REAL WORLD BRIDES WHAT LOVE MEANS TO HER? Love is SlapTastic. When I reconnected with Theron and saved his name in my phone, I saved it as SlapTastic. The way I feel about him, when I am with him, the dreams and aspirations I have for our lives are rooted in love, and I can only sum it up as SlapTastic. A feeling so great I had to make up a word.
WHAT WAS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING ABOUT YOUR WEDDING TO HER? Love is in the details. I wanted to infuse elements from our courtship, travel, and family into our special day. We had an abundance of symbolic gestures like jumping the broom, balloon release, the three cord ceremony and honoring our parents (my mom, his dad) who witnessed our union from heaven. I gave Theron a photo charm of his father on his wedding day which he wore on his lapel; we gave his mother a photo charm with a picture from her wedding day and my godmother a photo of her and my mother. I had a handkerchief made for my dad with fabric from my mom’s dress and lace from my dress. Most important, presenting our mutual friend 2.0 by kashmirviii) as a thank-you for connecting

WHERE DID YOU GET MARRIED? Prshant and Chandni got married in Delhi, India. They had a three day Indian wedding, which included a mehendi night,
happiness and sorrow, respecting each other’s life goals and giving each other the space to grow as individuals. I always told Chandni, “Love is like a bird in a cage, true love is learning to let her go, and if she loves you, she will always come back to you.”
WHAT MARRIAGE MEANS TO HIM ? Marriage is a fun journey — we enjoy life together, learn from each other and bring out the best in one another. Chandni can make me feel like a kid and can also motivate me to pursue my dreams — that is exactly what I wanted! There is never a dull moment with her.
sangeet ceremony, and finally the wedding.
WHAT WAS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING ABOUT PLANNING YOUR WEDDING TO HER? The most important aspect of our wedding was getting the decoration, ambiance, and series of events/activities right for each ceremony. Indian weddings are not only about the union of the bride and groom, but more importantly about the families coming together. We wanted to make sure that everyone felt included and a part of something very special. We believed that the decoration and colors of each event would help set the fun mood we wanted. During the sangeet ceremony, each family member had a chance to express their joy and happiness by dancing, singing a song, raising a toast or speech. 18 | World Bride Magazine

DO I HAVE TO SEND SAVE THE DATE? WHY DO I EVEN HAVE TO SEND A SAVE THE DATE? You don't have to, depends. Do you have contact, even just on social media like Facebook, Instagram, etc, to those you're inviting? Or has it been a while? If it's been years since you've seen some of your guests, then a Save the Date is a great way to say, “Hi! Long time no see, good news. I'm getting married and I’d love you to be there!” Plus, if you have engagement photos taken, you'll want to use those and Save the Dates are a great way to showcase those.
DO MY GUEST STILL HAVE TO RSVP? WHEN IS THE CLOSE OF DATE FOR THE RSVP? Yes. Please! People seem to still need help remembering it is very important to RSVP. Ballet will always be my first love, but I find that the attention to detail, patience, and single-minded focus on process is wonderfully familiar. WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO GET INTO THE INDUSTRY? My Love of Design. I started my career in Interior design; those projects tend to take a longer time to complete and see your design come to fruition. In the world of events you can be a bit more creative in a shorter period of time and transform a space into whatever your theme your client imagines.
WHEN DID YOU KNOW YOU WANTED TO BE PART OF THE INDUSTRY? About 7 years ago my sister asked me to throw her a baby shower from start to finish, creating centerpieces and entire theme—there began my career in the events industry.
WHAT SPECIFICALLY INSPIRES YOUR CREATIVE JUICES? I love when I click with a client and we have a trust between us that allows a give-and-take relationship to come up with design that showcase the clients personality and my creative flair. I absolutely love a client who is not afraid of color. Even a splash of color can invoke an entirely different ambiance and feeling from the space to guests who experience that space.
WHEN DESIGNING A SPACE WHO DECIDES YOU OR THE COUPLE? The best ideas for a space comes from a true collaboration of like minded individuals. The client who isn’t afraid to give up some control in the planning process which is hard for brides they want to make sure that every detail has been thought out. I am big on collaborating, feeding off of each others energy is always a WIN-WIN!
WHAT ARE THE COSTS INVOLVED IN DESIGNING A SPACE? Cost depends on the venue space, budget and how involved I am in the process of creating the desired look for the event. Day of coordination starts at $500 for minimum 4 hours where the couple has done all the leg work and we are there the day of to manage vendors, guests, etc. For full event coordination and floral design we start at $1,500 offering guidance with color palette and theme, venue selection, vendor management and floral for ceremony, reception and CONTINUED ON PAGE 146

When my friend Anushree Agarwal invited me to her wedding as a special guest, I knew this would be an adventure of a lifetime and also a time for me to explore my own views on how I define beauty, and see the world. I booked my flight and packed my bags on a mission to discover the deeper meaning of beauty and learn firsthand about the sacred beauty rituals of the Indian bride. The countdown to the wedding had begun, but in between bridal fittings, and jewelry shopping, we also went #BeautyExploring the lands of India, visiting

Conversation, romance, proposals, and life, all over a well cooked meal presented in love. From the moment you laid your eyes on your beloved you knew that you would savor every moment as you did the first plate of food that was presented to you the first night you had your first dinner. The presentation, the exquisite way in which each morsel was placed on the perfectly white plate that your server brought to you that fine romantic moment. If you had your way you would relive that day over and over again.

should be done with love and care. This spring we had the pleasure of engaging with one of the industry’s lovely tabletop brands: Q Squared NYC. This mother and daughter team is a brand that is formed after our own hearts. With our passion for travel and entertaining, we fell in love with their designs instantly along with its everyday practical use, durability, and the elegance of each design. Nancy Young Mosny and Alaina Young created the brand in 2011. In an effort to inspire others to live elegantly every day, Nancy and Alaina sought to create 100% high-quality melamine tableware, where art and inspiration meets practicality and functionality. And aren’t we glad they did. So don’t hesitate to invite guests over for a meal or have the children partake of the elegance of a well-designed meal served on a great set of tableware that will make your grandmother proud. Go ahead indulge. You deserve it. Saying that she’s passionate about yoga probably downplays who she is and what she’s done. Lara developed Quantum Yoga, which is a dynamic form of yoga based around what is most suitable for you, which is determined by identifying your dosha. In Ayurveda, there are three doshas (mind-body-types) which are categorized at Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. It’s pretty interesting so if you have a chance to discover your dosha, it’ll likely enlighten you on how to approach health and wellness in the way that’s best for you!

In the bathroom, I tested out a luscious cream in a burnt orange, cinnamon, and pepper fragrance (a signature of Tri) that I guarantee would lightweight cotton curtains with grassy prints, soft sheets (my bed spread had a fab peacock print), and the most minimal decor touches that really bring home the “less is more” philosophy. I padded around my villa, feeling the cool tiled floor beneath my feet and silently taking in every element that has been thoughtfully integrated to create this peaceful haven. Wherever you are, whether you’re sitting on the sofa or lounging on the bed, you’re spoilt for choice with an idyllic view that seems too good to be true. There are also windows along the top of the walls, leaving you with no lack of sunshine and further blurring the line between indoors and out. As I poked around, I found bottles of fresh water and a nut mix neatly displayed in the bedroom, perfect for a mid-afternoon snack. (Word of warning: if you do want to pop a few of these nuts into your mouth, make sure there isn’t a chilli mixed in there because it will just about blow your head off. And hey, if you feel like a nighttime dip…! You won’t find TVs, music, or fridges in the rooms and you know what? You won’t even notice. HOW TO FIND THE RIGHT WEDDING SUIT - THE GUIDELINES THAT YOU NEED TO FOLLOW Just got engaged? Well, congratulations! Get ready as you enter the world of crazy wedding planning. Invitation cards, venue, food, photography, and videos are the biggest ticket items in the preparation list that couples need to sort before the big day. But if there’s one thing that is often left out in the preparation until the very end, it’s the groom’s tuxedo or the wedding suit. And before you know it, you’re slowly falling into the pit of panic. It’s a red flag! What will the groom wear? Should he buy a new suit, rent or just pull out something from his closet. And what’s best to wear? A tuxedo, a tie, a vest with a tie or something else entirely?
For the grooms-to-be, no need to worry. When it comes to buying the right suit or tuxedo, the rule of thumb is to be relatively straightforward. But, there are some guidelines that you need to follow. Of course, the earlier you start canvassing for the right suit, the better. Just like the bride’s wedding dress, the groom’s wedding suit should be equally special. The following tidbits of inputs can give you practical guidance. Read this article carefully, and you’ll be fashionably dressed while waiting for your bride in the aisle.
HOW FORMAL IS YOUR WEDDING? What is the motif of your wedding? Church or garden? Country casual? Beach or ballroom? These are some of the questions that soon-to-wed couples will be asking themselves. It shouldn’t come as a surprise that the level of formality in the venue is the biggest factor of your wedding day attire.

Choosing the right wedding suit for the groom relies on how formal the wedding will be. For example, a very formal wedding will likely require a black-tie event. For a very casual wedding, other rules may apply. Take your cue from the examples below. CASUAL Let’s take a look at beach wedding as an example. The groom will need a wardrobe with breathable fabric to keep him comfortable. It could be cotton or linen. As for the shoes, it will probably be something casual as well. There are cases where the groom just wears a pair World Bride Magazine | 143

suit a formal and confident look. Moreover, choose a suit with soft and delicate fabric, something smooth to touch like satin. SEMI-FORMAL We’re through with formal outfits, now let’s tackle semi-formal fashion. If the wedding has a semi-formal theme, the groom is probably not supposed to wear a tuxedo. It could be a garden, beach or black-tie themed wedding. If you consider the venue for these themes, it could be an open space, a chic barn, flower gardens, etc. For this instance, it’s ideal for the groom to choose a three-piece wedding suit. It may seem formal but not if you choose a softer shade, something in a navy or gray tone color. Avoid pinstripes because they are more suitable for work than a wedding.
GETTING THE RIGHT FIT IS IMPORTANT The most important thing for choosing the right
wedding suit is the fitting. Regardless if the groom chooses to wear a vest, a t-shirt or a tuxedo, right fitting is what matters the most. Short sleeves, pants that are too long, baggy jeans, etc. are just a big no-no for a wedding. These items of clothing don’t just look bad: they also hide the beauty of the person wearing them. People should see the groom looking well-dressed and fit in his wedding suit. When clothes appear sloppy, it can be distracting and noticeable in person, which will only ruin the photo sessions afterward. It’s best to consult an expert when it comes to suits and tuxedos. No matter where you choose to shop, make sure that you have someone who will help you look for the best suit that fits well. The same advice applies if you choose to wear something that’s already in the closet. One good way to update an old suit is through

For the sleeve length, it should show the shirt cuff for about a half inch or so, but not too much.
