beyond the centre through community outreach programmes. This year, Flipside will be collaborating with two international artists to conduct workshops that make learning fun and hands-on. Creative Director of Bunk Puppets Jeff Achtem will conduct a series of integrated craft and performance workshops homes: Darul Ihsan Orphanage, Ramakrisha Mission Boys Home, Beyond Social Services and EN Community Services (Si Ling Student Care). The workshop aims to stimulate imagination and creativity through shadow puppetry by exploring the many possibilities of creating unique art works from everyday household items. The participants will also learn forms of creative expression both through watching and creating their own performances. Fraser

Hooper will also conduct a series of clowning workshops for children

and youths from Muhammadiyah Welfare Home and Ang Mo Kio Family Service Centre. Through techniques of improvisation, rhythm and games, the workshop is designed to show how elements of slapstick, surprise and music have the ability to change moods. Participants will get the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of what makes us laugh and experience the shared joy of performing in front of an audience. bull, these unique creations are presented by aspiring artists who have been selected for the Büffel Art Competition. The competition is the first of a two-part Büffel Art Project; a charity initiative organised by Braun Büffel which aims to encourage greater development in arts. Through the Project, funds collected will go towards the beneficiary, Very Special Arts Singapore.
