SAGE CREEK PARK TRAIL 2906 RYAN LANE
Sage Creek Park Trail is the perfect place for a leisurely nature walk. Located along the Sage Creek subdivision, stopping just north of the Parkside subdivision, the trail winds within the woods adjacent to Muddy Creek and leads into the Muddy Creek Reservoir. Reconnect with the sights and sounds of nature as you take a run, walk, or steady stroll on this .65-mile, 8-foot concrete trail. There’s even a small playground at the corner of Ryan Lane and Wooded Creek Avenue. The whole family will enjoy reconnecting with nature — and each other.
MUNICIPAL COMPLEX TRAIL
KREYMER ESTATES PARK TRAIL
Run, walk, bike, and hike this 12-foot-wide trail that includes 1 mile of the original Municipal Complex Trail and the connecting 2 miles of East Meadow Trail. This system meanders behind City Hall, Wylie Recreation Center, Smith Public Library, and the East Meadow, with an 8-foot-wide boardwalk connection to Creekhollow Estates. Relax and enjoy nature at several rest areas featuring benches and pet waste stations placed throughout the trail. Enjoy public art, “Entwine,” located at the trailhead near Country Club Road, and “Prairie Crossing,” located at the trailhead off West Brown Street. Parking is provided in the Municipal Complex parking lot as well as the Brown Street trailhead area.
Located in Kreymer Estates subdivision, this addition is home to Wylie’s first and only public outdoor fitness gym, a unique space that combines gym-like equipment strategically placed throughout the 2-mile-long trail. Enjoy a complete upper, lower, and core body workout as you discover the 12 pieces located at stations along the trail. These include an elliptical machine, pull up and dip combo, step balance and double hip twist combo, lower back trainer, torso bench, air strider, and hip swing combo pieces, complete with signage that guides you through the proper techniques and muscle groups they target. At the W. A. Allen crosswalk, the trail connects the addition to Kreymer East subdivision. Kreymer Estates’ 6.99 acres of park land include a playground, covered pavilion, park benches, and pet waste stations.
