L’Europe du foot aura la tête en Ukraine pour la finale de l’Euro, mais l’Europe du sport automobile sera tournée vers l’Allemagne et le Nürburgring pour le troisième round des World Series by Renault.

Les quatre disciplines - Formula Renault 3.5 Series, Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0, Eurocup Mégane Trophy et Eurocup Clio - sont au rendez-vous pour le plus grand plaisir de tous.

While the footballing world will be devoting its attention to the final of UEFA’s EURO 2012 tournament next Sunday, European motorsport will have eyes only for the Nürburgring and round three of the World Series by Renault. It promises to be quite a weekend too, with races taking place in all four WSR events: Formula Renault 3.5 Series, Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0, Eurocup Megane Trophy and Eurocup Clio.

La troisième partie est encore une fois très rapide, mais c’est la vitesse de passage en courbe qu’il faut privilégier. Ici il faut vraiment pousser et passer très fort pour faire un temps.

The third section is also very fast, although speed through the turns is what counts here. You have to push very hard and really go for it if you want a good time.

La dernière chicane et le virage suivant sont très importants car ils conditionnent la ligne droite des stands et donc le premier virage, qui est le meilleur endroit pour dépasser ou se faire dépasser.

The last chicane and the turn that follows it are very important because they determine how you go into the pit straight and turn one, which is where you’ve got the best chance of overtaking and of being overtaken.

Le deuxième secteur est plus rapide. Le plus important est de soigner les sorties de virages car c’est assez vallonné. Il faut garder de la vitesse et cela va beaucoup dépendre du compromis de set-up. Il faut une voiture agile dans les virages lents et rapide en ligne droite.

The second sector is quicker, and the most important thing is to take care when exiting corners because there are a lot of undulations.

You have to keep your speed up and that’s going to depend a lot on your set-up. You need to have a car that’s responsive on slow corners and quick on the straight.

Le premier secteur est très serré. Il faut énormément casser sa vitesse. En trois virages, on sait déjà si on est dans un bon rythme ou pas.

The first sector is very tight indeed and you have to really push the gearbox to the limit. You can tell in the first three corners if you’ve got good speed or not.

Forte de 3000 membres et de 80 clubs, D’ARC présentera toutes ses activités.

Enfin, après Jean-Eric Vergne et Daniel Ricciardo, ce sera au tour de Sébastien Buemi d’effectuer le Red Bull Racing Renault F1 Show.

An unmistakable paddock landmark, the ever-popular Big Wheel will be one of the stars of the show at the World Series by Renault meeting at the Nürburgring. Equally unmissable is the Time Tunnel, while there will also be two fascinating information points for race-goers to visit: the DIKE tent, focusing on the Renault brand and road safety, and the D’ARCY stand. Comprising 3,000 members and 80 clubs in all, D’ARCY is the German Association of Alpine and Renault Clubs and will be showcasing all its activities over the course of the weekend. Finally, Sebastien Buemi will pick up where Jean-Eric Vergne and Daniel Ricciardo left off by taking to the track in the Red Bull Racing Renault Formula One Show.

UN NOUVEAU PILOTE EN FORMULA RENAULT 3.5 SERIES FORMULA RENAULT 3.5 SERIES WELCOMES A NEW DRIVER Suite à son accident à Spa-Francorchamps, Richie Stanaway, avec deux vertèbres fêlées, est indisponible pour au moins trois mois. Le Néo-Zélandais est remplacé par le Brésilien César Ramos, champion de F3 Italie 2010 puis onzième de la FR3.5 Series 2011 et troisième rookie : « C'est un plaisir d'être de retour en Formula Renault 3.5 Series dans une telle équipe. Je vais travailler dur afin de tirer partie de cette opportunité, mais avant tout je souhaite à Richie un prompt rétablissement. »

The out of action for three months after breaking two vertebrae in a crash at SpaFrancorchamps, New Zealander Richie Stanaway will have his place taken by Brazil’s Cesar Ramos, the 2010 F3 Italy champion. Ramos finished 11th overall in last year’s FR3.5 Series and was third among the rookies:“It's a pleasure to be back in Formula Renault 3.5 Series with such a great team. I'll work hard to make the most of this opportunity. Meanwhile I'd like to wish Richie a quick recovery.”

Tom Coronel, animateur du peloton en WTCC, rejoint l’Eurocup Mégane Trophy. Il sera aligné par l’équipe TDS Racing, sous les couleurs de McGregor.

Les pilotes de FR 2.0 ont préparé activement le rendez-vous allemand. Le week-end dernier, c'est sur le tracé du Nürburgring version DTM que les pilotes du NEC s’affrontaient. Stoffel Vandoorne a remporté les deux courses et s’empare de la tête du championnat.

The drivers in the FR 2.0 field have been busy preparing for the German leg of the WSR season.

The latest action in the NEC season took place on the DTM track at the Nürburgring. Stoffel Vandoorne was the big winner, claiming victory in both races, taking him to the top of the standings.

Les concurrents de l’Alps étaient à Spa-Francorchamps. Daniil Kvyat a remporté un nouveau succès et Oscar Tunjo s’est imposé pour la première fois en FR 2.0.

The contenders in this season’s Alps championship have been battling it out at SpaFrancorchamps, where Daniil Kvyat won again and Oscar Tunjo notched his maiden FR 2.0 win.

Cela faisait longtemps que je les saoulais avec ça et finalement ils ont craqué. C’était le début de l’aventure…

My first driving experience My parents took me go-karting at Silverstone for my eighth birthday. I’d been nagging them about it for ages and they finally gave in. That was where the story started...

Mon circuit préféré C’est difficile d’en choisir un. Spa-Francorchamps et le Nürburgring sont de supers tracés, mais je crois que celui que je retiens, car c’est le plus original, c’est Monaco. J’ai toujours rêvé de gagner là-bas. Ce n’est pas passé loin en GP2 en 2010 et maintenant c’est fait en FR3.5 Series. La prochaine étape est de gagner là-bas en F1.

My favourite circuit It’s hard to pick one. Spa-Francorchamps and the Nürburgring are fantastic tracks but the one that stands out for me, because it’s the most original, is Monaco. I’d always dreamed of winning there. I wasn’t that far away in GP2 in 2010 and now it’s happened in the FR3.5 Series.

The next step is to win there in Formula One.

La première chose que je fais en arrivant chez moi après une course En principe je rentre très tard, donc je dors. Puis comme je voyage beaucoup entre la FR 3.5 Series et la F1 avec Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 Team, je fais des choses moins fun comme ma lessive !

The first thing I do when I get home from a race I usually get back very late so I just go to bed. I do a lot of travelling between Formula Renault 3.5 Series and Formula One with the Mercedes AMG Petronas Formula One Team, so I do less fun things like do my laundry!

Mon pilote préféré Il est allemand, il a 43 ans, il est impressionnant et j’ai la chance de travailler avec lui ! Lorsque j’ai rencontré pour la première fois Michaël Schumacher, j’ai été très impressionné. Il s’avère que c’est un super mec.

My favourite driver He’s German, he’s 43, he’s amazing and I’m lucky enough to work with him. I was totally overawed when I met Michael Schumacher, but he’s turned out to be a great guy.

Mon chanteur / groupe préféré J’adore la musique et j’en écoute beaucoup, notamment pendant un week-end de course.

Pendulum et Skrillex sont mes deux groupes du moment. Ecouter Skrillex avant une qualif ou pendant un entrainement physique, ça donne vraiment de l’énergie...

My favourite singer/band I love music and I listen to a lot of it, especially on race weekends. Pendulum and Skrillex are my two favourite groups right now, and I get really pumped up when I listen to Skrillex before a qualifying session or when I’m working out.
