Our interdisciplinary work flow Development Collaboration is in our DNA, a vast majority of our projects involve multiple disciplines that we can offer in house. This enables our style of working more suited for large projects with multiple specialized design teams working. We are BIM enabled BDP are leaders in the use of BIM platforms for delivering projects across Europe and Asia. We have dedicated BIM coordinator’s and execution protocols in place, tailored to project type and scale. Our studio’s very often work with external design consultants , architects and so that our systems are agile which ensures seamless integration into an ongoing project cycle Through our involvement in the leading edge of BIM development, we have defined processes to make best value of the design tools available. Improved collaboration, visualisation, solar studies, clash detection and less rework are just a few of the value additions with the effective use of BIM. We have a certified BIM Execution Plan. We follow processes to issue construction packages (IFCs) at LOD 350.

Innovative, quirky, city centre apartments. Positioned to take advantage of the views, the apartments have been pushed to the perimeter of the building creating a protected courtyard within. Large-scale industrial design aesthetic informs much of Abito’s structure and appearance ‘clipped on’ steel balconies serve as an extension to each of the studio apartments The 290 apartments respond to the age, gender and requirements of potential occupants.

Situated opposite Lambeth Palace overlooking the River Thames, 69 new homes are created in this outstanding location. Each apartment is shaped so that living space and balconies have multiple aspects and maximised views and daylight. The design celebrates its corner location with a sweeping curved elevation which wraps around a south facing courtyard at podium level.


128 Peter Street Location Toronto, Canada Client Aoyuan International Size 244000 SFT

Located in the heart of Toronto’s bustling Entertainment District, 128 Peter is a 39storey condominium tower designed in dialogue with the surrounding brick and beam warehouse context in a sensitive juxtaposition between old and new. The tower features dramatic cantilevers sheltering Victorian houses that sit on the site which will be respectfully restored. The high-rise residential tower includes 374 units, amenity space on the sixth floor and rooftop, and adaptive reuse of three heritage rowhouses containing 4,500 sf of retail space.

A 500,000 sq ft residential development on the former RAF Uxbridge site. 500 apartments ranging from studio, one bed and two bed typology are designed around the sloping site, with roof terracing enabling high level views overlooking the new public realm and parkland.


Expo City 5 - CG Tower

Location Vaughan, Canada Client Cortel Group Cost $145m Completion 2022

CG Tower is a landmark residential building in the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre that infuses art with the public realm and which will connect Highway 7 to the new Edgeley Park. The progressive step-backs of the form and distinctive brick cladding will rise above the nearby emerging cluster of towers with a unique and eye-catching expression

DUKE is a seven-storey condominium in the heart of Toronto’s Junction neighbourhood that adds a diverse mix of apartments, live/work units and retail to a vibrant and growing community. Retail facing the main streets engages the public, while a laneway of live/work units draw pedestrians to diverse and unique businesses.


Bata Shoe Factory

Location Ontario, Canada Client Batawa Development Corporation Cost $32m Completion 2019 The adaptive reuse of Bata’s former shoe factory in the Town of Batawa is the centrepiece of a vision to transform the former industrial town into a new model for rural sustainable development. Residential apartments, retail and community uses occupy the original structure, now enhanced with large windows, new balconies and welcoming lobby, reestablishing what was once the centre of Batawa as a destination.


1181 Queen Street West

Location Toronto, Canada Client Skale Developments Completion 2020 Acting as a gateway into the West Queen West neighbourhood, 1181 Queen Street West responds to its context with a proportional street wall along Queen Street and a series of terraces stepping to the south, framing the historic Gladstone Hotel. Irregular floorplates create unique, large end user units with adjoining terraces, providing the neighbourhood with an alternative to the single-family home.


Landsea Eco-Housing

Location Nanjing, China Client Landsea Completion 2012

A medium density development in the suburbs of Nanjing, providing several hundred units with parkland and recreational facilities. Full height louvred triple glazing on the south east balconies offer changeable and dynamic passive design, with advanced measures such as super-insulation, low air leakage and eliminating thermal bridging maximise energy savings at minimal cost.

A new apartment building consisting 54 residential units, providing a high quality environment to its residents and the canal front location. The rear of the site directly abuts the Birmingham and Fazeley canal, presenting an opportunity to address the ‘green corridor’ of the canal itself.

BDP New Delhi is working with BDP Bristol on the project. It comprises two 11 storey crescents with a 22 storey tower rising from the South building, and a 32 storey tower rising from the North building to provide up to 527 residential units, new publicly accessible open space, new pedestrian & vehicle routes and a flexible use commercial space running along the entirety of the developments western edge.

This high density project of approximately 4000 units over 12 hectures is a group of 1BHK apartments, designed as prototypes which are repeated across the site to ease prefabrication / traditional methods of construction.Since these are G +12 buildings, social spaces in the form of double-height terraces are provided at the 7th floor to create a high density high rise low income development without breaking their social structure. The buildings are clustered around courtyards and double height cut-outs at GF interconnect these courts.

As a part of the same masterplan BDP is also developing 3 pockets of compact market rate apartments which have been launched as a part of a new vertical of Lodha group called Crown. These are approximately 1250 units with a mix of 1 and 2BHKs with areas within 45sqm. These units provide luxury finishes and amenities while being economical. The building construction is being done using Mywan systems and BDP has done the entire design and co-ordination using BIM platforms.

The Dubai Hills residential project, developed for the Client Emaar, is set in the prosperous Dubai Hills community within the Al Quoz area of Dubai.

The design is for a premium midrise apartment community developed on a plot area of around 58,000sqm with an FAR ranging from 1.6-1.8 over the plots.

BDP was invited to participate in a competition to propose a Masterplan design in District 7 of Ho Chi Minh City. The client’s brief called for a luxury mixed-used residential and commercial development with a unit mix of 1-bedroom to 3 bedroom unit types, garden villas, sky suites and penthouses with supporting commercial offerings on the ground level. Our design proposal takes inspiration from Vietnam’s natural landscape to create a rich and diverse tapestry of materiality, greenery, water elements and topography. In response to District 7’s rapid urbanisation and scarcity of greenery, our design approach seeks to create a lush tropical greenery environment and an urban sanctuary for the residents, inspired by the rich tapestry of Vietnam’s natural landscape elements. The commercial and residential components are designed to create a seamless and holistic tropical environment, integrated with lush greenery and varying topography levels that mimics the hilly terrain of Vietnam’s natural landscapes. The lush greenery are extended up to the residential amenities deck, sky gardens, sky verandahs and sky bridges. Within all residential units, the sky gardens are elaborately expressed through a rich array of plants, shrubs and unique trees.

BDP’s design for the Ruwais Residential Masterplan scheme builds upon the strategic urban framework established by UPC’s masterplan and seeks to achieve a rich and varied urban form that will lead to the development of distinctive and identifiable neighborhoods. The design ethos references the coast and the desert as the two distinct architectural themes, while drawing inspiration from the landscape, architecture and urban fabric of the region. Prefabricated construction techniques will be employed across the development to ensure consistent design quality.

Examining the interface between inside and out, the LEED® Certified™ Gold Monde Condominiums bring a sustainable presence to the emerging East Bayfront neighbourhood on Toronto’s waterfront. Monde provides opportunities for large and small scale retail at street level, connecting the building to the vibrant Sherbourne Common and enhancing the public realm. A unique collection of luxury condominium units were built on top of an existing commercial tower on the busiest and most desirable stretch of Toronto’s “Mink Mile”. 130 Bloor is an innovative approach to heritage and intensification, preserving both a 1960s office tower and unique penthouse apartment, while adding luxurious suites above a busy, occupied urban structure. 21-storey mixed-use development featuring 15 luxury condominium apartments, 129,000 sf of commercial space and 20,500 sf of retail space.

Located in the historic Distillery District, the Ribbon is built with mass timber and encompasses a commercial and retail building which reflects the charm and character of the area, while the Tower adds 50 storeys of purpose-built rental units to the market. . 50-storey residential tower above a five-storey commercial podium with retail, restaurant, event space, post-secondary institutional and hotel uses, publicly accessible green roof and four levels of underground public parking plus one level of residential parking.

150 Eglinton Avenue East is a mixed-use development that includes commercial offices, retail space and a 39-storey residential tower that creates a striking skyline profile utilizing only three typical floorplates. This development accommodates a diverse program and a striking aesthetic, while contributing to Toronto’s “Midtown in Focus” vision for Yonge and Eglinton and the new Crosstown light rail transit line. 411 residential units, indoor and outdoor amenities, three-storeys of commercial office space, civic gathering area and two-storeys of retail.

The housing development comprises four separate buildings varying in height from 5 to 14 storeys accommodating 400 apartments, residents’ facilities, a community centre, nursery, food store, restaurant, café, residents’ car parking and high quality public realm. A mix of tenures is provided including affordable rented, shared ownership and market housing for sale.

A major mixed use city centre regeneration scheme providing a vibrant and sustainable new city quarter. The retail element of the scheme totals 70,000m2, with the addition of a luxury hotel, up to 143 new homes, 30 restaurants and a multi-screen cinema. The scheme is envisioned as a part of the city, extending the urban qualities of the New Town as a series of individual building blocks and public spaces. The Galleria will unite these buildings with a transparent, naturally ventilated roof.

Situated in the newly regenerated area of east London, Angel Lane is within walking distance of one of Europe’s largest shopping centres, Westfield Stratford. Housing 760 students in cluster flats, the city block form of the building is open to the south enclosing a central green heart space.


Hampden Gurney

Location London, UK Client Jarvis Holloway White Allom Ltd Cost £18m Completion 2003 This scheme was described in the 2001 edition of London Residential Research as ‘the most innovative development in central London’. 52 apartments in seven and five storey buildings are orientated to create a sun-filled courtyard garden, enjoyed from cantilevered balconies. The vertical school, with its playdecks and classrooms rising up to the tented rooftop, acts as a centrepiece to the residents’ garden.

Hale Village is a major sustainable, mixed use regeneration masterplan on a 4.9ha site adjacent to Tottenham Hale Station. The scheme includes 1,200 residential units, a 100 room hotel, 700 student accommodation rooms, offices, retail, a primary school, crèche and neighbourhood management office.

Longhouses and Tallhouses are set along a watercourse, creating a striking centrepiece at the heart of a new urban quarter in one of the Netherlands’ most beautiful historic towns. The orientation and shaping of the buildings are determined by the local micro-climatic character and are designed to maximise light to the apartments and reduce wind turbulence.

Masterplan for Canalside establishes a sustainable neighbourhood with car-free streets, prioritising cycling and pedestrian routes to key community buildings. Individual character areas are centred on a new parkland and have a varied mix of accommodation to support multi-generational living, linked through a landscape framework for a healthy and resilient community


Tollgate Gardens

Location London, UK Client Westminster City Council Cost £50m Completion 2019 This flagship regeneration project successfully increases the density of a 1960s estate by reinstating street edges and creating a large communal garden within the heart of the site. Car parking sits under the gardens to maximise open and play space for residents. The design creates a mixed community of 248 private and affordable homes with a variety of housing types.

A new residential community has been created as part of this historic town centre redevelopment. A total of 184 residential units, apartments and houses, and community gardens form a private world above this bustling shopping centre.

Jinchen Villas are designed with generous proportions and high quality materials, and take inspiration from Chinese bronze pots, with each of its three towers sitting on sturdy legs, the bowed bronze solar screen resembling the body of the pot and the duplex penthouses narrowing to form the neck.

Location The intention of this masterplan was to create a residential development Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, with several recreational features. The largest feature will be the comIndia munity golf course. Golf Estates are a fairly new phenomenon in India. BDP was commissioned by SPRE, a 150 year old real estate company, to masterplan a 900 acre site on the edge of Pune. The site is located on the cusp between the existing city and natural beauty of the Western Ghats. The site surrounds an existing 260 acre championship golf course, and is in turn encircled by hill ranges. The challenges faced by the dramatic landforms of the site and steep contours have been integrated with sensitivity into the masterplan. The development envisages a cluster of neighbourhoods which are completely self-sustainable, containing world class educational facilities, innovative working environments, pleasant living areas and various leisure options. The goal was to create a community with both IT offices and homes, i.e. an integrated township with a 50:50 mix of IT and Residential on this ecologically rich site. BDP India is currently handling the detailed Master planning and Landscaping of this project. Situated across 58.0 acres in the embrace of the Sanjay Gandhi National Park foothills, the site stands as an untouched masterpiece of nature. Characterized by gentle slopes and aweinspiring views, rich in biodiversity, it hosts over 50 varieties of trees, creating a captivating rainforest-like atmosphere that’s both enchanting and rejuvenating.

BDP is currently engaged in Master Planning and Architectural design of this 14 acre parcel located in Alibaugh near Mumbai. A mix of high-end villas and high-rise towers supplemented by full scale recreational clubhouse, the development aims to re-define luxury living for second home owners. In keeping with principles of sustainability, the design driver is vehicle free living. BDP was commissioned by SPRE, a 150 year old real estate company, to masterplan a 900 acre site on the edge of Pune. The site is located on the cusp between the existing city and natural beauty of the Western Ghats. The site surrounds an existing 260 acre championship golf course, and is in turn encircled by hill ranges. The challenges faced by the dramatic landforms of the site and steep contours have been integrated with sensitivity into the masterplan. The development envisages a cluster of neighbourhoods which are completely self-sustainable, containing world class educational facilities, innovative working environments, pleasant living areas and various leisure options. The masterplan design is amidst complex systems of existing and proposed infrastructure. Conceptualised on a 106 hectares site around Kempegowda International Airport falling under the jurisdiction of the Bangalore International Airport Planning Authority, the area consists of many natural elements. The area is near a major watershed zone and includes elements like valley, hilltops providing vantage points, and water channels has helped in guiding the design process.

A 60 acre residential development designed just on the outskirts of Pune. The master planning process involved developing and testing various layouts with different residential typologies to meet the market and financial feasibility strategies of the client. The masterplan was tested for low-rise villas, midrise flats for families and high rise apartments. It was designed to seamlessly integrate with the continuous landscape character, high parking demands and some retail sector. The towers were positioned and designed on connected multi-level podiums, with functions carefully placed inside them, along with the vehicular parking requirements. The podium tops were designed as recreational spaces for the residents. And the central green spaces were weaved with state-of-art clubs, and a non-vehicular, pedestrian-friendly movement network linking the whole development together. URBANISM/ LANDSCAPE DESIGN

BPTP Amstoria is a new township development spread over 108 acres and located in northern Gurgaon for approximately 540 new private residential units, 138 units for EWS, commercial and community facilities and group housing. The masterplan incorporates primarily residential and some retail uses with amenities for the community, within a strong landscape framework. The main residential clusters are planned with the base premise of providing maximum green frontage to each plot. Each cluster of houses is designed to be facing a large community park, with some of the more premium residences having park views on all three sides. The masterplan focused on creating a pedestrian orientated community, a cyclist-friendly environment, a mix of unique neighbourhoods, urban vibrancy and a varied open space network. The design is situated in the northern part of Bangalore. This tract of land provides a unique opportunity to create a city quarter that is complete, sustainable and a microcosm of city life. Bhartiya City will function as a self-contained unit, but is also perfectly connected to Bangalore through the proposed new peripheral ring road. The development of Bhartiya City is roughly divided into four quadrants by the future peripheral ring road and the proposed CDP road. Curved avenues extending from the CDP road provide access to the quadrants, and give Bhartiya City a unique identity. URBANISM

BDP commissioned to provide Masterplan, Building Design and Landscape up to completion for this 10 Acre site in Bangalore. The lake facing development offers premium villas and high end apartments with large terrace decks. The total FAR achieved on the project is 2.4 giving an area of 1million sqft. The design includes a mix of studio flats along with 2 and 3 bedroom units going up to 19 floors. It incorporates a club house at the mid terrace level with views of the lake.

Sunshine Hills in Karihobanahalli is an upcoming new residential township spread over 80 acres in western Bangalore in proximity of the NICE Corridor. This is located surrounded by lush orchards and agricultural fields. BDP has been commissioned by Ms SLN Infratech to design the Masterplan, which included residential towers, villas, commercial areas school and public facilities. The masterplan includes 1500 new residential apartments and 50 luxury villas along with other common facilities. The site contained a number of existing avenues shaded by mature trees. The masterplan sought to maintain these beautiful tree lines avenues and designed villas on either side of the road. The high rise accommodation is located towards the two ends. The Masterplan is focused around a central landscape green spine running diagonally across the site giving structure and integrating the existing trees on site. URBANISM

The Edu-Health City aims to integrate within one campus and one management the facilities of medical care and teaching as well as research and development. The project is part of the government’s initiative via a PPP agency INKEL to create an environment for overall growth of various economic sectors and to develop world class infrastructure in the state of Kerala colloquially described as ‘God’s Own Country’.

Masterplan and Landscape design for a 158 acres hilly site with villas, towers and commercial buildings as the main elements. The natural drainage channels have been retained and form a part of the larger landscape strategy. The site for the residential township is 180 acre in size and lies close to village Bhugaon on west of the Pune city. The township is envisaged as a planned neighbourhood that respects and enhances its natural landscape setting. A vibrant community that emerges from a well-integrated mix of residential typologies that are sensitively placed within a structured open space system consisting of landscaped avenues, plazas, parks and meandering paths.
