hink about the happiest holiday trip you can have in several destinations we present in this issue: Bishkek, Kuala Lumpur, Osaka, Tokyo, Phuket, Singapore, and Luang Prabang between July and August. Each year it’s getting busier and busier in these cities, but it’s worth your time and money I swear. So, if any of them are interesting enough to draw your attention, I reckon that it’s time to pack your bags for that long-awaited dream holiday again. Some of us probably love to hate packing. Especially when you have to think about how to put a lot of good-looking outfits into a small bag or suitcase, it seems difficult for you to leave them in the wardrobe for the whole summer. Many of savvy travelers will think what they really need to wear or use while they are travelling, what they can buy during their trips, and how much
stuff they should carry. Of course, they will start reducing the load. It will entail packing of few essentials. Make sure that the items you will carry can serve double duty – a pair of trousers that go well with T-shirts and dresses up for the chilly weather with a light jacket. Also, you don’t have to bring a lot of outfits if you have money to burn on the upcoming holidays. This is because those destinations absolutely have so many street shopping spots. Anyway, I’ve found that being prepared makes it far more likely that you’ll have an enjoyable trip, whether it’s for business or pleasure. As our small yet very dedicated team have worked diligently and really hard to ensure that each issue of 24Life Magazine maintained a fresh and appealing look with the right mix of content, we hope that this issue will be helpful for you to determine where you can spend your holidays. ake advantage of the high technology T that Japanese people use today, you will find out why Japan should always be your
travel destination. This trip my friend and I travelled mostly by the Japan’s bullet train called Shinkansen. It was created to facilitate both local and foreign travelers so that they can have the best travel moment everywhere they go within the country. We started off the trip in Osaka, one of Japan’s old merchant cities and also a century-long ‘nation’s kitchen’. To date, the city is full of street hearty foodies, endless shopping alleys, unique artistic concept cafés situated around every corner. Not only is Osaka ranked as No.1 world’s safest city, but also one of world’s most hipster cities. Life is actually going a bit more slowly in Osaka than in Tokyo, but you still can get all you need in Osaka. Visiting its downtown was also our right decision to seeing the Osaka castle built in 1583. This place is regarded as the city’s symbol and well-known for its uniqueness from the other ones across Japan. This stone fortress castle is surrounded

by a deep moat filled with water, whilst its remarkable museum offers a lot of information about the castle and Osaka’s history. Universal Studios Japan is another attraction for both local and international visitors, especially for those loving Universal’s theme parks. There are 10 areas arranged with several attractions shown in USA as well as with those unique to Universal Studios Japan. The latest area named The Wizarding World of Harry Potter was built in 2014 and has become popular among a number of Harry Potter fans. You can also enjoy your photo shooting time with the adorable ‘Minions’ from the movie entitled ‘Despicable Me’. Make an excellent day out and feel young again at the Universal Studios Japan. Afterwards we took an hour train to visit Inari Shrine in Kyoto. Here you will be wowed by a number of fox statues holding a key in their mouths. Millions of worshipers have been in this place to make a wish based on their personal belief in miracles. The next photo shooting attractions that you may have seen
from many pictures taken in Osaka are the Torii Gates commonly found within a Shinto Shrine all over Japan. However, there are many different designs, and each one tells you different info about the shrine. Japanese people believe that the gates are constructed to divide our world and the spirit world. We finished all the walking tour and stopped by street foodand drink stalls by the Inari Shrine. My favorite was the grilled mouthwatering Mochi (Japanese glutinous rice cake) served with Japanese salty and sweet sauce. We also took a three hour train from Kyoto to Kawaguchiko in which Japan’s iconic Mount Fuji is located. The journey was actually about five hours long with a few transits, but the signs are all clear so any backpackers can just follow them downward to the same destination. Then, you need to take a bus at Kawaguchiko station and will definitely enjoy breathtaking lake views along the way up the Mount. I guess you can also rent a cab, which is probably not that expensive as it only runs in such a small town.

We were ready to go back to Tokyo and planned to stop at Shinjuku. Who won’t want to shop in Tokyo, right? When lots of people say that Tokyo is an expensive city, I’ll never disagree. Anyway there is a lot of good quality, cheap stuff for the shopaholics too, including cosmetics, health and body care products, fashionable local and international outfits. There were also plenty of eateries for those loving to experience Japanese-style small yet crowded restaurants. I’d say it was good to be back in Tokyo though it’s crazily busy. Tokyo offers tons of sights awaiting old and new visitors every day and every night. You can check out Tokyo Imperial Palace, Meiji Shrine, Harajuku, Tokyo Disneyland, Tokyo National Museum, Tokyo Skytree, and many others during the day. Then, there are several bizarrely fun spots for women’s and men’s night out that you shouldn’t miss. If you have a long holiday, I recommend you spend time outside Tokyo for a week or
two, then come back and stay in Tokyo 2 or 3 days before your departure. This trip taught me that once we dare to dream, but we must dare to make our dream come true as well. I believe that many of you add Japan to your bucket list. Please don’t wait until your heart stops beating or your body doesn’t allow you to go anywhere. Keep the flame of desire lit. Every journey just begins with the first step. Note : If following Japan’s classic itineraries, you may want to visit Kansai and try Osaka’s most delicious crabs at Shinsaibashi. End up spending your night drinking Asahi beers and Takoyaki at a small food stall.

Kuala Lumpur or KL is the capital and the largest city of Malaysia. At the same time, it is one of the most vibrant metropolises in the Southeast Asian region. That is to say this city has an array of options for spending your free time. 26 l 24LIFE M a g a z i n e
t has a great downtown boasting a number of shopping Icenters, green parks, museum, or other cultural amenities. Particularly, KL is well-known for its food excellence. This is the reason no visitor leaves KL weighing less than when they arrived. KL in just 150 years ago was totally different from now. It was founded as a Chinese tin mining village with some Indian migrants and British colonists. After Britain got bowled out of Malaysia in 1957, Kuala Lumpur has undergone rapid modernization. However, many historic buildings can be seen just wandering around town.
Presently, KL is home to almost 7 million people. It encompasses a total area of 243 square kilometers. It seems to be a relatively densely populated city. Tourism and trading have been major tremendous factors in keeping the city’s economy afloat. Moreover, Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) is one of the busiest airports in the region, with the influx of visitors from all over the world.

As for shopaholics, you should take in one of KL’s sixty malls to blow your Ringits little by little. There is the biggest shopping venue called Suria Kuala Lumpur City Center (KLCC). Particularly, you can’t miss the nationwide “1Malaysia Mega Sale Carnival” during the Green Season or rainy season, yearly held between June and August. It’s going to blow your mind, as the whole country abruptly transforms itself into a shopper’s paradise offering irresistible bargains. A great number of products can be found on sale at their lowest price in any retail outlets, malls and shops. A visit during these months will leave you completely satisfied and energized! If you are shopping for electronics, Malaysia is a great destination for buying products like cameras, mobile phones, MP3 players, DVD players, laptops and even electronic household items. Many of these products are manufactured in Malaysia making the prices a lot lower than in other countries and during the deal period, the prices get slashed even further.

Local souvenirs can also be found at Central Market, which is very close to Chinatown. It used to be an Art Deco wet market, but some structure of the building was revamped. Thus, at the moment this place is classified as a heritage site where you can appreciate local arts and handicrafts created by local portraits and street artists. Indeed, you can find little gifts, such as magnets, key chains, T-shirts, and women’s accessories as well. Don’t become so obsessed with shopping that you miss visiting some local sights in the city. Many locals surely will recommend you go to see the-452-meter-Petronas Twin Towers. These 88-story towers hold a mix of Oriental and Western architectural styles; the buildings themselves look like multi-tiered pagodas. In addition, the cross-sectional form of the buildings is based on Islamic geometric principles. With the topping of two 75-meter imported European stainless-steel spikes, the Petronas Towers are currently proclaimed the world’s tallest twin buildings. All visitors can also check out a double decker skybridge connecting the towers on the 41st and 42nd floor. The skybridge offers an unparalleled view of KL. Also, it showcases a gateway to the future through its structural design not attached to the main structure of the two towers. Please note that this spot is not that desirable for those having acrophobia at all. Actually there are a lot of tourist attractions in town, but I didn’t have enough time to explore all. So, I chose only iconic attractions including the old Istana Negara Palace, the Royal Museum situated in Jalan Istana. It was built in 1928 as a private residence of a Chinese tin tycoon before becoming the official residence of His Majesty Seri Paduka Baginda Yangdi-Pertuan

Agong and Her Majesty Seri Paduka Baginda Raja Permaisuri Agong. The Palace is divided into two building blocks, the Palace Gallery and Balairung Seri, each with different design. All-inclusive facilities within the Palace allow you to get the picture of a luxurious life of Malaysian Royal Family. I think it’s worth a visit. As Malaysia is a Muslim state, it has tons of mosques. The one I visited is called Masjid Jamek located at the confluence of the Klang River and the Gombak River. It was built in 1909 and designed in Mughal style. Nowadays it is considered one of the oldest mosques in KL. Visitors can get into the mosque for free.
Though it is permissible for the mosque to accept money from foreign donors, none of them is obliged to pay a donation. Then I went to see the Merdeka Square – a huge open square representing the independence of the country. It is situated in the city center of KL and nearby the Jamek Masjid, Central Market, and Chinatown. It was the place where the Malayan flag was hoisted after gaining independence from Britain at midnight of August 31, 1957. If you are in KL on August 31, there will be an annual parade called the Merdeka Day Parade.

The pink-domed Putra Mosque was my last stop of this trip in KL. It was constructed with rose-tinted granite with a 116-meter minaret influenced by the design of the Sheikh Omar Mosque in Baghdad. The minaret has five tiers, signifying the Five Pillars of Islam – the testimony of faith, prayer, giving zakat (support of the needy), fasting during the month of Ramadan, and the Pilgrimage to Makkah. Local people claim
that this mosque can accommodate up to 15,000 worshippers at any one time. Although you can see that faith holds a place of great respect among local Malays here, KL is still a diverse mix of people of different ethnicities, cultures, and religions, including Hindu and Buddhism. Cultural, religious and linguistic diversity is celebrated while new comers are always welcome by the locals.

The seafood is super cheap compared to what you have to pay in any other restaurants around Phuket. There is a good selection of live fishes. They also have other delicacies like oysters, rays, crabs, squids, shrimps, king prawns, and clams. This is definitely Phuket’s most popular fish market among local and foreign tourists, so it’s busy at times. However, the fish vendors are all knowledgeable and will

even tell you how to prepare a dish. After buying the seafood, you can just bring it to restaurants on the opposite side of the road and let any restaurant staff know how you want it done. They are ready to cook up your stuff and charge 100-150 Bath per kilo for preparation. The atmosphere is absolutely fun and welcoming. Price is dirt cheap compared to regular outdoor markets as well as to what you have to pay in any other restaurants around Phuket. We would highly recommend because you definitely get your money’s worth. Indeed, this should be on all travelers’ itinerary!

So there’s no wonder why people in the city are often sick. Wouldn’t it be good if we have found a place frozen in the past where we can just visit and find peace? The place where the air is filled with happiness and smiles, and time slows down. Such place
might seem like a dream, but would you believe if we say such place is real and it’s simply called “Luang Prabang”. The world heritage city feels like a time capsule that takes us 100-200 years back in time. Luang Prabang is home to historic temples, Buddhist arts, Royal Palace, and museums, as well as beautiful colonial style buildings built during French occupation. While some of these colonial style buildings are still to accommodate boutique hotels, fine dining restaurants, guesthouses, and shops. Unlike metropolises around the world, Luang Prabang is perfect for an exploration on foot or on a bicycle because of its small size.

Although Luang Prabang has been experiencing growth and thriving tourism, tall buildings sticking awkwardly out of the city skyline are nowhere to be seen – thanks to UNESCO’s world heritage city regulations. The charm of Luang Prabang exudes from all corner of the city, but if you want to start your exploration somewhere, the northwest corner where Kan River and Mekong River meet is a great spot to chill out by the river. Not far from the peninsula is Mount Phou Si, a 100 meter high hill in the center of the old town, with the famous stupa of Wat Chom Si sitting on the summit. And believe it or not, locals believe that under the hill of Mount Phou si lies a giant being imprisoned underground! Dubbed as one of the most beautiful temple in Laos, is the most famous world heritage in Luang Wat Chiang Tong Prabang. Built in 1560 by King Setthathirath, one of the greatest kings of Laos, the beauty of Wait Chiang Tong is in the detailed design that combines all form of art, from wall painting, to wood carving, and gilding. You don’t even have to look closely to appreciate the 3 tier roof architecture, the ‘Tree of Life’ at the back of the temple, or the invaluable wooden Buddha inside the temple. If you are here early in the morning, you can join the monks for a morning prayer to experience a peaceful sense of Buddhism. Contrasting the nostalgic atmosphere of the past is the lively “Night Market”. As the sun goes down, cars and motorcycles make way for shops and pedestrians on the walking street in the heart of Luang Prabang. This is where you’ll find local handicrafts and buy yourself a traditional dress, silver accessories, and embroideries. If you considered yourself as a foodie, you should not miss local Pho (noodle soup) or try Kai spicy salad, nutritious freshwater algae found in Mekong River. Other local favorites include Som Tam (papaya salad), Laab (minced meat salad, and Koi (raw meat salad). Time flies when you are having a good time, and with peaceful ambience, delightful local dishes, and a bottle of chilled local beer, you may never have enough time to enjoy the life Luang Prabang has to offer.

The ground crew gave us a sweet smile and said “Sabai Dee” as we board the plane. It might be a goodbye for me and the airport staff, but it definitely not a goodbye for Luang Prabang. Water features and floor-to-ceiling windows create a light and airy ambience and, an illusion of space. consider myself a young, wild chef, who loves extreme sports including skateboarding and surfing. I like to explore new tastes and combine Western ingredients with Asian ones. Also, “I have no limit on my work”, but I also have a work-life balance, which is very important for me. I like a hands-on cooking while boring work environments can kill my creativity. I mainly buy vegetables from local markets as to support the locals, but some of the main ingredients are ordered from some suppliers. They have product consistency and offer good prices.

“The Greatest Happiness Comes From Things You Put Your Heart Into.” Nalinna, what do you do exactly? Often, I have been asked ‘so what do you actually do?’ I don’t work office hours nor I work for companies. I would draw whenever I want to and paint on a rainy day. I am not a good chef, I am still learning how to cook. Sometimes I bake and share recipes, making drinks for food styling. Sometimes I set timer for dress - up days. Sometimes I would be behind the lens. I sew when new dress is needed and become a vintage collector every time I spot something. What do you like to do on weekend? Sunday is my wandering day, I visit forests yes to get some inspirations. I often create and make things to share ideas, before bed then I blog. I sell stuff, I make small living but it is enough to save and live through each day. In this quiet corner, in my small world, I adore the life that I own. As you have just said that you like to visit forests, do you any favorite places you like or want go for holidays? One of my biggest missions for the next 3 - 4 years is to visit as many forests around the world as possible. There are now three places in my mind. They are all connected with me in some way or another: Scotland The place where my great grandpa was born, Edinburgh, Scotland. Though I have visited the city only once but the memory has remained in my heart up until today. sky floating above the olive green moors of the countryside. The breezy chilly wind brushed against my face when I ran across the field amongst sheep and goats. Edinburgh is a charming city full off people with captivating smiles if I have a chance to go back, Scotland would be my very first choice. Gloucestershire This is also in the UK. I spent my 8 years of childhood there as Westonbirt School boarder, Gloucestershire, UK. One of the best experiences I could ever had. Every moment and every little detail was captured in my mind as a great story to retell. The school is located next to Tetbury and Malmsbury, about 30 - 40 minute drive from Bath. It was like the Hogwart School from Harry Potter, we were separated into 3 houses; Holford, Batminton and Dorchester as though you were living in the fantasy, the wake up bell, the drawing room, the hymn at church, the choirs, the tasteless school food, the Christmas Dinner and the Ball at the end of each term. The place where my dreams of really enlightened the happiest time of my life. Chiang Mai, Thailand This is my birth city. A nature lover like me who love to get myself surrounded with trees. I often have road trips around Chiang Mai with my parents on random days. We would drive up Chiang Dao Mountains through forests and stop at any places to capture a few photos. I love how our trips are often unplanned; it excites me every time as though we are venturing a big adventure.
I could never get bored with our little sightseeing explorations, from time to time we would go back to the same spot again, still there are always new things to see. What’s your happiest holiday moment in your lifetime? I think it was in Singapore. I have been living in Singapore for quite sometimes. Apart from schooling, it was a great opportunity for me to expose to another kind of lifestyle. Singapore is a multi - cultural country with mixture of different ethnics such as Chinese, Indians, Malays and Westerners. Out of all national holidays, what has impressed me most had to be the Chinese New Year break. But they also have the Chinese New Year in Thailand, don’t they? Yes, but though I am Thai - Chinese but I have never encountered such an experience in Thailand. I would visit Johor Bharu, next door neighbor 45 minute drive from Singapore to attend some gatherings and sights. Noticing how they pray from morning till night, trying out different kind of food on the table, night time karaoke gathering and giving out oranges to visitors. These moments reminded me of old school movie collections. I could spot glimpses of happiness from everyone and received a very warm welcome I have never come across before. One of the memorable holidays I have remembered. What do you think about life? How do we find what we really want in life? Life is an adventure, trusting your heart is the key to reach your destination. Nobody could tell you the exact path to walk. The greatest happiness comes from things you put your heart into. So, you must remind yourself that every step you take gives you great deal of experiences; to make decisions, to know what you like/dislike capable/ not capable, to enable you to be more focused. his country may not be easily T recognized on the world map though it’s part of the Central Asian region, located between Kazakhstan and China, and of course, not far from Russia. Like other “Stan” countries in Central Asia, Kyrgyzstan consists of multiethnic populations, mainly Kyrgyz Muslims. You can also
see ethnic Russians, Uzbeks, and Koreans whose ancestors have been settled here since the USSR. To date, majority of people speak Kyrgyz as a national language, while Russian is an official language used between different ethnic groups. As a new country with centur y long history, Kyrgyzstan has been trying to create its own national and cultural identity so that it can fade away from Sovietization. I moved to Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan as to pursue my own dream being part of its nomadic society. Some of you are probably unable to understand what brings a foreigner like me to this part of the world. In general, Bishkek very little represents the richness of Kyrgyz culture, nature, and generosity. However, it is a major hub of Kyrgyzstan’s administration, politics, economy, and education. It’s full of local and international restaurants, bars, clubs, few shopping malls, and other entertainment venues. Cost of living is, of course, much lower than the West, but you can check out western-style bars and restaurants at which a lot of expats and Kyrgyz white collars like to hang out for socialization. Nevertheless, I’m not a big fan of city party. I like going outside Bishkek as there are a lot of mountains and untouched nature regarded by locals as normal things. But as for me, to live a more fulfilling and meaningful life is to live closer to nature. The latest place I visited is Ala-Archa National Park, just 30 km away from Bishkek. I took a minibus called mashrutka in Russian from the center, which cost me less than $1 USD (about 50 Kyrgyz Som). The mashrutka is not that ideal if you want to go somewhere farther than its fixed points. I saw some big bikers heading to the same destination. I was feeling jealous but I don’t think I would dare get a bike and ride to the mountains where I’m not familiar with now. Also, if I’m not mistaking, there are probably a rental motorbike shop hidden in town but nobody knows quality of the bikes. Thus, at the moment people have few options, private vehicle, taxi, and mashrutka.

Ala-Archa is an alpine park in the Tian Shan of the country. As its altitude ranges from about 1,500 meters to a maximum of 4,895 meters, there have been a number of international hikers, mountain climbers, and skiers visiting here. The National Park is open year round, but the best time to enjoy panoramic views of snowcapped mountains and lush green pinewood forests is between April and June. Actually the weather up here is always way colder and nicer than Bishkek, even in summer. Ala-Archa is very crowded during spring and summer holidays and weekends, as Kyrgyz families will gather around here. In Kyrgyzstan, youcan utilize public lands for private recreation, including BBQ, picnic, sleep, stream shower, etc. The locals know that they just need to keep the public place clean before leaving. Apart from BBQ, there are a few local restaurants serving local food, such as meat soup and noodles. I like to order Ashlam Fu, a cold vegetarian soup served around Bishkek and Issyk-Kul (a lake district). It tastes spicy and a bit sour, made with cold noodles, jelly, vinegar and eggs. It may not sound very appetizing but it is really tasty, especially if you have it in summer. As for Ala-Archa, you will see so many people spending time with their beloved families all the way to the entrance of the National Park. Many of them prefer to be a bit far from the entrance, so they can see mountain panorama with green fields and blue sky. Some of them like to drink beers, vodka, or local cognac with their close friends. Although there are some police checkpoints in the area, the route from Ala-Archa back to Bishkek remains very dangerous because of several drunk drivers and passengers. It’s better to avoid going there on holidays or weekends. Please not that Kyrgyz people believe that having a guest at home or taking care of him/ her wherever you guys meet is their honor and pleasure; I guarantee that you will never feel lonely because there will always be someone around to keep you company. Don’t panic and feel free to follow local traditions!

Could you please tell us about your childhood? I started working since I was very young, helping my grandpa around vegetables and fruits plantations. My family was pretty poor. My mom worked outside home as a cleaning lady. She took care of me and my little brother. I quit school when I was in 4th grade because I had to help my mom get some money to support our family. What had you done before doing the metallurgy business? After I failed to work in agricultural fields, I changed to work at a tailor shop and had been there til I got some savings. Then, I decided to buy a commercial building. We opened a small take-away restaurant downstairs while made monthly rental rooms upstairs. One of my tenants was an ironworker. We had the chance to talk about this sort of work. At that time, I recognized that very few buildings had metal gates and metal railings,

so I saw an opportunity to start up my own business. As for me, I only thought about getting more and more money than stable job with the government like other people at the same age. So, how was the beginning of this business? From the beginning, I got only one employer but he did a very good jobs. Our customers were satisfied with our quality of work and it became word-of mouth advertising, which was really good for us. Then I decided to expand my business and established the Universe Sunsash Metal Company. What were business challenges you have faced? How could you go through them? As for me, a business challenge is all about how to create new innovations to be ahead of my competitors. I like to go abroad, see new technological ideas, and bring them back to develop my products or services. The most important issue is honesty to customers. You have to fix with it. Also, it’s better for
me to have good relations with the other competitors in the same market, why not? You need to know them as same as they need to know you. This is my thought process and it contributes to business success. Could you please leave a message for those who want to have business success in the future? Yes, as for me, I’ve never stopping creating and developing all the stuff about my business. What I want to say is you can work as hard as you want, but you need to have work-life balance. Why is it important? Why do a lot of successful business people always mention it? Because you need to relax, at least your brain and the whole body needs. I love golfing and travelling with my family. I also like to do some social work as part of the Rotary Club. The thing is you shouldn’t forget to embrace the opportunity to pay back to society when you are successful.

你所遇到过的生意上的挑战有些什么？你是怎么 样克服过来的? : 对于我来说，所有生意上的挑战都是关于如何 改革创新自己，进而使自己始终走在同行竞争对 手之前。我喜欢到国外去观摩学习那些新的技术 和思想，然后把它们带回来发展成为自己的产品 或服务。最重要的因素是忠诚于客户，你必须处 理好这一难题。当然，对我来说与同行中的那些 竞争对手保持好关系也十分重要，为什么不呢? 知己知彼，百战百胜。这些都是我的一些经验和 想法，也正是这些想法造就了我今天生意上的 成就。 请问你可不可以为那些想要自己创业的后辈留一 些意见和建议？ : 当然，作为我来说，我从来没有停止去革新和 发展我的生意过。我想说的是，你可以像你所想 要的那样去拼命努力工作，但是你也需要在生活 和工作间找到一个平衡点。它为什么重要呢？为 什么那么多成功的商人都总是谈到它？因为你需 要放松，至少你的脑子和身体需要放松。我特别 喜欢打高尔夫还有和家人一起旅游，我也参加一 些社会性社团，比如扶轮社。你绝对不能忘记的 东西是，在成功之后尽你所能回馈社会。

PHAYU attasak Taoudom or Phayu N (meaning storm in Thai language) was born in Chiang
Mai and is currently undertaking a master in Special Education in the Faculty of Education at Chiang Mai University. Phayu was Thailand’s former national youth swimming athlete and has been teaching a swimming lesson to children since he was 19. After a year’s teaching, there was once a parent taking her autistic son to Phayu’sswimming class. At that time he had no idea how to teach and deal with the boy, as it was his first time hearing about child with autism. Actually it was very difficult for Phayuto teach the boy and he nearly gave up hope.

Phaya didn’t hesitate to tell the mother of the boy about this difficulty. Fortunately, she encouraged him and said, “it’s totally alright. I just wanted to take my boy to swim. If he doesn’t want to learn, at least it’s good enough to just have you besides him”. After their talk, Phayu felt much relieved and let the boy do whatever he wanted in the pool under his care. In two days, the boy could float himself in the pool and could swim with different strokes within 3 months, including crawl, breaststroke, and butterfly. Phayuwas really proud of his student and, of course, of himself. Apart from that, he became morepatient and calm to go through any other difficulties with teaching children. Since then,
Phayu has got inspired to continue teaching children with hearing impairment. In his opinion, those kids could have had troubles asking for help if they drowned. Moreover, Phayu started learning sign language for communication with deaf children as well as teaching students with a vision impairment and other physical disabilities. Recently, Phayuhasalso initiated a new project called “Sa Wai Nam Dern Dai (translated to Walkable Pool in English)” for underprivileged children in several different parts of Thailand, in collaboration with several people and organizations inside and outside Thailand, including a Swedish actor named Kjell Bergqvist, who would like to see local children have the opportunity to learn how to swim.

面上了，在接下来的三个月里，学 会很多有难度的动作，比如：自由 泳、蛙泳和蝶泳。帕育当然为这个 孩子、为自己感到骄傲，而且他在 教学过程中也变得更有耐心。 随后，帕育还教一些有 听力障碍的孩子，因为在他看来， 如果这类孩子遇到溺水等突发事件 时，将很难寻求帮助，因此更有必 要让他们掌握游泳本领。此外，帕 育还积极学习手语以便于和有听力 障碍的孩子交流，当然他还教授有 视力障碍和其他生理缺陷的孩子。 最近，帕育创立了一个名为“可以 行走的游泳池”的新项目，旨在为 泰国各个贫困地区的孩子提供更多 接受教育的机会，该项目得到国内 外个人及组织的大力支持，其中包 括一位叫KjellBergqvist、希望更多 的人有机会学习游泳的瑞典演员。
