WHY SHOULD I APPLY?

Serving on the District Board is one of the most rewarding things you can do during your t in Circle K. As a board member you get to help shape and lead the district. You help run workshops and events, set goals, plan events, and make the district an amazing place to for other members. Many people think you have to be a prodigy to serve in these positio but we all started out the same way.

All board members start as club members and become leaders in these roles because o members. Either they were inspired by leaders around them, encouraged by others, or d to do more for the membership of Wisconsin-Upper Michigan.

Whatever your reasons or hesitations may be, everyone can lead and anyone can serve these roles. No matter what position you decided to take on, some things are guaranteed you will grow, you will change, and you will lead!

Apply for District Secretary The District Secretary is the organizational backbone to the district board. They keep minutes of all of the meetings, maintain the District Monthly report form, and act as a resource to all of the members in the district. If you are organized and want to do more for the members, then this is the position for you!

The District Bulletin Editor is responsible for creating publications on behalf of Wisconsin-Upper Michigan C learn all about the clubs and what is happening in WU and marketing person for the clubs and district board. design and people this is the position for you! Apply for Lakes Lieutenant Governor The Lakes LTG acts as a resource and district board liaison to clubs at UW-Green Bay, St. Norbert College, Lawrence University, UW-Oshkosh, and Ripon College. In this role you get to work closely with each club board by having regular communications with them, visiting them, and hosting your own divisional rally. If you love getting involved and learning about other clubs, then this role was made for you!

Apply for Service Chair Service is the foundation of our beloved organization. As the Service Chair, you will provide service project ideas and tips to clubs, keep track of the district serviced hours, plan service projects at district events, and organize Kiwanis Family Service Day. If you live, eat, sleep, and breath service, then this position is the perfect fit!

Apply for Kiwanis Family Outreach Chair Do you love the Kiwanis Family? Do you wish cubs did more with other branches of the K-family? If so, then you can help the district with that! As the Kiwanis Family Outreach Chair, you will help clubs learn how to utilize the other branches, how to work together, fundraise, and much, much more! You also get to plan and organize events such as the Kiwanis Family Hockey Night, Kiwanis Family Baseball Game, and the Kiwanis Family Service Day! Spring Fling 2016:

Spring Fling is just around the corner! Come visit Camp Wawbeek and get “Hooked on Service” f with your fellow WUM Circle Kers!

What is Camp Wawbeek? It is run by the Easter Seals of Wisconsin as a summer camp for campers

Spring Fling, Circle Kers help prepare camp for summer by raking leaves, getting the pool ready, clean wood, or whatever service is needed from us.

Why go to Spring Fling? This weekend will packed with service, workshops, and connections! Friday

and a movie, Saturday will have service project opportunities, engaging workshops, and great evening

mascot auction and club skits, WUM rummage sale, and midnight breakfast at Denny’s. This weekend i you to learn more about and get involved with Circle K on a District level!
