Two houses and car set alight Mr Thompson Nukeri (55) of Mphagani village outside Giyani and his family of seven have nowhere to sleep, after their eight-roomed house was burnt down last Tuesday night.

It is alleged that the angry mob had mobilised and burnt down the house, fol-

lowing the death of a 35-year-old man in the area. It is alleged that the deceased was killed by Mr Nukeri’s son.

Mr Thompson Nukeri (55) and his family are now living at a place of safety, fearing the mob. The family says they only left with clothes they are wearing since all

their belongings, including cell phones, school uniforms, household equipement and a vehicle, were set alight. The damage is estimated at about R800 000.

Nukeri alleges that his son, who is in his 30s, had fought with another local man over a girlfriend. He mentioned that the fight took place about two weeks ago.

The other man was injured during the incident, Nkuri said. The injured man was

admitted to the hospital, treated and later discharged, said Nukeri.

Last Monday, the 35-year-old man died unexpectedly at his home and the community insisted that the suspect, together with his family, should leave the area immediately.

One community member, who wanted to remain anonymous, said it was the village’s rule that if any member from a family commited a crime, the offender would not be accommodated anymore.

“It was around 20:00 when I heard the mob chanting at my gate. They did not allow me to explain, but they started to assault me. Fortunately, six family members who were in the house managed to escape from the angry mob. I could not believe it when

I found myself standing about 300 meters away, looking at my house that was already on fire. My car had also been set alight by then. I had to search for where my other family members were hiding,” said Nukeri.

Nukeri said he was a crime fighter in the village and he had taken his son to the police. WO Seth Magadzi of Giyani police confirmed the incident.

“Twelve people were arrested and charged with public violence, arson and malicious damage to property.

We urge the community to not take the law into their own hands. They should rather consult the police,” said Magadzi.

The arrested people will appear in the Giyani Magistrate’s Court soon.

More arrests are expected.

Vhembe’s truckers speak in one voice

Struggle veteran honoured by village

Tow truckers in Vhembe will speak with one voice from now on. This follows the launch of the Vhembe branch at the weekend.

A motorcade of tow trucks, stretching kilometers around Thohoyandou, which preceded the function, was a spectacle to watch. The organisation, Limpuma Towing Business Association, is comprised of members from Limpopo and Mpumalanga.

The launch, which saw many members from the two provinces come together to chart a way forward, took place at the Thidiiela’s Sasol Garage in Thohoyandou on Sunday.

The function had a slow start

In response, Thabo urged the youth to take their education seriously, saying it was the only weapon that could give them economic freedom. “There is still an acute shortage of the vital skills in the country, and I urge the youth to take opportunities open to them and study these fields,” he said.

He also urged the youth not to forget to respect each other and their elders.

Youth attend human rights workshop Young people from different municipalities of Vhembe celebrated Youth Human Rights Day in style last week.

The youths, from Thulamela, Makhado, Mutale and Musina, under the Vhembe District Youth Council, gathered at the Thohoyandou Town Hall on Saturday (17 March) for a special celebration. The youths first attended a workshop about their human rights by presenters from the South African Police Services, the Bosasa Youth Development Centre and Amnesty International South Africa.

In her presentation, Lt Tshililo Neluvhada from the Social Crime Prevention unit of the Thohoyandou SAPS stated that the youth frequently found them-

selves on the wrong side of the law by claiming to know their rights while infringing the rights of others.

Neluvhada said it was the right of any child to be given access to education, but many youths refuse to go to school, claiming that it was their right. “Children also have rights for good health, but others drink alcohol and when their parents challenge them, they say it is their right. They do that while forgetting that their parents are trying to help them to have a good future.”

Neluvhada also added that it was a crime for underage children to indulge in sexual activities. She said both children could be charged and arrested for having consensual sex. Mr Ronald

Mathebula from Bosasa said they dealt with children who were awaiting trial or those who had already been sentenced but were too young to serve their terms in a normal correctional facility like a prison. Mathebula’s colleague, Ndidzulafhi Ramugondo, said the youth should focus on the rights that could help them to have a better future, like fighting for education, rather than “protesting against ritual killings while abandoning your studies.”

Ramugondo also discouraged children from using a lack of finances as an excuse from furthering their studies. He said there were too many institutions, such as the government and nongovernment organisations, that offered bursaries.

He said level crossing accidents often resulted in death or serious injury. "Motorists should not break the law. Police lauds life sentence for rapist The Vuwani police have urged communities to assist them in taking care of children.

W/O Elijah Malatjie, spokesperson of the Vuwani police, was reacting after the sentencing of a local man to life imprisonment after he was found guilty of raping a nine-year-old girl.

It was testified that Mudau had requested the girl to come and cook vegetables for him at his place. On arrival at man's house, the girl was asked to clean the man's room. He then assaulted the girl with a belt and overpowered and raped her.

He also asked her to clean the yard and house on a second toccasion but ended up pulling her

into the house and raping her.

When her mother came back from Gauteng, she heard about the child's ordeal and reported the matter to the police.

Regarding the sentence, W/O Elijah Malatjie heaped praises on the justice system. “The sentence is very appropriate, and we hope it sends the right message out there that the abuse of childen will not be tolerated in this country. As police, we will go all out to protect children, but we also urge parents to take an active part in taking care of children,” he said.

Mphephu Traditional Council and Masana help mental patients

Principal in court on rape charge The 48-year-old primary school principal who was arrested after he had allegedly raped a 13-year-old girl appeared before the Vuwani Magistrate’s Court again last Tuesday.

The principal is facing charges of rape after he had allegedly raped the girl in the back of his car along the Vuwani-to-Masia road. The case was postponed to 30 April.

The alleged incident was only reported in January this year, after the girl’s mother had found out about her daughter’s so-called affair with the principal. She then opened a case with the police. According to the police, it is alleged that the principal had given the girl R60 after he had had sex with her.

When he recently appeared in court, he was released on bail of R10 000. The principal was also suspended with full pay from his duties, with effect from 1 March this year.

Meanwhile, the spokesperson for the department, Mr Pat Kgomo, said that “The principal could be dismissed from the teaching profession if the investigation confirms that he had had sex with the girl.”

Two houses mysteriously catch fire Residents of Majozi village in the Hlanganani area were left stunned, following the mysterious burning down of two houses of the same household in that village. This incident happened a fortnight ago.

According to Miss Annah Shivambu, she never smelled anything burning or heard any unfamiliar sound that could have alerted her to a fire. She said that she was inside the house when it started burning from the rooftop. “This is unbelievable. I still don’t understand how the houses caught fire. I was lying on the floor with my child in that very house and I did

not smell anything,” she said.

Shivambu said that if it were not for the whining of the child about being hungry it would have been too late to salvage any of the goods inside the house.

“I got irritated and decided to go out to the outside kitchen to get her food, so that I could lie down again. That was when I saw the flames on top of the roof. I then screamed for help,” said Shivambu.

Her husband, Mr Richard Vutsulu, said he was at the back of the house when he heard his wife screaming for help. He also said that he never smelled anything burning.

“We tried to save some of the things in the house. However, some of it burned while on the ground after we had takenit out, because the fire was uncontrollable. While we were busy trying to extinguish the fire, the other house also caught fire,” said Vutsulu.

Vutsulu said that they lost everything that was in the second house.

According to the Hlanganani Police’s communication officer, W/O Steven Makhubele, goods such as beds, wardrobes and some of the clothes were salvaged. He said that the damage amounted to about R30 000. He said that the investigations were continuing.

“The cause of the fire is unknown, but the community should be very selective of the people who connect electricity to their houses,” said Makhubele.

Committee elected for Makhado Ward 21 Ward 21 of the Makhado Municipality at last elected a Ward Committee on 20 March.

The ward, comprising Tshikota and Louis Trichardt west of the N1, attempted in vain to elect a committee in October last year.

The meeting in October was disrupted when the representatives from Tshikota had to be elected.

Ward 21 was taken from the ANC in the past election and is a Democratic Alliance ward run

by Cllr Brian du Plooy.

The following people were elected on the Ward 21 Committee: Aretha Smit, N E Rasilavhi, Martha Babadu (Louis Trichardt), Phillemon Maphari (Waterpoort), SS Mathidi (Padkamp), Azwi Ramalamula (Kavhambe) and a representative from Songozwi (traditional leader).

“During last Tuesday’s meeting, there was once again a disruption of the meeting when the three representatives from Tshikota had to be elected. The

meeting was disrupted by a certain group of people who did exactly the same at the October meeting,” Du Plooy said on 27 March.

Du Plooy said that the meeting was well attended by residents of Tshikota, but not as well attended by residents of Louis Trichardt.

The chairperson of the Soutpansberg Ratepayers Association, Ms Inga Gilfillan, expressed her disappointment that not enough of the association’s members turned up for the election.

“This is not good. We missed our second representative by a couple of votes,” Gilfillan said. The SRPA manager, Ms Smit, was elected on the Ward Committee. “In theory, a ward committee is the right thing.

But in practice, the residents get tired and overworked since they have to spend too many hours of their time on issues that are the responsibility of municipal officials and full-time councillors.

It is not fair that residents have to be confronted minute by minute with a lack of water or dirty water, poorly maintained roads, lack of electricity, sewerage spills, destruction in the graveyard, poor administration, tender corruption and poor management of projects. If officials are not able to fulfil their functions, let them step down and be replaced by skilled people who can get the job done,” Gilfillan said.

In a meeting with Wards 20 and 21 on 15 March, the mayor, Cllr Mavhungu Lerule, stressed the importance of the ward committees that work closely with the ward councillors to represent the interests of the ward. The ward councillor should bring issues to the office of the Speaker to capture it in the IDP where applicable. Du Plooy will announce at a later stage how the representation of Tshikota will be implemented.

Trophies for Tondalushaka’s best Two hardworking Grade 12 pupils at Tondalushaka Secondary School in Tshaulu outside Thohoyandou were all smiles when they received trophies for their efforts.

The two star pupils, Apfeswaho Raligidima and Rialivhuwa Kolani, obtained 75% and 82% respectively in mathematics and physical science in the first quarter. The awards were sponsored by a Thohoyandou-based company, Microlight Trading and Projetcs.

Mr Thomani Thabela, the director of the company, said his company was doing business with the school when they realised that there was a need to plough back into the school. “We thought of many things, but we ended up deciding on motivating pupils. They need to be encouraged to start early in preparing for their examinations,” he said.

He said they also invited the parents in order to encourage them to support their children even during the school holidays.

“We are very serious about development in our region. There cannot be any development without youths who are equipped academically; this is our humble contribution to the community.

We hope as we grow bigger we will be able to do more in our communities,” he said.

Mr Lazarus Netshikwati, principal of the school, said the trophies would be a big boost to the pupils. “We acknowledge initiatives such as these that aim to empower our pupils,” he said.

Too many drivers set off unprepared Every year, thousands of motorists across South Africa set off on long, often exhausting, journeys without adequate preparation of their vehicles or enough rest. Yet research has shown that badly maintained vehicles and fatigued drivers are two of the biggest causes of accidents over the festive season.

Many people still rush off straight from work to their holiday destination. In their rush to leave, they often skimp on checking and preparing their vehicles adequately for the journey. Not surprisingly, this is often reflected in problems experienced during the departure trip. Estimates suggest that fatigue is a factor in up to 30% of fatal crashes and 15% of serious-injury crashes.

“A safe, relaxed journey begins by having your vehicle – car, caravan or trailer – checked and well maintained before you depart,” says Lize Hayward, the Goodyear Group’s public relations manager.

Driving, whether it’s a journey of 500 kilometres or it involves a long trek of over 1000 kilometres, brings its own set of challenges: high volumes of traffic, long distances and the combination of dayand night-time driving can test a driver’s limits.

Research shows that many drivers still underestimate the effect of fatigue, drowsiness and decreasing alertness on their driving abilities.

“Driving to one’s holiday destination is not at all like the driving we do daily between home, work and social commitments. Going on a long motoring journey brings its own set of challenges that we

need to take into consideration,” says Hayward.

“Unfamiliar roads, long hours behind the wheel, day- and night-time driving coupled with a family impatient to get to its destination do not constitute an everyday driving occurrence.”

Many drivers prefer to drive during the night time to avoid driving in heavy traffic or during the heat of the day. Night-time driving takes its toll on the body, however, and this is all too often underestimated.

About 40% of accidents occur at night. This is not surprising, as night-time driving decreases one’s driving abilities. Swaying in lanes, an inability to keep a constant speed and an increased number of steering corrections are the result.

“If you do decide to drive at night, make sure your car is prepared: clean headlights, taillights, signal lights and windows are elementary necessities for safe night-time driving. Make sure your headlights are aimed properly, so they illuminate the road properly and don’t blind other drivers.

Reduce your speed and increase your following distance when driving at night. Remember that it is more difficult to judge other vehicles’ speed and distance at night,” advises Hayward.

Huge development underway for Masia The Minister of Rural Development and Land Reform, Mr Gugile Nkwinti, visited the Masia area on Saturday to officially perform the sodturning at a multi-million-rand community project.

This comes after Nkwinti had pleged a community centre to the area at an amount of R33 million. According to the minister, the community centre will comprise show grounds, a cultural village, a sports facility, a library, a computer laboratory and entertainment square and a multipurpose centre.

a confirmation that the project would indeed continue. He said that engineers had already completed technical work. “What is left is for the project to begin,” he said.

Nkwinti added that he wanted to see children engaging in sports activities at the centre. He also handed over the plan of the project to a traditional leader, Thovhele Vho-Nthumeni Masia.

Masia said that he was very excited about the project. “It is what we deserve as a rural community,” he said.

Masia added that the project would change the lives of rural

people for the better.

He said that he had already engaged the Department of Education in this regard, so that pupils also make use of the computer laboratory.

“Learners must also attend classes at the centre during their school periods. We need children to start learning how to operate computers from an early age,” Masia added.

Border officials ready for Easter rush South African and Zimbabwe immigration officials at the Beit Bridge border post have started putting mechanisms in place, aimed at decongesting the border post in anticipation of a huge influx of travellers during the Easter holiday period.

Zimbabwe’s regional immigration manager in charge of Beit Bridge Border Post, Mr Charles Gwede, told Limpopo Mirror that they had since held a preliminary inter-border meeting with their South African counterparts and other local key stakeholders.

“As we approach the Easter holiday period, we normally get an increased volume of travellers coming from or heading to South Africa, resulting in pressure on our personnel.

four to three, so that we have more officers per shift to ma­nage the queues and speed up the clearance process,” he said.

Gwede said they had since deployed more officers to help beef up the existing staff.

“We have also suspended leave days for our staff up to 16 April, taking into account that they would be school holidays in Zimbabwe and South Africa, hence an increase in the number of travellers on both entry and exit side. We will, however, continue to adjust our shifts, depending on the movement as we monitor the situation,” he said.

Gwede said all our checkpoints both on the exit and entry side would be adequately manned to enhance security at the border.

The local police spokesperson, Chief Supt Lawrence Chinhengo, said they had since deployed more officers at the border to enhance security.

“We have tightened security at the border and more officers have been deployed at all strategic points, so that we curb crime during the Easter holiday. We want to ensure that criminals who normally capitalize on the commotion during the peak to rob travellers have no access to the border area,” he said. Chinhengo said they had also intensified patrols along the major highways to clamp down on robbers targeting mostly foreign motorists.

“We are aware that criminals have a tendency of wanting to cash in on the increase in the volume of traffic at the border. They go to the highways and waylay motorists, hence we have intensified our patrols along highways.”

Drama at Beit Bridge funeral wake

There was drama at a funeral wake at Tshapfutshe village outside Beit Bridge, when the relatives of a dead woman descended on their in-laws’ homestead and abducted their daughter’s body for burial at their rural home in neighbouring Save village.

According to witnesses, the spectacle, which lasted for about 15 minutes, occurred on Sunday at around 06:00 at the homestead, where mourners had gathered for the burial of Barbara Mahlekete.

“It happened so fast that we were also left shocked. Six men arrived and walked into the yard in military style and, without even greeting anyone, they went straight to one of the huts, where they kicked the door open. While inside, they grabbed the widower by his trousers and brought him out of hut. They started wrestling with him as they shouted obscenities and demanded that he give them the body of the deceased, so that they could bury it themselves at their village,” said Mr Lameck Nguluvhe, a witness.

The mother of Mr Tererai Mushipe, the widower, saved the day when she pleaded with Mahlekete’s relatives to let go of her son and collect the body.

The six men then proceeded to the hut where the body was temporarily kept while waiting for burial later in day. They took it to their car and drove off at high speed, leaving mourners stunned.

The body was ferried to Save village, where the dead woman’s family had reportedly made their own burial arrangements. “It was so embarrassing, and I believe what these people did is repugnant to our African culture. Even if people had their differences, it was not proper to display them in that manner. Everyone was really shocked because the grave had already been dug,” said another witness, who declined to be named.

Soon after the fracas, one of the elders addressed the mourners. Afterwards, they filled the empty grave before they ate the food that had been prepared for the occasion and departed to their homes.

According to a source, the two families had had a long standing dispute because the dead woman’s relatives accused their son-in-law of neglecting their daughter and for the manner in which he handled her while she was ill.

“There has always been a misunderstanding between the two families, to the extent that, prior to the fateful day, they were conducting parallel funeral services. The deceased woman’s relatives had gathered at a house in Beit Bridge while the in-laws were holding their funeral at Tshapfutshe village,” said the source.

Laptops for deserving Univen students The three-year relationship between Dell Africa and the University of Venda continues to pay dividends for students.

The partnership, started three ago, has already seen 15 students benefitting from the company’s bursary fund. Students receive study kits on an annual basis that assist them in their studies.

On Monday, another five students were each given a laptop computer and R600 worth of clothing vouchers.

The handing-over was witnessed by parents of the students, the university manangement and other officials. Dell has, for the past three years, been funding five students each year to study for any degree at the university.

Handing over the laptops and the vouchers, Ms Natasha Reuben, transformation head at the company, said the relationship started as an ordinary client-business relationship, but grew to what it is today. “This is a way of ploughing back to people who support our business. The university has been doing business with us for a long time, and we felt we should do something to ease learning for disadvantaged students,” she said.

Police looking for dreadlocked man in ID theft case A 24-year-old agent at an administration firm in Thohoyandou received the shock of his life when he was told he owed a local loan company an amount of R5 000. As if that was not enough, he also learned that a business account has been opened using his identity document.

Khumbudzo Walter Raphalalani, of Gunda village outside Thohoyandou, who is also a traditional healer, said his mother received a call on the 27th of March this year from one of the cash loans businesses in Thohoyandou.

They were complaining that he was not accepting their calls and that he had reneged on his promise to pay back his loan.

Man in court for allegedly hunting an elephant A 54-year-old man from the Alldays area appeared in the Louis Trichardt District Court on Monday in connection with the alleged illegal hunting of an elephant.

Steven Barber from the farm Weltevreden, situated in the Alldays district, was charged with the hunting of wild or alien animals.

The charge against him relates to an incident during August 2006 on his farm.

According to the information provided, Barber played host to Spanish hunters on the farm.

During the visit, an elephant hunt was arranged for the hunters.

Barber, who allegedly does not have any elephants on his farm, arranged that an elephant from the neighbouring farm Kruidfontein would be lured to his farm.

He supposedly placed a load of oranges close to the bordering fence inside of Weltevreden.

The elephant was then chased through the fence with the help of a helicopter and hunted.

Barber was only arrested in June 2011, following an investigation by the Limpopo Department of Environmental Affairs, which received a tip-off from an informant. Since then, Barber has appeared in court numerous times.

During Monday’s appearance, his defence council asked the State for further particulars to prepare its case.

Barber and his legal representatives were reprimanded by the court over their apparent lack of communication when it was revealed that there was an outstanding bench warrant for Barber’s arrest.

The warrant was issued when Barber failed to appear in court in February this year because he was out of the country.

After Barber had apologized, the court ordered the State to provide his council with further particulars in the matter and postponed the case to 4 and 5 June for trial.

Another defeat for Phungo All Stars Modimolle Aces were too strong for Phungo All Stars when they beat them 1-0 in a Vodacom league match at Eltivillas on Saturday.

Stars enjoyed more ball possesion, but their promising moves were turned into a nightmare by the rock-solid defence of Aces. This was mainly due to the fact that the boys from the Waterberg were cooling the ball down in the middle of the park, thus giving their opponents no chance to do as they pleased.

Twelve years in jail for housebreaking The police in Thohoyandou have thanked the justice system for having imposed a 12-year prison term on a man convicted of housebreaking.

Nkhangweleni Ramabulana (29) was arrested for housebreaking at Sibasa Tyres in Makwarela. The incident took place in 2007.

He appeared in the Sibasa Re-

gional Court on a housebreaking charge and was sentenced to 12 years’ imprisonment without the option of a fine.

During the proceedings, the court heard that, on the night of 29 December 2007, Ramabulana broke into the business where he stole 27 new tyres and a car battery, before vanishing into the night.

It was later established that he had broken a security door to gain entry to the business.

Thohoyandou police spokesperson Const Avhafarei Tshiovhe applauded the sentence. “We warmly welcome the sentence.

We feel it corresponds with the crime and will serve as a deterrent to would-be thieves,” she said.

The Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry, Ms Elizabeth Thabethe, said the government was eager to help resuscitate Zimbabwe’s industries, following the recent signing of a bilateral trade agreement between the two countries.

Speaking at an investment and trade initiative seminar, organised by the Zimbabwe National Chamber of Commerce (ZNCC) in Bulawayo on Thursday, Thabethe urged Zimbabwean businesspeople to grab the opportunities brought about

She added that South Africa had benefited from the bilateral trade relationship with Zimbabwe in previous years, with a turnover amounting to about R17,5 billion last year.

Tebogo Ratshivhungula, the manager of Stars, said that they respected Dynamos, but in this match Dynamos had to forget about a victory. "We want to show them that we can match any team," he said.In the last match of the first round, Maelula New Mates will play against Tshikota Chelsea.

According to the PRO of Sinthumule/Kutama Community Sport Development, Mr Elvis “Parks” Phathela, the main aim of the tournament is to develop young players.

Phathela said that the winner of the tournament would receive R 3000, a floating trophy, gold medals, a soccer ball and new soccer kit.

The runners-up will receive R2 000, silver medals, a ball and a new soccer kit. The third prize will be R750, a ball and bronze medals.

The four teams beaten in the first matches will go home with R100 each and a soccer ball.

R5000 fine for Aces Lukau Hot Aces appeared before the Safa Vhembe Disciplinary (DC) hearing last Friday on a charge of assaulting a referee and also causing the abandonment of a match.

They were found guilty and fined R5 000.

Hot Aces were, however, found not guilty of the indirect abandonment of the match against Rambuda Young Figters and the league will reschedule the match.

The case between Omega Line and Jerome Riverbank was withdrawn and the league will order that the match be replayed.

Mutshenzheni Gorrilas appeared before the DC for failing to control their supporters , which caused the abandoment of the match against Thengwe Flying Peace. The DC ordered a rematch.

Basil FC and Rospa United clash ends in thrilling 1-1 draw The Vodacom Promotional League match between Basel FC and Rospa United at the Malamulele Stadium on Saturday ended in a 1-1 draw.

Although United were fighting it without three of their key players, they managed to match the hosts

pound for pound in all departments.

Basel were the first to blow the trumpet. The keeper of United, Mxolisi Ncube, abandoned his position and advanced out of the penalty box.

He was caught off-guard by Livhuwani Netshiendeulu, whose volley bounced outside the box and landed

United came close to scoring again in the dying minutes. Mukhethwa Mukoma could not believe his eyes when his volley went a little wide.

“Must win” match for Dynamos After losing a series of matches in a row, Dynamos are now aware of the fact that they will face relegation if they don’t start collecting league points from now on.

They will play against African Warriors this weekend. Although it will be an away fixture for Dynamos, their goalkeeper, Mashudu Mamphitha, is adamant that they will collect the available three match points. He indicated that all the players were aware of the fact any defeat in their remaining matches will push them deeper into the danger zone and that their aim was to win all their remaining matches.

The match will be played at the Charles Mopedi Stadium in the Free State tomorrow (Saturday).

Stars to shine?

It remains to be seen whether Phungo All Stars will manage to make a comeback this weekend, after losing a number of matches in succession.

Their most recent disappointing result was a 0-1 defeat at the hands of Modimolle Aces at the Louis Trichardt Eltivillas grounds last Saturday.

Phungo All Stars will pay a visit to Giyani, where they will lock horns with Giyani Hotspurs at the Giyani Stadium tomorrow afternoon. A win will do them good, as Phungo are fast losing support due to their poor performance in the past weeks.

Basel FC will also play away from home. They will battle for league points with The Dolphins at the Seshego Stadium. Basel will not make it against Dolphins if their performance against Rospa United last weekend is anything to go by. They played to a 1-1 draw with Rospa at the Malamulele Stadium last Saturday.

Nobela All Stars are ready to give Winners Park a run for their money when they meet at the Tshifulanani Stadium. It will be time for Nobela to avenge the 1-2 defeat they suffered at the hands of Giyani Hotspurs last weekend.

Rospa United will host Fanang Diatla FC. They will meet at the refurbished FNB Makwarela Stadium. Baroka FC and Modimolle Aces will test each other’s strength at the Seleteng Stadium.

A tricky hurdle lies ahead of Mighty FC. They will be away to try their luck against Lephalale Young Killers. Blue Rocks are determined to give Magezi a soccer lesson when they meet at the Nkowankowa Stadium, while Super Eagles and Dinare FC will play at the Seshego Stadium.

Majoro destroys Leopards Kaizer Chiefs booked their place in the quarterfinals of the Nedbank Cup, with a resounding 4-0 win over Black Leopards at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday night.

Striker Lehlohonolo Majoro scored all four of his side’s goals, netting a 16-minute hat-trick in the first half before completing his quadruple with another strike in the early stages of the second stanza.
