La situation se clarifie dans les trois disciplines des World Series by Renault, mais l’indécision est encore totale. Le public hongrois, qui se déplace toujours en masse sur les évènements 100% Renault, vibrera au rythme de courses palpitantes. Pour la première fois un de leur compatriote, Tamás Pál Kiss, sera aligné en Formula Renault 3.5 Series.

The Hungarian public, who always turn out in force for these allRenault events, are set for a weekend of thrilling racing. With Tamás Pál Kiss poised to become the first Hungarian to drive in the Formula Renault 3.5 Series, crowd excitement promises to be sky high.

Dans leur duel, Daniil Kvyat et Stoffel Vandoorne devront tenir compte de cette concurrence affûtée.

Nico Müller knows nearly all the secrets of the Hungaroring, even though he will be racing on the track for the first time in the Formula Renault 3.5 Series.

Here, the Swiss talks us through this technical, twisty circuit, where drivers can easily get stuck in a bad rhythm.

Le troisième secteur se compose de courbes lentes et étroites. Avec un changement de grip au milieu, le dernier virage est important. On a l’impression qu’il ne se finit jamais. Il faut absolument soigner la sortie et activer le DRS le plus tôt possible pour pouvoir porter une attaque au bout de la ligne droite des stands.

The third sector is made up of slow, narrow bends. The last bend is important. It feels as if it’s never going to end, and there’s a change of grip in the middle. You really have to take care on the exit of this final turn and activate DRS as soon as possible, so that you can launch an attack at the end of the pit straight.

Le deuxième secteur est le plus important. Le virage 4, très intéressant car on rentre fort sans visibilité, donne le rythme de toute cette partie. C’est un enchainement de chicanes lentes et rapides. Il faut brusquer la voiture et être très réactif. L’équilibre de l’auto est défini en fonction de ce secteur.

The second sector is the most important. Turn four, a very tricky one as it is fast and blind on entry, sets the tempo for the whole sequence. It is a series of slow and fast chicanes.

You have to push the car and be very responsive. The balance of the car is determined by this sector.

Au Hungaroring, il n’y a qu’une longue ligne droite avec un gros freinage : le premier virage est donc le meilleur endroit pour tenter un dépassement. On prend plus de risques que d’habitude au départ pour essayer de gagner des positions d’entrée de jeu. Le deuxième virage peut également surprendre car la voiture à tendance à être très instable ici.

At the Hungaroring, there’s only one long straight with heavy braking. So the first turn is the best place to try to overtake. You have to take more risks than usual at the start in order to gain some positions from the outset. The second turn can also catch you out, as the car tends to be very unstable there.

Une rentrée sous le signe de la F1 a taste of F1

Robin Frijns, Nick Yelloly, Marco Sorensen, Arthur Pic, Nico Müller et Stoffel Vandoorne ont arpenté le paddock du Grand Prix de Formule 1 de Monza à l’invitation de Renault F1 et de Renault Sport Technologies. Les six garçons ont échangé avec différents acteurs de la F1, dont Mark Webber, Christian Horner (Red Bull Racing) et Eric Boullier (Lotus). Une partie de l’effectif des pilotes de Formula Renault 3.5 Series a ensuite passé deux jours de stage au sein de Red Bull Racing, à Milton Keynes.

Pendant ce temps, Sam Bird et Jules Bianchi ont participé aux essais F1 réservés aux jeunes pilotes, à Magny Cours. Bird pour le compte de Mercedes AMG F1 Team, et Bianchi à la fois pour Ferrari et Sahara Force India.

Robin Frijns, Nick Yelloly, Marco Sorensen, Arthur Pic, Nico Müller and Stoffel Vandoorne all enjoyed the recent Formula 1 Italian Grand Prix from the paddock at Monza, at the invitation of Renault Sport F1 and Renault Sport Technologies.

The six youngsters interacted with various figures from the world of Formula One, such as Mark Webber, Christian Horner (Red Bull Racing) and Eric Boullier (Lotus).

Part of the FR 3.5 Series field then spent two days training with Red Bull Racing in Milton Keynes. Sam Bird and Jules Bianchi, meanwhile, took part in Formula One’s young driver test days at Magny-Cours.

Bird drove for Mercedes AMG F1 Team, while Bianchi represented both Ferrari and Sahara Force India.

Troisième de la Formula Renault 2.0 UK en 2010, Tamás avait fait vibrer le public cette année-là en participant à la manche hongroise de l’Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0. A bord d’une monoplace de BVM Target, le pilote de 21 ans devra dans un premier temps s’acclimater à sa nouvelle monture, mais face à un public acquis à sa cause, tout est possible.

For the first time, a Hungarian driver is to compete in a Formula Renault 3.5 Series race. Tamás Pál Kiss, from Miskolc in northern Hungary, will make his debut in the competition at the Hungaroring.

Tamás came third in the Formula Renault 2.0 UK in 2010, and thrilled his home crowd the same year in the Hungarian round of the Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0.

The 21-year-old will be driving for BVM Target, and his main aim will be to get to grips with his new car. But, with a partisan crowd behind him, anything is possible.

En s’imposant sur le Red Bull Ring, Alex Riberas a ouvert son compteur de victoires cette saison.

Formula Renault 2.0 drivers have been busy this summer, competing in both the NEC and Alps championships. Nyck de Vries recorded his first single-seat victory at Assen in early August, while Alex Riberas triumphed at the Red Bull Ring to secure his first win of the year.

En prenant place dans le baquet de la monture arborant les couleurs d’Ellip6, Marguerite Laffite défie les hommes de l’Eurocup Mégane Trophy. Margot effectue son retour dans une discipline où elle a évolué en 2009. La présentatrice TV, spécialiste d’automobile et de F1, n’a jamais caché son affection toute particulière pour Mégane Trophy.

Marguerite Laffite makes her return to the Eurocup Megane Trophy field in the car bearing the logo of Ellip6. Margot, a TV presenter who specialises in motorsport and F1 last competed in the competition in 2009 and has never hidden her special fondness for Megane Trophy.

LES SECRETS DE BAS SCHOTHORST BAS SCHOTHORST’S SECRETS Eurocup Mégane Trophy – TDS Racing Ma première course C’était en karting, en championnat junior des Pays-Bas. Je suis parti 26e et après un tour je pointais dans le top 5… seulement je ne savais pas qu’il y avait deux tours de formation ! J’ai débuté en automobile en 1999 en Formula Arcobaleno. A la fin de cette année, j’ai également participé à la Formula Renault 2.0 UK Winter Cup. Mon circuit préféré Sans aucun doute : Spa-Francorchamps.

C’est un souvenir fantastique d’avoir remporté les deux courses là-bas cette année. Mais le meilleur public, c’est incontestablement au Hungaroring.

La première chose que je fais en arrivant chez moi après une course Je relève mes emails, je prépare ma semaine, je me relaxe et je regarde du foot.

Mon pilote préféré En F1, ce sont Jenson Button et Michaël Schumacher Mon chanteur / groupe préféré J’aime un peu tous les styles de musique… donc j’allume la radio et ça me va bien.

Ma nourriture préféré La nourriture Thaïlandaise, Italienne et les Sushi.

My first driving experience I was seven and my dad took me karting. I was immediately

hooked and, several sessions later, I was given a kart for my ninth birthday. Then, when I was 11, I started racing competitively at junior level. I often went to circuits in those days, as my dad was a partner of a team in the Renault 5 GT Cup and later in the Renault Alpine V6 Cup, and my uncle, Jeroen, was starting his competitive career.

My first race It was in karting, in the Dutch junior championship. I started 26th, and after one lap I was in the top five – only I hadn’t realised that there were two formation laps! I made my car racing debut in 1999, in Formula Arcobaleno. At the end of that same year, I also took part in the Formula Renault 2.0 UK Winter Cup. My favourite circuit Without question, it’s Spa-Francorchamps.

I have fantastic memories of winning both races there this year. But the best crowd is undoubtedly at the Hungaroring.

The first thing I do when I get home from a race I check my emails, plan my week, relax and watch some football.

My favourite driver Jenson Button and Michael Schumacher.

My favourite singer or group I like a bit of everything when it comes to musical styles. So when I switch on the radio, I’m happy with whatever’s playing.

My favourite food Thai, Italian and sushi

Mon premier coup de volant J’avais 7 ans quand mon père m’a emmené faire du kart de location. Je suis immédiatement devenu fou de ça et après de nombreuses séances, on m’a offert un kart pour mes 9 ans. J’ai ensuite commencé la compétition à 11 ans, en junior. A cette période, je me rendais souvent sur des circuits car mon père était partenaire d’une équipe en Renault 5 GT Cup puis en Renault Alpine V6 Cup et mon oncle, Jeroen, débutait sa carrière en compétition.
