LOVE, DEATH, AND THE STRUGGLE FOR SOCIAL JUSTICE The blockbuster novel, Les Misérables by Victor Hugo comes to life in a six-part miniseries airing on WSIU TV Sundays at 8pm from April 14 through May 19. Dominic West stars as fugitive Jean Valjean, with David Oyelowo as his pursuer Inspector Javert and Lily Collins as the luckless single mother Fantine. Ellie Bamber and Josh O'Connor costar as the young lovers Cosette and Marius. Known as one of the longest and most engaging novels ever written, the novel is as relevant today as it was in the socially tumultuous 19th century.
