NATRAD FREMANTLE CLAIMS NATIONAL AWARD FOR 2021 Each year, Natrad Franchise stores from across Australia gather together for their annual National Conference and Awards dinner Here the highest performing Natrad workshops in Australia are recognised for success and excellence across a range of criteria including shop and staff, presentation, marketing, sales and service.

“They are a really valuable part of the Franchise group.”

Thanks to COVID-19, the past couple of years haven’t allowed such a large group to gather but Natrad still wanted to recognise and commend the best workshops across the country.

Natrad Fremantle is a multi-service capable workshop, able to handle radiator and air conditioning work, heavy duty repairs and vehicle servicing. They are one of four Natrad workshops that are able to cater to such a wide range of applications.

This year, Natrad Fremantle was crowned not only the State winner for Western Australia but also as 2021 National Franchise of the Year. The prestigious award was presented to ecstatic shop owners Kerry Anne and Dayle Joseph, which acknowledges their business as the best Natrad workshop in Australia. Other 2021 State Winners were Natrad Dalby (QLD), Natrad Wingfield (SA), Natrad Moorebank (NSW/ACT) and Natrad Eaglehawk (VIC). “We are so impressed with the Natrad Fremantle workshop and team. They have performed tremendously over the past year and Kerry-Anne has done a great job to expand their skills,” Natrad National Franchise Manager, Roy Lapedota, said.

Dayle and Kerry-Anne became a part of the Natrad Franchise group in 2007. Since then, their business and skillset has grown significantly.

Not only is their broad range of skills impressive, but their experience speaks for itself. With a team that boasts a combined 60 years in the industry, Natrad Fremantle has amassed the particular knowledge necessary for heavy vehicle, machinery and passenger car cooling systems. The Natrad group is Australia’s largest specialist network of radiator and auto air conditioning workshops and is proudly supported by Australia’s largest radiator manufacturer and supplier, ADRAD. After sales service and warranty support is covered nationally by member workshops coast-to-coast. Need quality cooling for passenger cars, heavy

NEW COMMITTEE TO EXPLORE ROAD SAFETY IN AUSTRALIA The ultimate goal of the committee is to decrease road injuries and deaths A new parliamentary committee has been established with the goal of identifying ways to reduce traumas and deaths on Australian roads. The Joint Select Committee on Road Safety will explore opportunities to improve road safety programs and policy. The committee will also investigate how to reduce road trauma in the workplace. More than half of all worker fatalities in Australia are related to vehicles. Additionally, the committee will also determine how to integrate road trauma prevention across agencies. “This inquiry will focus on the practical and immediate steps that can be taken to reduce trauma and deaths on our roads,” Committee Chair, Pat Conaghan MP, said. “The committee will be focusing on what can be done in the short to medium term to achieve real and tangible results. “We need to focus on action and cooperation in the prevention of further trauma and deaths on our road networks.

“We will also focus attention on ensuring the Federal Government’s 2021-22 Budget commitment of $3 billion over three years to the Road Safety Program continues to be effective.” Mr Conaghan also said that tens of thousands are hospitalised each year due to road accidents, and over 1,000 people die on Australian roads each year. The impact is greater on rural and regional Australians since two thirds of deaths on Australian roads in 2019 took place in regional or remote areas. Of course, for most Australians the roads are an unavoidable means of transport, especially in these rural areas. “We always have to remember that these are people not just statistics. They are mums and dads picking the kids up from school; truck drivers keeping our supermarkets stocked; cyclists and pedestrians heading to work; farmers driving into town to re-supply; and gig economy delivery workers,” Mr Conaghan said. Mr Conaghan emphasised the importance of

exploring all possible options to meet Australia’s road safety goals. “We must all work together towards zero deaths and serious injuries on Australian roads by 2050. Everyone deserves to feel safe on our roads,” Mr Conaghan said.
