Wafel met limoen hangop en gemarineerde aardbeien

Voor de wafel meng je 185 gr bloem, 12 gr gist, 75 gr suiker, 125 gr melk, citroenrasp en iets van vanille met een garde klontvrij. Roer 65 gr gesmolten boter erdoor en laat het beslag een half uur rusten onder een vochtige doek op kamer temperatuur. Bak de wafels 5 minuten voordat het gerecht word opgemaakt.

Meng de 500 gr hangop met 90 gr poedersuiker, de rasp en sap van 2 limoen en de in verwarmde limoncello (50 cc) opgeloste gelatine (6 gr), daarna de slagroom (350 gr) erdoor spatelen. Laat de massa opstijven in de koelkast.

Meng de in gelijke stukjes gesneden Lambada aardbeien (500 gr) een half uur tevoren met 50 gr geprakte frambozen, 20 gr suiker en 30 cc kersenlikeur.

Serveer er een bolletje vanille roomijs bij.

Favoriete plekken in Den Haag “Een van mijn favoriete restaurants is in de zomer “Lemongrass” voor een fruits de mer en een fles betaal- bare Chassagne Montrachet. In de winter laat ik me heerlijk verwennen in Restaurant-Hotel “Savelberg” met gegrilde tarbot en een Anjou duifje.”

Pikante kippenlevers (4 personen) bereidingstijd 15 minuten.

Bestrooi 600 gr kippenlevers, grof in stukjes gesneden, met peper en zout en bestuif het met bloem. Bak speklardons in 25-30 gram boter, grof gesnipperde ui, een gesnipperde paprika en gesneden champignons. Voeg, als de lardons uitgebakken zijn de kippenlevers erbij en roer dit steeds goed om. Voeg er tomatenketchup bij en geweekte rozijnen, blus het met een flinke scheut droge sherry en wat water, voeg cayennepeper toe en laat het geheel 5 minuten goed door koken. Proef het na, desnoods wat smaak toevoegen. Serveer het in een verwarmde schaal met rijst of stokbrood of een komkommersalade erbij. Heerlijk om deze zomer op je terrasje te eten!

Favoriete plekken in Den Haag “Bij voorkeur ga ik naar La Galleria voor de Lasagna waarvan het deeg heel lang in de oven heeft gestaan en dan in combinatie met een glas droge witte wijn maakt mijn avond compleet. Bij Seinpost kom ik ook graag en is het daar vol, dan ga ik naar Restaurant Spijs en dan bestel ik de kalfszwezerik, een echte aanrader!”

“Everything is bigger in China”

De Haagse museumwereld heeft zich komende zomer gebundeld in een uitdagend aanbod van hedendaagse Chinese kunst. Bas van Nooten, voorzitter van het directieoverleg van Haagse musea, maakt met de initiatiefnemers een rondgang door het programma van een bijzondere zomer.

KUNST IS VOOR IEDEREEN

KUNST IS SPECTACULAIR

Het is precies honderd jaar geleden dat de eerste Chinezen in Nederland kwamen werken en wonen. Dit is dan ook de aanleiding voor deze bijzondere en spontane samenwerking om gezamenlijk op verschillende mooie locaties in Den Haag Chinese kunst onder de aandacht te brengen. Kunstliefhebbers, (internationale) bezoekers en passanten kunnen ondermeer genieten van een cultuurevenement met de naam “Tian Xia” ofwel “Alles onder de Hemel” dat uitgaat van harmonie tussen hemel en aarde en de mens.

In Museum Beelden aan Zee is de eerste, in Nederland gemaakte overzichtstentoonstelling van de belangrijkste Chinese beeldhouwer Sui Jianguo te zien. De familiestenen en de bronzen beelden van Mao-jasjes die de leegte van de macht verbeelden worden afgewisseld met een aantal grote opgeblazen, oer-Hollandse objecten, bekend van de Delftsblauwe souvenirbordjes. Ook op de buitenterrassen van het museum is een tentoonstelling van grote figuren te zien die elk een verhaal vertellen.

KUNST IS BELEVEN

Wilt u nu al kennis maken de verfijnde kunst uit de Chinese geschiedenis. Dan kunt u terecht bij het Gemeentemuseum dat al van start is gegaan met een representatieve keuze uit de verzameling keizerlijk porselein van het Shanghai Museum en wordt hier in Den Haag tot 23 oktober 2011 tentoongesteld. Deze objecten zijn voor het eerst buiten China te bewonderen en illustreren de allerhoogste kwaliteit porselein van de verfijnde levensstijl waarin keizers zich eeuwenlang hebben gebaad. Er is ook een presentatie te zien van Chinees exportporselein uit de collectie van het Gemeentemuseum zelf.

Den Haag beleeft hiermee een bijzondere culturele zomer. The Hague Festivals sluit met haar programmering aan op de Chinese zomer evenals enkele galeries aan het Noordeinde. Een ontmoeting met de Chinese cultuur waard!

Van 6 juni tot begin september presenteren Den Haag Sculptuur en Museum Beelden aan Zee gezamenlijk en onder de regie van China kunstkenner en gastcurator Cees Hendrikse verrassende tentoonstellingen. Bij de openluchttentoonstelling op het Lange Voorhout worden spectaculaire, grootformaat sculpturen geëxposeerd van kunstenaars Yue Minjun, Zhang Huan en Sui Jianguo met ondermeer de sculptuur ‘de rode dinosaurus.’ Er is meer recent werk te bewonderen van Chinese kunstenaars op het Lange Voorhout bij Pulchri Studio, in de Weissenbruchzaal. Ook Nederlandse kunstenaars geven hier hun visie op China. Naast deze verrassende exposities met indrukwekkende kunstwerken zijn er in Pulchri Studio verschillende activiteiten omtrent China zoals een Tai Chi Workshop, een filmavond en een taxatiemiddag.

Chinese kunst en cultuur kunt u echt beleven. Er is zelfs werk te zien in het Atrium Stadhuis en de Kloosterkerk. Het Gemeentemuseum biedt daarnaast een unieke tentoonstelling over Chinees porselein.

It’s been precisely one hundred years since the first Chinese immigrants arrived to live and work in the Netherlands. This is the reason for this exceptional and spontaneous collaboration, which collectively brings Chinese art to the attention of the public at various great venues in The Hague. Art lovers, both local as well as international visitors and passers-by can enjoy, amongst others, a cultural event called “Tian Xia” or “Everything under the Heavens”, which is about the harmony between the universe, the earth and human beings.

The first retrospective of works by Sui Jianguo - the most prominent Chinese sculptor – to be put together in the Netherlands can be viewed at the Museum Beelden aan Zee. The family stones and the bronze Mao suits, representing the hollowness of power, are mixed with a number of enlarged ultra-Dutch items of Delft blue souvenir plate fame. The museum’s outdoor terraces also feature an exhibition of large sculptures which each tell their own story.

If you’d like to familiarise yourself with fine art from historic China, you can visit the Community Museum, which has already started working on a representative selection from the imperial porcelain collection, based in the Shanghai Museum and which will be on display here in The Hague until 23 October 2011. This is the first time that these items can be admired outside of China, and the exhibition exemplifies the supreme-quality porcelain that formed part of the refined lifestyles which the emperors enjoyed for centuries. There is also a presentation of export porcelain from the Community Museum’s collection.

As a result, The Hague will experience an extremely cultural summer. With its Chinese summer program, The Hague Festivals is joining forces with a number of galleries in the Noordeinde. It’s worth it if you want to get to know the Chinese culture!

From 6 June to the start of September, The Hague Sculptuur and Museum Beelden aan Zee jointly present an amazing exhibition under the direction of Cees Hendrikse, an expert on China and guest curator. Spectacular, large-scale sculptures by artists Yue Minjun, Zhang Huan and Sui Jianguo – including ‘the red dinosaur’ – form an open-air exhibit on the Lange Voorhout. More recent works by Chinese artists on the Lange Voorhout can be viewed in the Weissenbruchzaal at Pulchri Studio.

Here, Dutch artists also give their views on China. Besides these marvellous exhibits of magnificent artwork, Pulchri Studio also presents various China-themed activities, including a Tai Chi Workshop, a film evening and a valuation afternoon. You can truly experience Chinese art and culture. Works are even displayed in the Town hall Atrium and the Cloister Church. In addition, the Community Museum presents an exhibition of Chinese porcelain.

Den Haag - 4 september 2010. We zagen gigantische rijen voor onder andere het Mauritshuis, de Tweede Kamer, Museum Escher en de Gevangenpoort. In eerste instantie dachten we aan een invasie van busladingen toeristen. Bij nadere inspectie blijken het enorme groepen -met name jongeren- te zijn, die staan te dringen om de Haagse musea binnen te komen. Het is zaterdag 4 september 2010 en we beleven de eerste Museumnacht van Den Haag. Met 9.000 bezoekers een ongekend success voor een eerste editie. We spreken Matthijs de Groot, adviseur bij het Haagse communicatieadviesbureau Winkelman Van Hessen en mede-initiatiefnemer & organisator van de Museumnacht Den Haag.

De eerste editie van de Haagse Museumnacht was een enorm succes. Hoe komt dat volgens jou?

Allereerst omdat de musea een waanzinnig goede programmering hadden. Bij de Museumnacht gaat het namelijk niet alleen om openstelling van de musea in de nacht, maar ook om een extra en speciale programmering tijdens die avond; iets fantastisch om bezoekers de drempel van het museum over te trekken. En dat hebben de instellingen super gedaan: een literaire nachtclub, loungebarren, Waylon onder de Victory Boogie Woogie en zo kan ik nog wel even doorgaan.

Daarnaast hebben we ervoor gezorgd dat het vervoer en de hele logistieke organisatie tip top in orde was en dat er van tevoren via PR en social media veel aandacht was voor de Museumnacht. En last but not least… we hadden mazzel met het weer! Met vereende krachten en hulp van het weer was het een prachtnacht. We zijn zelfs uitgeroepen tot beste evenement van de Haagse Binnenstad van 2010.

Wat gaan jullie doen om het succes van vorig jaar te overtreffen?

Aan de formule van de Museumnacht gaan we niets veranderen. Dat was en is een succes. Daarnaast doen er dit jaar nog meer musea en culturele instellingen mee: maar liefst 30. Dit maakt het aanbod nog meer uitgebreid en divers. Dit jaar willen we kijken of we de Binnenstad er nog meer bij kunnen betrekken. Met onder andere de restaurants, hotels en de kroegen.

Bij deze dus ook een oproep aan alle ondernemers die spannende, creatieve ideeën hebben om de Museumnacht op 3 september 2011 nog leuker te maken.

OR PROFITABLE? ADR, it sounds like a vitamine pill but what is it really? ADR, Alternative Dispute Resolution is a way of solving conflicts without interference of a judge or court. Developed in the United States of America, mediation is the best known and most popular form of ADR. Why so?

Therefore the parties in conflict need a mediator who is qualified as such, ie a registered mediator. Quite some training is needed to become an adequate mediator. First of all a mediator will have to create the needed safe environment in which both parties feel free to express themselves, which means that he has to provide neutrality and has to explain the rules of the game and maintain these rules. This to guarantee a respectful, confidential process, in which he can help to contain and manage the conflict. Communication techniques and creative problem solving techniques are indispensable tools for a mediator. Identifying “deep pain” or “hot buttons” often helps to keep the process going. Re-framing a point of view often results to be very clarifying, thus helping reduce misunderstandings. Searching for and finding the real issues that concern parties, now and in the future, mostly helps to move through an impasse. From our practice, we can endorse that mediation is profitable indeed in many ways.

Collaborative Divorce Another way of alternative dispute resolution is collaborative divorce, which had successfully been used in the States in many divorce cases.

Gamba’slimoen met komkommer, en basilicum

Komkommer garnituren Snij de kontjes eraf en was de komkommer. Verdeel de komkommer in 4 gelijke stukken. Neem de pomparisienne boor en maak van 2 delen van de komkommer balletjes (10 per persoon). Steek diezelfde delen uit met de appelboor, en snij de kern in 4 kleinere stukjes. Bewaar de afsnijdsels want daar wordt later de dressing van gemaakt. Neem 2 stukken komkommer en haal deze over de mandoline, zodat je julienne van de schil hebt( niet teveel want alleen de schil is nodig). Steek diezelfde delen uit met de appelboor, en snij de kern in 4 kleinere stukjes. Om julienne te maken van het gewone vruchtvlees, neem je 2 stukken komkommer en schil je deze met de dunschiller. Haal deze nu over de mandoline, zodat je julienne van het vruchtvlees krijgt. Voor de komkommerdressing gebruik je de afsnijdsels en de schil van de vorige handelingen. Neem de sappers en zet hier 2 witte bakjes onder. Alleen het sap dat uit het 2e bakje komt wordt de basis (de pulp dus niet). Breng het op smaak met peper en zout, bind het af met een beetje xantana (koud bindmiddel) en een paar druppels olijfolie. Met een beetje witte wijn dressing marineer je de komkommer garnituren.

CHEESECAKE Ingrediënten • 50 g tarwebisquits • 75 g gesmolten boter • 600 g roomkaas • 150 g fijne kristalsuiker • 3 st. eieren • 3 st. eidooier • 1 ½ eetlepel citroensap en wat citroenrasp

Voor de bovenlaag • 150 ml zure room • 1 eetlepel fijne kristalsuiker

Bereiding Verkruimel de bisquits in de foodprocessor. Doe de boter erbij en meng goed.Druk dit mengsel met de achterkant van een lepel in de springvorm. Zet in de koelkast. Verwarm de oven voor op 180 ˚c.

Klop de roomkaas glad met de suiker en daarna de eieren en de vanille/citroensap mengen.

De buitenkant van de springvorm bekleden met aluminiumfolie zodat de bodem en de zijkant bedekt zijn. De roomkaas vulling in de springvorm gieten en in een warmwaterbad zetten en in 50 min. gaarbakken. Hierna de zure room met de suiker mengen op de cake gieten en nog 10 min. terug in de oven. Daarna uit het waterbad halen en in de vorm laten afkoelen tot kamertemperatuur, daarna pas in de koelkast.

De springvorm losmaken en de frambozen op de cake leggen.
