Welcome to our March issue. Thank you to everyone for the congratulations on our baby news. It’s become a normal occurrence on trips out to have an advertiser, contributor or reader rub my growing bump! I’ve always said what a friendly community we live in. Did you ever wonder who the successful Apprentice position went to? Well to find out more about our lovely Nicole Williams, turn to page 12. Nicole has been with us nearly 6 months and has become an integral part of the team and from what I can gather, she enjoys the many varied tasks. Only last week we got to eat out at the new vegetarian café in Hay,The Old Electric Shop. She did question at one point if that counts as ‘work’! Turn to page 15 to hear more. Don’t forget that this month sees the deadline for entries to our Annual Photographic Competition. We’ve had some super duper images sent in but we want more. If you’re a keen photographer with a passion for our local surroundings, please do send in your photographs by midnight on 16th March. Our judges will then be faced with the task of picking the winner and selecting twelve images to make up our 2016 Calendar. Please see page 31 for more details. Car Boot season is nearly upon us. Please spread the word to family and friends of the new venue, new time and that with an under cover option, even the rain won’t put us off. News from Talgarth by Cllr. William Powell Powys County Councillor for Talgarth As I prepare to sign off this month’sWye Local column, Powys County Council has just confirmed its budget for 2015/16 together with a council tax rise of some 4%. During the past three years, the County Council has been forced to make budgetary savings of some £40,000,000 reflecting the extremely difficult fiscal climate both in Westminster and Cardiff Bay. Clearly, the Welsh Local Government settlement will prove challenging again this year for service delivery the length and breadth of our County. The fact that Welsh Liberal Democrat influence helped persuade Public Services Minister Leighton Andrews AM to provide a financial ‘floor’ for Powys and two other local authorities, has served to provide us locally with some £2,200,000 additional funding. Powys County Council deserves to be commended for undertaking such a full consultation on budget priorities, both in community meetings and online. In the intensely harsh financial climate in which we live, it is more important than ever that we prioritise the vulnerable. In this context, I continue to deal with a significant volume of casework on adult social care. I have also led calls for Powys County Council to maintain protection for the annual Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) grant provided by the Welsh Government. Cllr Barry Thomas, Leader of Powys County Council, has given me a guarantee that this ‘ring fenced’ funding will be maintained, on a voluntary basis, for 2015/16, now that the Welsh Government has removed the ‘ring fence.’ Recently my Assembly Office became aware of a case in Mid and West Wales where a local authority was seeking to recover a substantial sum of more than £7,000 from a senior citizen, who had apparently been wrongly encouraged to apply for housing and council tax benefit some years previously. Thanks to the vigilance of a supportive neighbour and family members, I was able to intervene and have this unreasonable request withdrawn. If any local residents receive such a demand, following a spot
check or internal audit, I would urge them to get in touch with me, in case I can be of assistance. The sight of early lambs in the fields around Talgarth – with warm sunshine on their backs today – reminds us that quality livestock farming is the backbone of this area. It also serves to raise our spirits and turn our thoughts towards Spring. This year, in addition to the well established Harley Davidson Festival, we have the Talgarth Walking Festival to look forward to once again. Last week it was my pleasure to join the Rev Fr Richard Walker in accepting a Question Time invitation from the ladies of Talgarth Women’s Institute. It was a very enjoyable and relaxed occasion – and I am delighted to see our local WI is in such good heart exactly 100 years after the UK’s largest volunteer movement for women was first established in Llanfair PG, Anglesey back in 1915. And staying with the theme of volunteering, I have recently learnt that Talgarth Mill’s stalwart Sunday visitor guide, Arwyn Evans, is shortly to leave to pursue an academic research project. News from Glasbury Ward by Chris Davies Powys County Councillor for Glasbury This month has been busy with meetings, many of which revolved around budgets and cuts. With Powys CC having received the lowest settlement from the Cardiff Bay Assembly for the eighth successive year we are once again facing severe cuts to our services and provisions in the county. The Budget for the authority for 2015/16 was approved at a recent meeting, where I had no alternative but to vote against the cabinet’s proposals. A higher council tax for fewer services is not something I felt I could support. I have also been very alarmed at the recent announcement that a review of Secondary Schools is underway in the county. This could lead to a ‘number’ of schools and possibly associated community leisure services closing, which would have a massive effect on our communities. The ‘one size fits all culture’ that comes out of the Assembly consistently fails to recognise the rurality of a constituency such as
Brecon & Radnorshire. We therefore have a fight on our hands! The Welsh Assembly has again penalised the rural areas when it came to removing the funding for our YFC’ organisation in Wales. The Labour budget, supported by the Lib Dems, did not just reduce the grant, but completely removed this support which will have a major effect on this tremendous rural youth movement which does so much for our rural communities. HELLEBORUS Hellebores are greatly underrated perennial plants, some of which are evergreen, with showy flowers in the winter and early spring before most of the other perennials have even come into growth. Perhaps the best known of the hellebores is Helleborus niger, better known as the ‘Christmas Rose’. These are evergreen with divided, deep green leaves and nodding white flowers with golden stamens. As the name suggest they can be in flower for Christmas but in most years the flowers last well into the New Year. By March the later flowering Helleborus x hybridus or ‘Lenten Rose’ will be taking centre stage with their cup-shaped, white, pink or purple flowers many of which have attractive, spotted patterns on the inside of the petals. Other Hellebores such as H. corsicus and H. foetidus have divided, spiny, dark green leaves and pale green flowers carried in large clusters in late winter and early spring. Hellebores in general prefer semi-shade and a moisture retentive soil and are therefore ideal for edge of woodland or around the base of shrubs. As flower buds develop in the winter, old, blackened leaves need to be removed to allow the flowers to be seen at their best. Just remember though that all parts of the plant may cause severe discomfort if ingested and that the sap may irritate skin. However don’t let this put you off as every garden should have a place for at least one variety of the hard-working Hellebore.

Do you get ratty when you go without food for long? Do you crave sugar or starchy carbs (chocolate, potatoes)? Want out?! With all the media coverage yesterday, as I type, from the report in the BMJ which declared saturated fats are not the enemy they were reported to be back in 1983, (hooray – about time!); we need to address the biggest issue of all: We eat WAY too many carbs! (there is another side to this but I’d give out pertinent solutions individually as it needs proper discussion I can’t fit in here). Reducing them is a great start however. The truth is, we are all solar powered! Energy in food comes from the sun. We eat plants grown under the sun, breaking the carbs down from them, into glucose, which releases the sun’s energy contained within it. Almost all of our energy derives from glucose (sugar). This is the main fuel of the body and what you eat determines the quality, quantity and availability of glucose to all your body’s cells including your brain. But a mars bar is not the same as Kale! Maintaining even blood sugar is vital for good and consistent
energy levels, mood and overall health. One of the key ways to control your blood sugar level is to watch what you eat, especially carb quantity and quality! You need far less than you think. Not all are bad: carbs are broken down into sugar which is released into the bloodstream to provide the entire body with fuel. The speed at which this sugar enters the bloodstream affects our energy, mood, weight, ability to deal with stress, long term health and more. Some carbs are fast releasing, raising blood sugar quickly while others are slow releasing. Think of fast releasing carbs as rocket fuel, they give you a short, sharp burst energy followed by a rapid burn out. Slow releasing carbs, best found in veggies, give out a consistent energy level and eating these are a vital part of the energy equation, hence why they are such a big part of any client’s plan we put together. Curry & Quiz Night in aid of Garden Re-Leaf This month the Old Railway Line Garden Centre is hosting a Charity Quiz and Curry Night as part of the national Garden Re-Leaf Day. Garden Centre owner Mark said “On Friday 27th March we will be hosting a Charity Quiz and Curry Night in our Railway Restaurant from 6.30pm. The evening is in aid of Greenfingers, which creates gardens at children’s hospices across the UK. Greenfingers is a fantastic charity which we enjoy supporting every year. “Teams of up to six people can enter and tickets cost just £10 per person including quiz entry and a choice of delicious homemade curries. Don’t worry if you don’t like curry; there will be an alternative option! REVIEW
The Old Electric Shop Last month Lisa Marie and I were fortunate enough to be able to sample the delights of The Old Electric Shop which is the new vegetarian Café on Broad Street, Hay-on-Wye. We went along on a Wednesday lunchtime. The shop was dotted with people, familiar faces creating a rather local social feel, and a selection of visitors who added to the atmosphere. During our visit there were people coming in and out, some to enjoy the food and some for the shopping experience. On arrival Lucy allowed us to choose where we sat, and all of the areas had vintage and rustic furniture on which to sit. We chose the area at the front of the shop, next to the window which looks out towards the Town Clock, a relaxing spot to watch passers by. Lucy informed us that everything in the shop is for sale, even the seats we were sitting on! They have created a superb new kitchen area within the vast shop - an open kitchen where you can see the very talented Gwen at work. At the counter you can witness all the preparation, right through to the service of the food itself. The chalk board menu was clearly laid out with a good variety of dishes on offer. As we were here to tell you, our readers, of our findings, we asked for small portions of a number of dishes. We also opted for a bottle of the Weobley Ash Apple Juice to share, locally made of course. All food is vegetarian, with gluten free and vegan dishes available. All of the ingredients are locally sourced and are made on site. Gwen, who creates and cooks all of the inventive dishes, is herself a vegan so she can add that personal touch. The choices on the specials board would satisfy most people’s appetites, vegetarian or not. Lisa Marie and I started off with the Thai Green Vegetable Curry Soup, it was absolutely delicious, looked amazing and with the many interesting tastes we debated amongst ourselves, what were Gwen’s secret ingredients? We then had a small portion of the Pizza, topped with Aubergine, Tomato, Artichoke Hearts and Feta, served with a grated Beetroot and Carrot side dish
and a mixed leaf Salad. We then sampled the Burger which was a combination of Butter bean, Another example of a Soup of Carrot and Sunflower, the day favourite served inside a warm Ciabatta with Chutney. Both these dishes were beautifully presented, attractive to the eye and just delicious. We ladies highly recommend. The desserts were displayed in a glass cabinet. I decided on a Brioche muffin- very light and sweet tasting. Lisa Marie chose the Chocolate and Orange muffin, which I ‘obviously’ had to taste. A moist texture with soft pieces of Chocolate and Orange. Superb ... The ‘Specials’ change continuously, and are always seasonal. The café welcome families and is suitable for all age ranges. Unique features for the little ones are bowls of vintage toy cars to play with and milk served in small old style milk bottles. Dishes such as ‘beans on toast’ were mentioned, simple ingredients, and what children enjoy! All the food and drink is very reasonably priced. What better way to burn off lunch then a bit of retail therapy in the many different sections of the shop. Hannah Burson, founder and owner of The Old Electric Shop, sells furniture, lighting and interesting homewares. Toria Whitfield of Field and Found, runs her design studio within the shop, making artisan workwear and accessories. Barnabee’s Books sell vintage classic Penguin and Ladybird books. Katie Tyler Upholstery has a great range of unique pieces of furniture and textiles. Lucy Jardine selling designer clothes. Jo Hodges of Hay Does Vintage sells cool American style vintage pieces. There is gallery space available for a two-month time period. Finally, Llynfi Textiles are a mother and daughter team creating beautiful, simple clothing from Welsh wool. We could have spent all our wages! Future plans for the shop are to extend its opening hours and to expand as a brand. So keep an eye out for the unique Old Electric Shop. Nicole Williams

The Thoughts of a Greengrocer Coming into March the worst of the winter is behind us and we can look forward to spring and all the new growth. Here in the early part of February I have already seen plenty overnight lights in lambing sheds and it makes me glad for a couple of months that I only have to go out once a week in the middle of the night (Kieran does the other trip to Birmingham). The farmers will have to feed the lambs well this year to have spring lamb on the Easter table. With Easter being earlier this year it may be that planting the potatoes on Good Friday may be ignored as a rule and left until later in the month. The fine clear and warm weather in February has worried me a little as it has reminded me of that year when we had a wonderful very early start to spring and all the blossom came out only to hit a colder spell and have no insects to pollinate it. That year there were no greengages, few damsons and a shortage of apples.

I can report that this morning in Bristol Wholesale the prices haven’t changed much at all. Forced rhubarb is still Dutch and very dear, courgettes have come back into the market after an absence of a couple of weeks but the price is still too high. The other very pricy things are cauliflowers - it’s now almost a month since they virtually doubled in price and no sign of a let up. An unusual fruit seen recently was a blood orange crossed with a navel orange - it was a bigger fruit with a fine flavour but little colour, sometimes I feel it is just not necessary to mess around with nature. Now is the time to start looking in the usual places for Ramsons otherwise known as wild garlic. the flavour is beautiful and makes the little bit of effort well worthwhile (the walk is good for you as well). A final note in view of the latest furore about the positioning of daffodil bulbs and flowers in shops firstly there are no bulbs about at this time of year having all been planted and are virtually in flower, and secondly I remember an old friend who used to walk through the garden eating the flowers which he said had a slightly pepperish flavour. Protecting wildlife for the future Moschatel is easily overlooked but unmistakeable in flower as the green flowers are arranged as if on the faces of a cube – rather like a town-hall clock with four faces on each wall of the tower. But not many town-hall clocks have a face on the top as well!
We all know that snowdrops and daffodils can start to appear near the turn of the year but March is the time for another flush of woodland plants that get into flower before the bluebells and anemones that delight us later in the spring. Pwll-y-Wrach Nature Reserve is the Trust’s most popular. This is a great place to enjoy Early Dogviolet, Moschatel (also known as Town-hall Clock) and carpets of Golden-saxifrage.
The Golden-saxifrage pictured is the more rare species which is dotted around Pwll yr Wrach in small clumps. The carpets are of the commoner, opposite-leaved species. Last week Erwood Community Council took delivery of a defibrillator, thanks to generous support from British Heart Foundation and local fundraisers. Cllr Mrs Anne Nicholls welcomed everyone to the well attended meeting and introduced Mr Carl Powell, Clinical Support Officer for The Wales Ambulance Service, who was there to hand over the machine.

Cllr Mrs Elizabeth Williams reported on events leading to this purchase – a successful grant application to B H F, a very generous contribution from Mrs Ann Rees when she requested donations rather than presents at her birthday party, the proceeds of the Harvest Auction organised by Mrs Margaret Evans and fellow Moriah Chapel members. Donations from the dog section at Erwood Village Show also helped to swell the funds. Mr Carl Powell demonstrated to the appreciative audience how the defibrillator should be used in an emergency. He said he had delivered 15 machines this week to Friends of Healthcare in Builth and District for distribution to the various communities. He was thanked by Chairperson Cllr Anne Nicholls for his very informative and useful talk, but hopefully it will never need to be used! The defibrillator will be fixed on the outside wall of Erwood Market Hall in a very conspicuous location. Signs will be erected so that all road users will be

Lottery Bid Success for Talgarth Information & Resource Centre
As a result of applying for funding from the National Lottery through the Big Lottery Fund the Centre has been able to install new computers in its Telecentre. Once some of the volunteers have completed their training it is proposed to go out into Talgarth and the surrounding area to demonstrate some basic skills in the safe use of the internet for online shopping, banking and social media. It is hoped that these skills will be useful in a time of reduced services such as access to banking, reduced bus services and, as is common in a rural area such as ours, family living further afield. The internet can also be invaluable for looking for work and can also be a means of updating skills to improve a CV. The Resource Centre has always provided access to computers and Wifi with the continuing advances in computers and Programmes the Centre’s equipment was becoming outdated. Happily, the Centre is now in a position to offer the latest in computing in addition to the other office resources available such as the printer, laminator and so forth. The computer room itself will also be available to be booked for meetings and is now equipped with
a projector for presentations. The official opening date and sessions will be advertised soon for training in basic skills on desktop PCs, laptops and other portable media. Offsetting the good news about re-equipping the Centre, is the sad news of the loss of two of its volunteers. Peter Emerson, a long serving member of the team passed away in January and will be sadly missed. Pam East who was one of the early volunteer recruits alongside her husband Mike, also passed away in January after a long illness. Husband Mike continues to volunteer at the Centre. With exciting new projects in view it is hoped that new volunteers will come to join our friendly team to help us provide an essential service to local residents and visitors. A Brass Plaque is Forever! On the A438 between Hereford and Brecon, our very own local historic monument, Whitney Bridge, has once again hit our TV screens when it was featured in the popular BBC 2 TV series, Antique Map of Britain with Tim Wonnacott, recently. Maggie Taylor and husband Grahame Penny moved in to the riverside Toll Cottage in Whitney-on-Wye three years ago when they purchased the attached 18th Century Whitney Toll Bridge and have been working ever since to bring the bridge and toll cottage back to their former glory. “We see ourselves more as custodians of this historic monument rather that the owners.” Said Maggie. “The 80p daily charge to cross only just about covers the cost of maintaining this historic monument so any profit that we make from the brass plaques will go into funding of ongoing maintenance of the bridge and further improvement of the facilities.” “To celebrate the bridge’s 240th birthday we have launched our Brass Plaque Scheme with a limited edition of 240 plaques.” said Maggie. “A brass plaque is a lovely way to mark a special occasion and will become a lasting memory of the event. A plaque can be for many reasons - to remember a loved one, for births, christenings, engagements, marriages, anniversaries or just simply to say ‘I love you’. National Tourism Awards Finalists The Bakers’ Table at Talgarth Mill are through to the finals of the National Tourism Awards for the second time. News from...... Black Mountains Lions Once again the Black Mountains Lions Annual Schools Quiz was a huge success. A team of 4 from each of the local junior Schools took part. Clyro, Clifford, Llyswen, Bronllys, Hay-on-Wye, Talgarth and Llangorse. Quiz questions covered a wide variety of subjects, some of which even had the staff thinking! The winning team from Clyro now hold the trophy until next year, and each member of the team received a £20 book token, with a £300 cheque for the school. Well done Aleks Sheppard, Ellie Platt, Joseph Cooley and Eli Williams-Sweet 2nd was Clifford with each team member winning a £10 book Token, with £200 for the school, and 3rd was Llyswen with £10 book token each and £100 for the school. For taking part all the remaining team members were given £10 book tokens.
Congratulations to everyone taking part and thanks to their staff for supporting them. Our thanks also go to Gwernyfed school for hosting the event. We are all looking forward to next year! Bronllys Hospital & Community League of Friends Possibly last year was the year we had the most to celebrate. First and foremost was the news at the end of last year that the Haygarth Surgeries had the contract to run Llewelyn Ward as from January 1st this year. It had proved impossible to replace Dr Dunn as there were no applicants. This does mean our hospital ward is now secured, after years of fighting to keep it open. It seems to be working very well, with the

GP’s fulfilling a full time roll. We, at last, have a truly Community Hospital for our communities. Keeping our hospital open has been a joint effort with Community Councils and so many of the public. You supported our meetings and joined campaigns endlessly. Thank You All So Much - Nothing Would Have Been Achieved Without You All! To add to that, the donations we received last year were the most we have ever had. We were able to spend over £12000 on the ward and our latest purchase was an ECG machine for £6000 which has just arrived. On top of that we spent over another £7000 on the Physio Department, Day Hospital, Mental Health and the Pain Clinic. Bryngwyn RDA The winter months have been busy for the team at Bryngwyn Riding for the Disabled Group despite the cold weather. A number of volunteers have spent time undertaking carriage driving training ready for driving to start, hopefully in May. The carriage has been purchased and the team is working well together. This will enable the Group to offer a service to people who cannot sit on a horse for whatever reason, but would still like to be involved with horses and have a unique view of the amazing countryside around Bryngwyn. The Thursday sessions have continued to run through December and January-these sessions are now taking children from a local school and adults from around the locality.The Saturday riders started back on the 7th February-the riders were delighted to be back in the saddle and have remembered everything they learnt last year. This year we would like to take a team of riders to the regional RDA competitions and we are starting endurance riding too. The starting distance for endurance is 1km, which we do most weeks in our rides onto the hill and around the school, but we will be getting ready for longer rides on the hills and

be practicing ‘sloshing’ the ponies once it gets warmer. Riders will also be completing their level 1 proficiency tests and will be starting to use the Endeavour Award that RDA National has developed. Sounds like it is going to be a busy Spring and Summer. The Group has a number of fundraising activities organised. This includes the Open Day that will take place in June at Bryngwyn; we are already planning the demonstrations and booking people to give displays. The charity shop will be running again in Llandrindod Wells, please save good quality brica-brac, books and toys for us to sell. Last year we raised over £2,000 which was amazing. We will also be having a presence in Hay around Festival week, look out for the appearance of Joey the Shetland pony, adored by big and small people at Bryngwyn. The Group always needs new volunteers to come and help at riding sessions and support fundraising activities. You do not need previous experience of working with horses or children, just a willingness to learn and be part of an enthusiastic team. Whatever your interests and experience we can find a role to suit you. All volunteers need to fill in an application form and complete training sessions and a DBS check.

The two weeks when Fairtrade Hay, and community groups across the country, work hard to persuade YOU to choose Fairtrade and help to change the lives of farmers and workers. We’ve got plenty of activities planned, so do come along to meet us and find out more about the importance of choosing Fairtrade in your weekly shop. On Thursday 26th February the Fairtrade tea ladies will be at Hay market giving away free cups of Fairtrade tea. On Saturday 28th February and Sunday 1st March a Fairtrade cafe will be running at the Parish Hall as part of the Festival of British Cinema. 11am-8pm on both days. On Monday 2nd March (evening) we’ll be holding a talk at Tomatitos with a sugar farmer all the way from Malawi! On Sunday 8th March Fairtrade refreshments will be available on the Hay to Timbuktu Trail walk. Talk to us at any of these events to find out more about the farmers who have benefited from Fairtrade. Take Fyson Tchale from Malawi, for example. Fyson, a 79 year old farmer, joined a cooperative eleven years ago and now sells his tea on Fairtrade terms. The benefits for him include being able to drink safe water, his grandchildren attending a modern school with decent furniture, and the opportunity to buy maize at a discounted price. All of this is funded by the Fairtrade Premium. At the moment, only 9% of tea bags sold in the UK are Fairtrade – can you help increase that percentage by choosing Fairtrade tea next time you shop? appreciated. Our AGM was held last month. Judith Wilkinson our chairperson opened the proceedings, with a welcoming message and wishing everyone a Happy New Year. Then Judith passed to Gloria Gray our treasurer/secretary to report on finances and activities over the past year 2014. A healthy balance was reported to carry us into 2015. Accompanied by detailed paperwork for all to see. The Committee reported that they were all happy to continue for another year if members were in agreement. There was no objection. Congratulations to all our prize winners! Hay Town Council Every year Hay Town Council has to review and make decisions regarding its annual budget. This budget is made up of income that comes from the small charge included in each household’s council tax bill issued by Powys County Council. The charge is known as the ‘precept’ and is the amount that comes across to Hay Town council
in order for them to fulfill their obligations to the residents of Hay. There are several council projects underway this year; one of the most challenging being the transfer of assets from Powys County Council to the town. Although Powys will contribute some money , the town council will have to juggle this relatively small budget in order to, at least, maintain the services. Set up and maintenance costs need to be covered, such as a refurbishment of the public toilets, insurance, and meeting statutory health and safety obligations for the sports facilities. To meet these costs, the possibilities for fund raising, cost saving and even a potential loan from Powys Council were considered. A comparison against similar size local councils within Powys showed that in the majority of cases the Hay precept is a lot lower than the majority of these and will remain so, even after taking into account the increase. After much discussion it was agreed that although it certainly wasn’t the preferred option, the council had no choice but to increase the precept. This would amount to an additional £8 per year per household (on a house in Council tax Band D) but

Meal planning - quite a revelation! One of our Love Food Hate Waste tips to reduce food waste and save money is to meal plan! Now I have to be honest, meal planning is something that I’ve never been too good at. I’ve always written a shopping list, and always used what I have at home to cobble something together for dinner each night. But, the weekend before last something changed for me! Every Saturday I go to my local town to buy my fruit and veg from the market, but on that Saturday I was busy and didn’t really have time to go. I knew I still had some veg in the fridge from the weekend before but wasn’t sure if it was enough to last the week. So, I decided to write a meal plan and have a think about whether it would actually be enough for the week, whether we’d be home every night for dinner and what our plans were for the week. It was quite a revelation! I realised that actually you can’t eat that much food between two people for five weekday nights and I really didn’t need to make
a dash into town to buy more veg.
On Sunday my mum kindly invited us for a roast. Monday night I was home alone so I made a dhal from lentils, spices, onion and garlic that I already had, threw in a few mushrooms that needed using up and served it with some rice from the storecupboard, it was delicious, and what was even better was that there was enough left to keep me going for lunches on Tuesday and Wednesday served with bread. On Tuesday we had sausages and mash with veg from the fridge and C Boy took the leftover sausage and gravy for his lunch the next day with some bread. On Wednesday we had risotto made with leeks, mushrooms and 3 rashers of bacon leftover from the weekend, I ate the leftovers for my lunch on Thursday.
