S U N D AY S AT 7 P M • 3 / 2 5 - 5 / 6 Journey back to East London with a seventh season of the critically-acclaimed British drama Call the Midwife. The story continues as it follows the midwives through the intense winter of 1963 where they are challenged as never before. Season seven introduces a new face with the addition of a new midwife, Lucille Anderson (Leonie Elliott; Black Mirror), the first West Indian midwife to be featured as a series regular. THE CHILD IN TIME S U N D AY A P R I L 1 S T • 8 P M Benedict Cumberbatch (Sherlock) returns to PBS in a new drama, The Child in Time, on Sun, April 1 at 8pm. The program depicts every parent’s worst nightmare, following Stephen Lewis (Cumberbatch) and his wife Julie Lewis (Kelly Macdonald; Boardwalk Empire) as they search for their fouryear-old daughter, Kate (Beatrice White), after she mysteriously disappears during a shopping outing. With the gentlest touch of the fantastical, this riveting story explores the twin themes of the title - childhood and time - leading to a conclusion that is as surprising as it is gratifying.

Two more familiar faces return to PBS in the criticallyacclaimed UK crime series Unforgotten. Season one finds the characters trying to solve a cold case of murder that tests the wits of crime-solving duo DCI Cassie Stuart (Nicola Walker, Last Tango in Halifax) and DS Sunny Khan (Sanjeev Bhaskar; Indian Summers). Season two, which premieres on April 29, follows the case of a man who disappers, only to have his body discovered in a waterlogged suitcase.

In March, Invisibilia returned to WSIU Radio with a fourth season that continued to examine the unseeable forces that control human behavior and shape our ideas, beliefs, and assumptions. Tune in this month for an encore of season three which featured unique explorations into the depth of our ‘inner self’– from seeking to understand how emotions are made, to learning how we construct reality, to learning how we come to understand, make, and reshape our concepts of culture. Invisibilia airs Saturdays at 2pm on WSIU Radio until April 28th.

GET READY TO READ! The Great American Read is an eight-part television and online series designed to spark a national conversation about reading and the books that have inspired, moved, and shaped us. The book list will be revealed this month and will include 100 fictional titles spanning different themes like - love, heroes, villains, other worlds, and what it means to be an American. Audiences are encouraged to read the books, vote from the list of 100, and share their personal connections to the titles. Voting opens on Tuesday, May 22.
