’ll offer you our expertise and guidance towards making you the perfect bride.
With those words of encouragement, we know for sure that if you have the opportunity to be dressed by such a brilliant creative, you should jump on it.

HOW FAR IN ADVANCE DO CLIENTS HAVE TO BOOK?
We would prefer at least a two month timeframe between your initial inquiry and your event date to ensure that we have availability. But we accept bookings up to two years in advance, so it’s never too early.
WHAT ARE SOME TIPS YOU CAN GIVE OUR READERS AND VIEWERS ABOUT CHOOSING THE RIGHT VENDOR?
Always do your research! Speak to your videographer and photographer personally before you book with them to make sure that you have chemistry and that you are okay with things like their policies and turnover time. After all, they will have the very important task of documenting everything that you spent so much time to carefully plan, so you must make the best decision for you.
Full name: Jamila Watkins
Occupation: Photographer; Social Media Marketing
WHAT BROUGHT YOU INTO THE FIELD OF PHOTOGRAPHY AND VIDEOGRAPHY?
I decided to challenge myself to learn a new skill and was blown away at how quickly I was able to catch on and excel at photography. It was truly a hidden talent that I was able to tap into.
WHY DID YOU CHOOSE THIS PATH OF STORYTELLING?
I believe that as a creative, a unique perspective should always be your goal. Learning the technical side of photography was only a small percentage of the work. I also had to learn to put myself in the shoes of my clients and predict how they would like their stories to be told based on their personalities, interests, energy etc.
WHAT ABOUT EACH CLIENT INSPIRES YOU TO TAKE THEM ON AS A CLIENT?
We love working with clients who are full of energy and who are charismatic. These qualities really shine through in photographs and film. It always excites us to work with fun clients. It inspires creativity and creates a great vibe throughout the shoot.
World
Bride Magazine managed to catch up with the incredibly talented, a partnership in every sense, the dynamic duo, Donald and Jamila Watkins. Together they capture beautiful wedding moments in all formats, capturing imagery fit for the island.
Full name: Donald Watkins
Occupation: Director of Photography; Videographer
WHAT BROUGHT YOU INTO THE FIELD OF PHOTOGRAPHY AND VIDEOGRAPHY?
We happened upon this field as we tried to find a creative way to market another company that we own called Antigua Graduations. We purchased our very first professional camera with the intention of capturing graduating classes to create content for our social media pages. Word got around that I was a freelance photographer and soon, friends were asking me to capture their weddings. It was not long before we made the decision to officially launch out into this field and we have not looked back since.
WHY DID YOU CHOOSE THIS PATH OF STORYTELLING?
We chose this path of storytelling because we wanted our work to stand out; to go beyond just capturing weddings in a generic, traditional way. We wanted our work to be a true representation of our client’s stories; an artistic expression of their love.
Anyone can buy a camera and take photographs or stitch clips together to create a film, but if they do not have a good understanding of how to tell a story, they will struggle in this field. This is why it is so very important to us to be known first as storytellers and then media professionals.
WHAT ABOUT EACH CLIENT INSPIRES YOU TO TAKE THEM ON AS A CLIENT?
To be honest, we are always inclined to work with persons who are familiar with and love our work. This is an indication that our style of storytelling appeals to them, which usually means we are a great fit for each other.
HOW CAN OUR READERS REACH YOU?

WEDDING SPOTLIGHT
And the beat goes on…
WORDS BY XAVIER FOX
The work life balance scenario is one we’re all trying to compose successfully, however it’s easier for some more than others. Working your dream job goes a long way towards fulfilling the balance, as experienced first hand by UK wedding DJ, Terry Lewis.
“I started DJing when I was just 14 years old and living on Chalk Hill Estate in Wembley,” reflects Terry. “I was asked by a friend to DJ for his party and since it was a hobby of mine, I was keen to give it a bash. Since then I’ve not looked back and my hobby has become a full blown career.”
His deep affection for music and dance, was the motive Terry needed to leave his London job in corporate finance and set up a company called Salsa Chillout in his 30’s, and from there he moved into weddings.
Now 58 years old and still as fervent as ever on the scene, Terry has not only enjoyed a successful and lucrative business as a wedding DJ, but he’s also won a string of awards across the UK too. “I currently hold eight awards. I first won a local accolade, for ‘The Best in Essex 2012’, which was followed with another seven of which two I prize highly, the ‘Best in England’ and ‘Best Internationally’. I’ve now moved behind the curtain and in 2015, I became a judge for the Wedding Industry Awards”
So, what is the magic ingredient that keeps Terry at the top of the UK’s wedding DJ rankings? He believes it’s a blend of his attention to customer service, by curating the right sound selection, while always making sure he exceeds the bride and groom’s expectations, with a promise to give them their money back if their needs are not met. Some would say this is a risky manoeuvre in any business, however, it has served Terry well and to date his popularity has soared and the wedding grapevine sings his name in all the right circles.
Proving that a teenage boy’s hobby can become a grown man’s dream job, Terry freely admits his books are now bulging. Cultivated from a slim start with a mere two weddings a month, as time’s evolved, he’s become admirably busier and just last August juggled 15 weddings, while charging a handsome £2000 for a London based wedding and £1,500 for weddings outside of the capital. Terry would argue that to follow your passion, and in doing so find your purpose, the rest will unfold as long as hard work, determination and a good business ethic are all at work.
Quizzed on his marketing direction, Terry notes, “I’ve no need to market my business since winning the awards. I’m fortunate to be thriving due to word of mouth, however, as with the rest of the world, the pandemic did stop me in my tracks; I relied heavily on recommendations once we opened up again. This form of advertising was an unreserved blessing, as this avenue has been critical to getting my bookings steady.”
Forced to resort to virtual meetings over Zoom, planning weddings took a new turn during the lockdown season. To secure some income and future proof his business, Terry took a 20% deposit from each couple and all parties waited patiently for covid to subside.
Never without a smile, this dapper DJ at 58 years old is as lively, passionate and excited as he always was and shows no signs of stopping. “In my role as host, I really enjoy bringing love, excitement and fun to a wedding,” he smiles. “Making the bride and groom’s day, by igniting the evening with good music, is pure joy for me.”
Always busy and up for a challenge, Terry merges all his talents and hobbies into a year long cycle of activity. Also, a trained fitness coach, Terry runs his coaching business, which he promotes on Facebook, from January to April, has a buy to let property side line and then dives full throttle into weddings from spring until mid winter.
With a future that looks bright and no plans to retire on his horizon, Terry admits he’s looking out for a protégé.
A young DJ he can mentor to gradually take over responsibilities, as he continues to sparkle in the role of ‘master of ceremonies’, a role he’s particularly fond of. With the harsh British winter weather giving him aspirations to travel to warmer climes during the colder months, Terry’s parting words to couples looking to book their wedding DJ are, “Make sure you talk to as many MC DJs as you can. Find someone that will exceed your expectations, avoid making judgements based on websites, emails or telephone conversations; always have a face to face meeting with the DJ to determine if you want them at your wedding. It has to be a partnership, a good working relationship, it must have a certain synergy. Don’t believe everything that’s said, do your own research, get feedback from past couples and make sure you are hiring a person who cares about your day.”

SPOTLIGHT ENTERTAINMENT
Consumers and industry leaders, alike, have brought up deep concerns about sustainability and the impact it has on our planet. Since WBM’s mission has moved in the direction of sustainability, we wanted to address this topic and highlight several designers and business that love the planet as much as you do—and who are doing everything possible to ensure that fashion operates in a responsible way. This will not happen overnight, and it will require all to contribute toward the movement that is taking place.
First up, is from my home borough: Consignment Brooklyn, formerly known as Eva Gentry Consignment. Eva Dayton opened her doors in 1999, over 20 years ago! This chic boutique is on Atlantic Avenue, one of the busiest streets in the city, with some of the most eclectic business. You can go home shopping, bridal dress shopping, cake shopping, jewelry shopping, and antique shopping, then transition to grabbing nourishment at one of the many restaurants, such as Bacchus, our favorite hotspot for great brunches.

Up next is my go to platform The Real Real. They offer the most diverse luxury branded products of all the resale brands as far as I am concerned. During the pandemic they proved to be our business saving platforms to pull some of the best looks to create content for you, our readers, with the most splended brands we have consistently brought you. Brands such as Cartier, Chanel, Dior, Romona Keveza, Oscar de la Renta, Prada, Pamela Rowland and Tiffany’s & Co to name a few.
There are levels to this platform. Items are curated and rated between fair to pristine condition. I chose to only stay in the very good and pristine space to ensure our purchase was picture perfect. Many of the items I have to admit will forever stay in the WBM closet because they are that good. The Real Real is definitely one to check out for all your high fashion needs if you are a guest attending the wedding, the bride for her engagement dinner and honeymoon shopping needs. Even if you are the mother of the bride or groom. You will definitely find something to wear.
The Cobbler based in Miami, Florida is the place for those of you who have the most eclectic of tastes in “vintage” luxury goods
Next up is The Cobbler based in Miami. For those of you who have the most eclectic of “vintage “ luxury goods. The Cobbler is your must go to people to send them to for restoration. If you ask my friends and family I do NOT like to part ways with items that I love. I have leather goods, bags, shoes, and even clothing I have had since my 20’s still in great condition. But the few items that have been worn out and need some love can still be found in my possession. So thank goodness I found The Cobbler.
This family owned business gives new life to your precious items. Take for instance my beloved Prada leather and canvas bag. It needed a good cleaning, the handles replaced, and bottom of the bag reshaped. They simply had me send images of the bag, sent me a price quote. I boxed it up and shipped it. They sent me confirmation of recipes and once the work was done, I made my payment and in a matter of days my precious bag was back in my possession. The company has brilliant artisans that are skilled to handle a variety of items from bags, shoes, hats, and watches. They are on point with their customer service. Give them a call and be sure to tell them World Bride Magazine sent you.
While you plan your wedding day or attending your best friends wedding, and you are going through your closet and come across that item you kept for all those years, don’t worry, you don’t have to get rid of it unless you want to at The Real Real or Consignment Brooklyn, or you can restore them with The Cobblers. We will do our part in the wedding industry to live a more sustainable lifestyle while being fashionably fabulous. Investing in luxury goods has its perks.
When you invest in quality goods, its all about caring for the products while they are in your possession. And when you are ready to part with them, you will never be at a loss.
Remember, always, always invest wisely

Room Shifter To Curator: AMAL AMEEN Is Making An Impression
Ibelieve great leaders carry a distinct presence about themselves that needs no introduction. They move in silence and shock everyone with their results. They take any seat, because no matter what, they will certainly become the center of attention. This describes the day Amal Ameen walked into the New York City showroom of the Atelier show, during New York Luxury Bridal Fashion Week. Discreetly commanding the attention of the room, to my surprise, she humbly observed the presentation and was quite approachable during social interactions.
Amal Ameen is one of the most celebrated business women in Qatar and the Gulf region. She is an award‑winning business woman, internationally and locally, for the work that she does. She is recognized as an iconic figure in the fashion world (among the elite of Paris, London, New York, and India) for her impeccable taste.
Amal started her professional career as an interior designer, but being a lover of all things fashion‑ related foreshadowed her inevitable transition into fashion. Every detail about her is perfectly curated—makeup, nails, and accessories—all telling a story about who she is. While she may be formally trained, the gifts that she possess cannot be credited to an institution, they are innate. Her gifts of painting and sketching were manifested when she was but a child and nurtured by her mother, whom she says she derives her inspiration from.
Her eye for beauty, combined with her education, groomed her to become one of the most respected figures in The Gulf, while also being recognized internationally. This thirst for greatness sent her on countless journeys, in search of great creators, such as herself, to offer them an opportunity to showcase their artistry in her boutiques in Doha.
With Doha, Qatar as her home‑base, Amal is committed to building the region into an art and fashion hub. She is determined to make Doha an epicenter for the arts, breaking the stigma that women of the Gulf region are not able to be progressive and modern. Amal Ameen is committed to being a positive force for all women, of all nationalities. She wants to empower new designers and artists by mentoring them through the process of becoming a successful business owner.
We are proud to say that she retails Ziad Nakad, the designer whose gown graces our Fall 2022 cover, in her shops. You are invited to visit her boutiques for all your shopping needs. WBM is proud to introduce you to such brilliant talent from the Middle East, worth taking a trip to experience. Happy shopping!

PORTLAND HARBOR
If you are in love with the water as much as I am, you will love Maine. There is a certain calmness that comes over you when you visit Maine. It truly is a stress reliever. Planning a wedding can become very stressful because of all the moving parts involved. So, whether you are planning a honeymoon, or a destination wedding, think of Maine as your stress reliever. Life in Maine is very laid-back and leisurely.
They are known for their amazing seafood selections. I know for a fact I over-ate during my visit there. During my stay, I elected to visit the amazing Portland Harbor Inn, which was in the downtown of the city and within walking distance of everything I wanted to experience: the art museum, thrift shopping, and mom-and-pop shops that deserve our support. I even caught a movie there, Woman King, starring the brilliant Viola Davis. Epic!
The Portland Harbor Hotel stands premier, in a sea ofoptions, when it comes to where to stay while in Portland. The property is fully-equipped to entertain you and your guests for wonderful soirees. Whether you are coming for a honeymoon celebration, staycation, vacation, or bachelorette and bachelor party, the space is well-suited for it.
Their garden is stunning. It is well cared for and designed in a way that it can host a nice group for a welcoming reception or the reception after the wedding.
The dining experience at the Harbor Bistro & Terrace is unbelievable. The food is fresh and mouth-watering delicious. The chefs on staff are accommodating and will work with you on curating a menu that will suit your occasion.
They do have indoor venues that are traditional to hotels. My question, however, is why stay inside when you can experience the great outdoors?
The room sizes are roomy enough to make you feel like royalty. And they can accommodate large group sizes for any stays.
I even had an opportunity to learn the history of the region by taking one of the tours narrated by Portland Discovery Land & Sea. There is so much to learn when you are guided by a local that is knowledgeable of the region and its history. It should serve as a teaser for you to go in-depth by learning more. The sights were splendid and I made friends along the way.
Maine is definitely a must visit destination!

WARWICK DENVER
Whether you live in the United States, or not, this article is going to be very useful to you when planning your wedding, either as a local, or as a destination wedding. In the upcoming issues, we will share some of our favorite places with you, as we travel the entire United States of America. Yes, I said the whole entire name, so you know you are in for a treat.
So, how you want to get to each destination will be totally up to you and your circumstances. As a resident, the US can be reached by personal vehicle, bus, train, and airplane. For others, outside of the country, you can visit via airplane and cruise ship. As the famous song said, “I don’t care how you get here, just get here if you can.”
The U.S. is a country made ‑up of 50 states, covering North America, with Alaska in the northwest and Hawaii extending the nation’s presence into the Pacific Ocean.
We traveled to Colorado and found this part of the country absolutely beautiful. Denver, to be specific, which is the capital of Colorado. It is a metropolis dating to the Old West era. This was home to countless Native Americans.
According to sources, Denver originally belonged to the Arapaho tribe, as laid out in the 1851 Treaty of Fort Laramie. When gold was discovered in the late 1850s, white settlers arrived in the area in large numbers and began asserting their right to the land, leading to the Treaty of Fort Wise in 1861, and cessation of land by some tribal leaders. In 1864, the Sand Creek Massacre resulted in the deaths of hundreds of Arapaho and Cheyenne people, and soon after, these nations would be relocated out of Colorado.
Other indigenous nations native to Colorado include the Apache, Comanche, Shoshone, and Ute. The latter includes the Southern Ute Indian Tribe and Ute Mountain Ute Tribe, federally recognized tribes that have their current headquarters in Ignacio, CO and Towaoc, CO, respectively. These groups have historically lived in the southern and western portions of the state.
When planning our trip, we decided to use the Hotel Tonight app, which provided us with a variety of locations in the heart of downtown Denver. We wanted to stay somewhere that was easy to navigate and close to the heart of all the historical activities. The Warwick Denver Hotel was my favorite. Another reason why I chose this property is its amenities, such as an in house restaurant, Gattara Uptown's Italian American Eater, in room dining for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, a rooftop swimming pool, and a pool bar. They are fully equipped to host your wedding, and other related soirees, on property.
Because we knew we would be traveling to Silver Springs to visit the INHERENT store (after attending their anticipated fashion show in Denver's SoBo district, produced by 303 Magazine), we wanted convenience.
They have a wonderful range of small businesses worthy of patronizing. Denver and Silver Springs are wonderful towns with friendly people that will definitely make you feel welcomed.
The drive from Denver to Silver Springs is just magical. Being that close to nature, and viewing the landscape, will leave you in awe.

Let’s face it, when many hear the very mention of “The Hamptons,” there is a perception that it is made exclusively for the well-todo. Afterall, the cost of homes is absolutely astronomical. For some, it may be their second home, while for many, it is their main home, year- round. Wherever you fall, it is still your sanctuary—the beaches, shopping, cultural activities, wine, and dining are all experiences that are definitely served on a silver platter out there.
The Hamptons, located on eastern Long Island’s South Fork, is a series of seaside communities famously known as a summer destination for affluent New York City residents, celebrities, and notable figures. Its beaches, perfectly-manicured green lawns, and farmlands are just some of the attractions that make it one of the most sought-after destinations to see and be seen. Its towns and villages are home to a variety of 18th-century shingle buildings and estates that are hidden behind tall boxwood hedges that will leave you breathless. East Hampton is home to high-end restaurants, bars, and designer boutiques, such as Valentino, Chanel, Cartier, and Ralph Lauren, to name a few.
If you choose to invest in having a home in that part of New York, our favorite real estate agents are Jenny Landy and Zack Dayton. They both are qualified to help you find your perfect vacation or year-round home.
If you simply want a hotel experience, there are countless properties available to you, as long as you plan well-ahead and understand that when the season comes around, it will become increasingly challenging to find accommodations. Especially during the Hampton Classic Horse Show, which closes-out the summer with a bang.
Some of our favorite spots to recommend, as far as hotels, are EHP Resort & Marina, which we will expound upon in the next issue. The Hamptons is definitely a family kind of place which celebrates a healthy, outdoor lifestyle that engages all ages. They have countless museums, eateries, boating, and hiking activities for you and your guests to enjoy while visiting.

Mustang in Tibetan translates to Plain of Aspiration. It is bordered by the Tibetan plateau with an elevation that rises from 1,372 to 8,167 meters above sea level. The extraordinary 29 all suite lodge will open on 1 March 2023, offering perfectly curated journeys and 360 degree luxury experiences in the Himalayas, one of the world's most unique and preserved regions. The spacious 45 square metre suites are inspired by traditional Tibetan homes with vast open plan bedrooms and living areas that boast floor to ceiling windows with otherworldly views of the Nilgiri mountain.
As usual, multi award winning design genius Bill Bensley adds his creative magic to the mountain lodge, bringing a unique and sympathetic verve to an untouched location. The interiors will reflect with rich tones of the surrounding landscapes using warm hued fabrics. Huge fire pits on the outdoor terrace will allow guests to remain warm as they admire endless stars and the waxing and waning of the moon in the night sky as the temperatures plummet. In his typical upcycling style and sustainable mindset, Bensley uses recycled materials that he has repurposed into eccentric new furniture.
every day for up to two weeks, including trekking, rock climbing, horse riding, cycling, archery, hiking, helicopter tours and wellness. Each experience is led by Bensley Adventure Guides as guests explore rarely travelled trails through dramatic landscapes.
Bensley says of the lodge, “This is perhaps one of the most exciting projects we have ever had. I have never seen such wildly dramatic landscapes as the mountains and valleys of Mustang.
I am thrilled that Shinta Mani can be the first to introduce this Forbidden Kingdom to international adventurers and all the more so under the special wing of the Bensley Collection. This will be their base camp for explorations all around these phenomenal mountains, as always guided by our kind and infinitely knowledgeable Bensley Adventure Guides, for the experience of a lifetime”.
Set to be one of the most spectacular Tibetan home‑inspired boutique hotels in the Forbidden Kingdom, Shinta Mani Mustang – A Bensley Collection is at the gateway to Tibet. Mustang is the secluded Tibetan Kingdom just north of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Mountains; it’s one of the world's last fortresses of intact Tibetan culture. Shinta Mani Mustang – A Bensley Collection is in the shadows of the formidable Mount Nilgiri. It is steeped in rich Buddhist culture, peppered with beautiful monasteries, palaces and gompas and the highest snow capped peaks in the world. It's barren and magical. The Kaligandaki River has caused deeply eroded canyons to form modern day pathways connecting remote villages and their inhabitants. Whilst Mustang is politically part of Nepal; it shares the climate, geography, language and culture with Tibet.
Shinta Mani Mustang – A Bensley Collection is the perfect place to explore the well kept secrets of the Forbidden
Kingdom. Visitors experience a sense of calm and innocence whilst walking in the ancient spiritual footsteps of those that have traversed the time worn banks of the Kaligandaki River. The winter months see deep snow, and the jagged mountains become the forbidden kingdom with breathtaking silence and unimaginable stillness. Only in the past three decades have visitors been permitted to explore these wild and unchartered lands.
Inside, every area will be complemented by the artwork of the late artist Robert Powell, a friend of Bensley's who lived, breathed, drew and painted the region's vernacular architecture in incredible detail. The Nilgiri Restaurant, named after the majestic mountain, has a large outdoor dining patio where modern Nepal cuisine and western cuisine will be served, using locally sourced and chef foraged produce. The Aara Bar is named after an exotic local Tibetan sherpa liquor.
The Wellness Center has two exquisite treatment suites with floor to ceiling windows facing the mountains. Each has a hot plunge pool, steam room, sauna, shower and two massage beds. The Tibetan wellness programme is being developed by a local 11th generation Tibetan Amchi Doctor, using traditional herbal medicine.
Shinta Mani Hotels has partnered with Sherpa Hospitality Group to create world class luxury hotel experiences in the Himalayas. A highly personalised, privately guided guest experience programme will honour the traditions of local Sherpa hospitality. A selection of unique excursions allows guests to experience a different trip
In keeping with Shinta Mani’s philosophy of giving back to the communities in which they operate, the lodge will work closely with the Psang Lhamu Foundation. It is a non profit, non political, non government organisation with the core pillars of education, vocation training, health and immediate assistance. The owning family set up the foundation after their mother became the first Nepalese woman to walk a trail to the summit of Mount Everest some 30 years ago.
Rates at the all inclusive Shinta Mani Mustang will start from USD1,700 per couple per night for a minimum 5 night stay. Rates include all food and beverages, private guided activities and excursions, unlimited spa treatments, a personal Bensley Adventure Guide and transfers between Kathmandu and Jomson. www.mustang.shintamani.com.

We were elated when we saw Beyonce grace the billboards of Tiffany & Co’s Manhattan, Miami and other boutiques signaling the calling of a new age of glamour for the next generation of fashion forward icons.
Tiffany is a name that resonates across generations and cultures, part of the fabric of social and cultural history, an American institution gifted to the world, an emporium of escapism, a repository of dreams.
So it only makes perfect sense that the iconic family in literature, Assouline, reminds us of this great American iconic legacy brand through their pages of their collectors book.
Why not? Afterall, on your wedding day you want to be bejeweled. And the books make for a great gift for one's home–a must have accessory for any coffee table and or library.
So make haste and head over to Assouline’s website or boutiques and collect your copy. You won’t be disappointed.
“Today Tiffany continues to bring fantasy to its annual high jewelry collections, while also speaking to new generations through original collections that offer personal self-expression, so much part of Charles Lewis Tiffany’s original concept. The beat goes on, the pulse of New York and of creativity, the quest for modernity and originality intertwined with reverence for Tiffany’s great heritage.”
