Education Sessions Several educational sessions will be available throughout the Ag Aviation Expo. Educational Sessions are organized by NAAA with assistance from its Allied Industry Committee to provide information of general interest to the aerial application industry. Sessions are also organized by individual companies to showcase their particular products and services. Watch the schedule as it develops and plan to attend as many Educational Sessions as possible (CEUs may be available for some states). All sessions will take place at the Savannah Convention Center, unless otherwise stated. SCHEDULE SUBJECT TO CHANGE. Sunday, Dec. 5 8 a.m. - 5:30p.m. CD Aviation TPE331 Seminar Great for an IA Refresher: CD Aviation Services has developed a one-day comprehensive training course which covers all aspects of the Honeywell TPE331 series engines including design, model variations, maintenance and troubleshooting. It was designed to provide owners, operators, pilots and mechanics with the technical information needed to fully understand and utilize their TPE331. The course is fully accredited by the Federal Aviation Administration as an IA Refresher Training Course. Monday, Dec. 6 1 - 2:30 p.m. The Potential and Perils of Aerial Application Automation Session Radial Engines Session Discussion of Pratt & Whitney R-985 and R-1340 series of radial engines. The panel will be comprised of representatives from Covington Aircraft. Best operating experience/guidance and Q&A. Please come prepared to ask questions and learn all you can. Moderator: Covington Aircraft Chemical Session The Chemical Session will feature chemical company representatives discussing their products that can be applied aerially. Topics will include a review of those products, labeled crops, targeted pests, timing and crop state for applications, safety considerations and label guidelines relevant to aerial application. New products as well as existing products will be covered. Attend the session to learn about the latest and greatest products that can be applied using agricultural aircraft. your aviation insurance professionals from AIG, Old Republic Aerospace, USAIG and Starr Insurance Companies and agencies. Topics to include, but not limited to the current state of the insurance marketplace, additional insureds and contractual requirements, pollution versus chemical liability, aircraft hull and liability, claims, and workers compensation followed by Q&A. Insero Session: AgPilotX and Affiliates – The latest engineering solutions in aerial applications Discussion about AgPilotX, the Apple iPad-based, wireless Guidance System and its interface with third party systems. Session will cover the basic functionality of the AgPilotX system and the use of an Apple device to drive the system. Will also discuss AgPilotX’s interaction with third party software and hardware systems such as AgSync, the Reabe Gate and ChemMan. The panel will also discuss AgPilotX’s specialized software designed for its derivative markets in the helicopter industry and in the Vector world.
