Beauty, brains and a positive attitude...
... towards life is one thing that a beauty queen should be composed of. Makoya takes this chance to talk to one of the finest craft of diamond from our Sunland. * Hello Una and thank you for your time to chart to us. Thanks guys and welcome to my world. * Tell us a bit about your modeling career and how did it all come about? I have been in the modelling world officially for three years now. I have a couple of titles under my name which include Miss Univen 2011 2nd princess, Miss international facebook may gal 2011, Miss summer heat SA finalist 2011, Miss Polokwane finalist 2011 and the recent one Miss Vhembe 2012 1st princess. Since I was a little girl I always loved glam and beauty and couldn’t miss Miss SA for anything and
that’s when I fell in love with the modelling world. * You came up second, was that a bit of a setback? Every modelling experience that I come across is always a learning curve and I also learn from my mistakes. Becoming 1st princess only means that I have done some things wrong that I’m going to do right in my journey. * Who inspires you in the cat walk business? I’d say Bonang Matheba, Joelle Khayembe and Tyra Banks. * What are your future plans in the cat walk world? I am looking forward to Miss Limpopo and Miss South Africa. In the near future I would like to see my self being a mentor to other your young girls who have dreams by starting my own modeling agency. I also would like to see myself in the advertising modelling world being” face of a brand” and making it big also internationally * What is the real definition of the word “beauty” in your own terms? Beauty is the positive side of an individual who have qualities of inner beauty, including kindness, sensitivity, tenderness, caring compassion, creativity and intelligence and being humble. * When you are not walking on ramp, what else do you do? I’m currently studying social sciences in social work doing my honours degree with the University of Venda. * What is your fashion tip for this winter? Colour blocking that includes your colorful blazers with your scarfs and leather materials and Acrylic fur are the in thing for winter. * Guys would like to know this one, are you seeing someone at the moment? “I’m a really private person, so I don’t divulge such information” * Thank you Una and we wish you all the best. Thank you...

** “DURBAN JULY” CAME TO VENDA, ALL THANKS TO CLLR! ** It was all systems go last weekend as it was going down at Mphephu resort during Cllr Rudzani Ludere’s celebration party. It hosted unlimited number of artists and dignitaries, the likes of Julius Malema and the elites of this world. There were so many artists in a way that some ended up not performing. The likes of Complexion, T Man Gavin’s of this world didn’t perform but the good thing is they were paid; it’s the name of t he business whether or not as artists if you are booked and you show up and not perform due to circumstances not from your side you get the moola. And Rudzani respected that, man of his words. You go Cllr!
