Due to it’s strategic location in the Chicago’s River Mouth between Navy Pier and Grant Park, this project has the intention of linking these two important icons of the city with a mixed use high rise building project, designed to fulfil the necessities of growing housing space necessities in this dense city. The idea behind the design is to accommodate housing with commerce in an integral way. Leaving the ground as the public space, being accesible for passing by pedestrians. On top of the commercial area rise two apartment towers linked by an amenities bridge, thought to be the social and integration space for the building residents.

Culture is definitely the most important treasure of a city; it defines the people and their traditions. The city of QuerÊtaro is full of historical culture; its center is a world heritage. But this rapidly growing city is lacks of a place where all types of cultural and artistic work can coexist and complement each other. For this exercise we were asked to develop a Performing Arts Center, starting from the search of the site. Located in an important entrance to the culture heart of the city we found a wide site that is full of literally NOTHING. Dumps, prostitution sites, and very poor quality housing is the content of it nowadays. Conveniently located next to the state’s biggest university and the river, the site claims an architectural

Professor Peter Sim [Farm architects] In a moment where virtual media has became the mayor source of information, the concept of the library has evolved from its former definition. The library is no longer a place uniquely for books. A part from that it has been transformed into a source of spaces that provide amenities for the society. The gardens library aims to be a place where people can take a break from the fast moving Singapore, a place to relax and interact with nature in diverse ways.
