Seda Hepsev, 24 Ocak – 23 Şubat 2013 tarihleri arasında x-ist’teki dördüncü kişisel sergisi ‘Disguise’ ile karşımıza çıkıyor. İngilizcede ‘kılık değiştirme ve aynı zamanda kimliğini gizleme’ anlamına gelen ‘disguise’; sünnet ve cinsel deneyim gibi rüştünü ispatlama, "adam olma" yolundaki duraklardan biri olan askerlik kurumunu, askeri kıyafet ve aksesuarları üzerinden sorgulamayı amaçlıyor.
Seda Hepsev will be on view at x-ist with her fourth solo exhibition ‘Disguise’ from January 24 to February 23, 2013. ‘Disguise’, which means ‘to change and conceal identity’ in English, aims to question the military service that is seen as a mandatory stop towards the destination of manhood, just like male circumcision and the very first sexual experience are.
