Professora Titular da Escola de Belas Artes da Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais, artista e pesquisadora. Doutorado em Estudos Literários pela Faculdade de Letras da UFMG (2000) e Mestrado (Master of Fine Arts - MFA) pelo Pratt Institute, New York, EUA (1984). Pós-doutorado pela Indiana University, Boominton, EUA (2009). Atua na área de Artes Plásticas, Teoria, Crítica e História da Arte, abordando as relações entre as artes, focalizando o campo expandido da gravura e do livro de artista e suas interseções e contrapontos com a escrita e a imagem no contexto da arte contemporânea. Coordena o grupo de pesquisa (CNPq) CALIGRAFIAS E ESCRITURAS. Desde 2001, é membro do corpo permanente do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Artes da Escola de Belas Artes da UFMG, que ajudou a fundar. Coordenou a implantação do primeiro Doutorado em Artes do Estado de Minas Gerais e quinto do Brasil, na Escola de Belas Artes da UFMG (2006). Foi professora da Indiana University, Bloomington, EUA, em 2009, e coordena intercâmbio de cooperação com essa universidade. Tem exposto sua produção artística no Brasil e no exterior. Publica livros e artigos sobre suas pesquisas, em jornais e revistas acadêmicas nacionais e internacionais. Organiza e participa de eventos nacionais e internacionais na sua área. É Bolsista de Produtividade em Pesquisa do CNPq, membro do Comitê Brasileiro de História da Arte (CBHA) e da Associação Brasileira de Críticos de Arte (ABCA). Foi Professora residente no Instituto de Estudos avançados transdisciplinares da UFMG (2015-2016).

Full Professor at the School of Fine Arts at the Federal University of Minas Gerais, artist and researcher. PhD in Comparative Literature (School of Letters/ UFMG, 2000) and Master of Fine Arts (Pratt Institute/ New York, USA, 1984). Postdoctoral degree (Indiana University, Boomington, USA, 2009). Veneroso works on intermediality, focusing on the expanded field of printmaking and artists’ books, and its intersections and counterpoints with word and image in the context of contemporary art. She coordinates the research group (CNPq) CALLIGRAPHS AND SCRIPTURES. Since 2001, she has been a permanent member of the Graduate Program in Arts at the School of Fine Arts at UFMG. She coordinated the implantation of the first PhD in Arts of the State of Minas Gerais and the fifth in Brazil, at the School of Fine Arts at UFMG (2006). She has been a visiting artist and professor at Indiana University, Bloomington, US (2009), and she coordinates an Exchange of cooperation with this University. Veneroso exhibits in major national and international juried and invited exhibitions. She publishes books and articles in Brazil and abroad, organizes and participates in national and international events. She is a Researcher at CNPq, a member of the Brazilian Committee of History of Art (CBHA) and of the Brazilian Association of Art Critics (ABCA). She was a resident professor at the Institute of Advanced Transdisciplinary Studies at UFMG (2015-2016).
