Dear Hillcrest Country Club Members, As an 87-year-old club, plenty has changed over the years. However, one thing has remained constant – our passion for building a strong community based upon family values. This foundation allows us to offer our members a country club experience known for excellence. Back in 2010, Hillcrest invited members to complete a club survey. From this we gained valuable feedback which highlighted our strengths, one of which is our youth swimming, golf and tennis teams, all of which had over 100 participants in 2015. This survey also caused us to reflect on our need to improve. Therefore, we implemented a Long-Range Planning Committee to ensure we have continuous, relevant improvements to our club. These upgrades are made possible by the Capital Improvement Program. Through this program we have been able to make many improvements over the past few years: we resurfaced the tennis courts, refurbished our Pro Shop, improved the A Street entrance, renovated our main lobby and bathrooms, updated Teencrest, and more. Looking forward, the Long-Range Planning Committee and the current board have selected a number of exciting projects to be completed over the next few months. These projects include: an expansion of the driving range and an addition of a short-game practice facility, a redesign of our restaurant, poolside and bar area, course updates that maintain the integrity of the William H. Tuckers design. This booklet highlights these projects as well as future plans. I want to thank the Long Range Planning committee, Hillcrest and East O Board of Directors, for their leadership as we strive to make Hillcrest Country Club the best family-focused club in Nebraska. And, most importantly, I would like to thank our members for their valued loyalty. Sincerely,
Andy Reetz General Manager

Conceptual artist renderings Restaurant And Bar Area Enjoying an afternoon by the pool is a popular pastime for our members. That’s why we’re excited to announce the opening of our restaurant and bar area to the pool deck. This will allow easier access to food and beverages, without sacrificing pool time. By having a more open floor plan on the east side of our building, we will make the poolside experience even better.

Welcome 2016! We’ve experienced some amazing golf weather up through the end of 2015, and yet spring golf is right around the corner! For the upcoming season, you can count on some of the tried and true events everyone has enjoyed over the years, but there will be some exciting changes to our golf programs as well. The Men’s Golf Committee will meet this month to review recommendations and innovative ideas. There will be new features to the Men’s League as well as the season long team event The Eliminator. Look for some changes to our Stag and Golf Breakfast events as well. Our Ladies Golf Association under the leadership of Jaime Waterfield is energized for the 2016 golf season. All of your favorite events are well into the planning stages. Junior golf will feature a new schedule of activities for Pee Wee Golf, Junior Academy Summer Program, and Hillcrest Hornets Team Golf. Junior Golf Coordinator Jerad Palmer will announce a complete schedule later this winter. Celebrity 2016 has found a new place on the calendar. The festivities will be held June 23rd - 24th - 25th. Members may sign up for this event at the Celebrity Lottery Party hosted by the Member-Guest Committee on February 19th The newly designed Hole #4 turned out wonderfully. This hole along with a “State of the Art” short game practice area and new concrete cart paths will be a fantastic improvement to our already beautiful course. We are very excited for these areas to open for member use and I am certain you will enjoy them. For those of you who enjoy riding while you play. Don’t forget about our annual cart lease program. If you plan to ride in 2016, this is a great economical value for you. For more details on our cart lease program, please see the ad in this addition on the Highlights. 2016 orders for the best golf equipment and apparel brands have been placed, and are due to arrive in our golf shop late winter/early spring. We offer nothing but the finest selection for our members, and are confident that our pricing is competitive. We will be able to provide customized fittings with the latest technology. Don’t hesitate to call the golf staff with any of your golf equipment needs. Looking forward to a terrific year!
