What is OLED? OLED (Organic Light-Emitting Diodes) is a flat light emitting technology made by placing a series of organic thin films between two conductors. ... OLEDs are emissive displays that do not require a backlight and are thinner and more efficient than LCDs (which do require a white backlight). The glass is transparent without blocking your line of sight and allowing you to mount the lightbar inside the cockpit. This prevents any damage due to the environment or issues due to exposure.
