Shamal Terraces

SHAMAL TERRACES

Located in a highly respected urban precinct commonly known as the Jumeirah Village South Development, this project is comprised of various types of residential types, include townhouses, mid-rise buildings, and point towers. Extending across several development parcels, the buildings are notable for their simplicity and modernity, attracting the attention and broad interest across the development industry. Over 100 units of ground plus two level townhouses have been developed based on a planning strategy of terracing, and providing a series of Flex Unit layouts to improve quality, enhance privacy and create elevated roof gardens with adjacent patios.

Hilton Hotel Resort

HILTON HOTEL RESORT The Al Ain Hilton Hotel is conceived as an oasis in the desert. But rather than being traditional, or literal, we have interpreted the theme and are showing the essence of water: and it’s fundamental building blocks: its atomic composition. By reminding guests that H2O, also known as water, is the most precious resource in the desert, we invite any guests of the Al Ain Hilton Hotel to experience a simple care-free existence, which will cleanse the mind, body and soul and allows guests time to focus on what is essential in their lives. As it has done for thousands of years, water sustains life in the harsh environment of the desert.

RASHID VILLA OPTION 1 This villa was designed to satisfy the requirements of a young, dynamic and adventurous owner. The atmosphere of mystery, which starts from the hidden main entrance, merged with a touch of a modern aesthetic generated the form of the villa: a low building, with inclined walls forming a unique style. The villa consists of a basement for parking and services, a ground floor for most daily activities, and a first floor dedicated for a spacious family living with a roof garden extension. The requirement of Islamic privacy was satisfied by separating the day activities from the night activities in two different wings with separate entrances provided for the family and for the Majlis.

UM NAHAD VILLA

The fourth and final phase of the awardwinning River City development, Harris Square takes its name from the public square that it faces. Continuing River City's penchant for bold forms, the building is designed as a series of pentagonal plates circulating as they rise, reflecting the five sides of the site, and allowing for oversized balconies and terraces on many floors. Responding to its context, the building connects Lawren-Harris Square with Underpass Park by lifting itself up at the ground level, creating a relatively column free 6 metre high open space between the two public spaces and providing sunlight and views to the 155 units.

YAHYA VILLA

This private villa overlooking a Dubai suburb was already under construction when the client requested to change the style of the villa’s exterior. We started our design process started by the creation of a set of guidelines governing the organization of openings and use of materials. We used two interchanging colours of sand stone in horizontal strips interrupted by pieces of plaster framed in heavy timber to give the elevations a sense of play, and to break up the large volume of the building. We have added cloud-like wood canopies on the roof as floating shading elements for the roof terrace, and a set of feature arches to emphasize the various entrances to the villa.
