Un Français s’imposera-t-il en Formula Renault 3.5 Series ? Arthur Pic (AV Formula) et Norman Nato (DAMS) doivent gagner pour permettre à la France de rester la seule nation à avoir remporté au moins une course par saison depuis 2005.

Tout d’abord parce que c’était en France mais cela m’évitait aussi la pression avant l’ultime week-end de l’année. Cette victoire, c’était un sentiment fantastique, d’autant que je venais de remporter un troisième titre national en Clio Cup France. » “In 2011 I really wanted to win the title here at the Paul Ricard, first and foremost because it was in France but also because it meant I wouldn’t have the pressure of trying to seal the championship on the final weekend. It was a fantastic feeling to do it there, especially as I’d just won a third title in France.”

« Le Circuit Paul Ricard me rappelle de bons moments. En F4, j’y avais obtenu la double pole et les deux victoires en toute fin de saison 2011. L’année dernière, j’ai abandonné deux fois mais je vais tout donner pour briller à domicile. »

Pierre Gasly : « Le virage de l’hôtel est très technique, dont il faut sortir au mieux pour ne pas être débordé dans la ligne droite du Mistral.»

Pierre Gasly: "The hotel turn is very technical and you need to come out just right to make sure you don’t get outflanked on the Mistral straight."

Norman Nato : « Le virage du Beausset est très long, très technique où l’on peut facilement faire la différence ou perdre du temps. C’est selon moi le virage clé du circuit Paul Ricard. » Norman Nato: “Beausset corner is a very long and technical turn where you can either set yourself up for a fast lap or lose time. To my mind it’s the most important turn at the Paul Ricard."

ERIC TRÉMOULET (VIC'TEAM) « La courbe de Signes est sans aucun doute le virage le plus emblématique de ce tracé même si les nouvelles zones de dégagement enlèvent un peu d'adrénaline... J’y ai d’ailleurs connu une grosse frayeur, où à 200km/h, j'ai failli percuter un pilote en perdition au milieu de la piste ! » "The Signes curve is without a doubt the most astonishing turn of the track even though the new run-off areas are a bit less exciting...

There, I got scared once, when at 200 km/h, I almost crashed into a car in trouble at the middle of the track!"

n Le circuit de Jerez et Renault Sport Technologies ont conclu un accord pour organiser une manche des World Series by Renault en 2014. Il s’agira du cinquième tracé visité en Espagne. n 70 000 spectateurs étaient venus en 2012 pour l’événement Fast, Free et Fun organisé par Renault Sport Technologies. Avec une météo clémente, le record de l’année dernière pourrait bien être battu. n Le duel pour le titre en European Le Mans Series fait la part belle aux anciens des World Series by Renault.

Avec Nelson Panciatici et Pierre Ragues chez Signatech-Alpine, ainsi que Pierre Thiriet chez TDS Racing, 76 départs en World Series by Renault sont représentés.

UN PROGRAMME

A SUPERCHARGED

DÉJÀ GÂTÉ PAR LE SPECTACLE OFFERT PAR LES QUATRE DISCIPLINES DES WORLD SERIES BY RENAULT, LE PUBLIC DU CIRCUIT PAUL RICARD BÉNÉFICIERA D’UN PROGRAMME EXCEPTIONNEL QUI SÉDUIRA TOUTES LES GÉNÉRATIONS.

FANS FLOCKING TO THE CIRCUIT PAUL RICARD WILL HAVE MORE THAN JUST THE WORLD SERIES BY RENAULT’S FOUR CATEGORIES TO KEEP THEM ENTERTAINED, WITH AN EXCEPTIONAL PROGRAMME OF ADDITIONAL EVENTS.

Sur la piste, le Renault Classic Show, avec la légendaire Renault Maxi 5 Turbo pilotée par Jean Ragnotti, et le Renault Sport Show encadreront les courses tout le week-end. Autre spectacle attendu par les fans, David Coulthard prendra le volant lors de l’Infiniti Red Bull Racing F1 Show avant de rejoindre Charles Pic et Alain Prost au Village Renault. Il sera également possible d’admirer la monoplace du Lotus F1 Team ainsi que la toute nouvelle Spark-Renault SRT_01E, qui évoluera au sein du nouveau championnat FIA Formula E.

Taking to the circuit in between races will be the Renault Classic Show, featuring the legendary Renault Maxi 5 Turbo driven by Jean Ragnotti, and the Renault Sport Show. Racegoers will also be eager to see David Coulthard at the wheel in the Infiniti Red Bull Racing F1 Show before joining Charles Pic and Alain Prost at the Renault Village. Spectators will also have the chance to see the Lotus F1 Team car up close, as well as the all-new Spark-Renault SRT_01E, soon to appear in the FIA Formula E championship, which kicks off next year.

Au sein du Village Renault, les spectateurs pourront (re)découvrir l’histoire de Renault dans le Couloir du Temps, s’essayer au Pit Stop Challenge et aux nouveaux simulateurs Renault Clio Cup, ou encore admirer le Show BMX. Les plus petits pourront de leur côté s’amuser dans les structures gonflables.

There is a whole lot more to see and do at the Renault Village, including the Time Tunnel, where spectators can take a trip back through the history of Renault, the Pit Stop Challenge, the new Renault Clio Cup simulators and the BMX Show. There are also bouncy castles aplenty to keep little ones amused.

n Jerez racetrack and Renault Sport Technologies have signed an agreement that will see the Spanish circuit host a World Series by Renault meeting in 2014. Jerez will become the fifth track in Spain to stage a WSR weekend. n In 2012 a record 70,000 spectators turned up for the Fast, Free and Fun event organised by Renault Sport Technologies. With the weather set fair, that mark could well be beaten at the weekend. n The duel for the European Le Mans Series title will put the spotlight on a clutch of drivers with World Series

by Renault experience behind them.
