DCM We held our first DCM this month! Each one will be at Panera Bread in Sparta. While we did not make quorum I hope we will at future DCMs. We went over upcoming events that are also featured in this newsletter. I also want to ask everyone to help with coming up with an idea for a divisional event! Some ideas can be a volleyball or can-jam tournament. This will be an event that the entire division will be able to attend so we also need to find a club central to everyone to host it. If you think your school may be up for hosting please let me know!

I also gave advice on any club problems people were having so if you have any question or concerns please contact me and I will help you best I can.

Shout Out & Spotlight Congrats to High Point for raising 53 lbs of food and this month for the district project! "Key Club showed me that I have been blessed with so many things in my life and that there are so many people that don't have these advantages and now I able to share the gifts that I have been given with the less fortunate."

— Giles Stuber from Hackettstown

At Vernon Key Club, officers, along with District Governor Ciara Clarkin, introduced 7th graders to Key Club at their school’s club fair collecting names of many students interested in joining.

Key Club Over the Summer Key Club continues through the summer months so please remember to turn in your CMRFs each month and try to have some service projects! Have bake sales, hold food drives, so anything to help your community! Now is also the time to fundraise for upcoming

events such as Fall Rally, Key Leader, or District Convention so let me know if you need any help!

Kiwanis Family Picnic The Kiwanis Family Picnic will be an amazing opportunity to meet with not only your fellow Key Clubbers, but also Circle K members (the college branch of Kiwanis) and Kiwanians! It will be a great day to help in a beach clean-up followed by beach fun!

Philadelphia Soul Game The Philadelphia Soul vs. Tampa Bay Storm game will be another amazing chance to meet Key Clubbers and have fun! $10 of each ticket will be going to Key Club to help with future projects.

RTCs Regional Training Conferences are held in both the spring and fall so that all Key Club Officers have a chance to attend them. Thank you to everyone who has already attended, to those who could not, don’t worry! Fall RTCs are right around the corner! These conferences provide work-

shops to help you become an effective leader. You also need to attend at least one RTC to be a distinguished officer. These are the dates and location of fall RTCs: Sunday, Sept. 17th @ Montville High School Saturday, Sept. 16th @ Millville High School Sunday, Sept. 24th @ Arthur L. Johnson High School

Fall Rally

Are you wondering what Fall Rally is? Well, Fall Rally is the largest gathering of Key Clubbers in the entire world and it is right here is New Jersey! It attracts over 3,000 Key Club members! This year’s theme is Monopoly! It will be held once again at Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, New Jersey on October 8th, 2017. Please text or email me a picture of a gnome if you have read this far. Waking up early to serve Key Club and your community, you will be able to meet other Key Clubbers at this rewarding experience. This event allows you to learn more about Key Club and enjoy

the rest of the day with your friends, on rides, walking around, eating, or just having fun right after. Going to this event gives you a huge discount at Six Flags. For early registration, which needs to be postmarked by September 22nd, it costs $39. Late registration, which ends on October 8th, costs $44. If you have a season pass, then Fall Rally is only $7! Not only do you get early admission into the park, but you also can stay and partake in the festivities of Fright Fest! You will learn more about our new advocacy focus if you were not in one of the Spring or Fall Regional Training Conferences. Other than that, you also get to hear more about our dues, different events, and more about our District. If your division is loud and lucky, you will win the spirit stick. You can also donate cans of food for the New Jersey Federation of Food Banks, which will also be supporting our district project for the year. At this time, your Key Club should start fundraising if money is the problem. Not only for the tickets, but also for transportation. Don’t forget that this day is filled with fun, and get ready to see what your New Jersey District Board has pre pared for you. We will make sure to make this day an unforgettable one!

Key Leader Key Leader is a Kiwanis sponsored program that teaches leadership skills to students in grades 9-12 and is open to both key clubbers and non-key clubbers alike. This weekend retreat is a great chance to meet everyone from all over the district, learn what it means to be a servant leader and participate in team building activities all while having fun! This year, Key Leader will be held at Baptist Camp Lebanon in Lebanon, NJ from December 1st to 3rd. This also happens to be on my birthday and I cannot think of any better way to celebrate than to be with my fellow Key Clubbers! The weekend will cost $215 which includes all expenses and Key

Clubbers can receive a discount on this price for early registration. Those who have attended in the past can apply to be student facilitators, and will receive a further discount, as well as the privilege of leading their peers. Registration is open at Key-Leader.org and be sure to select Baptist Camp Lebanon. We encourage everyone to consider attending this beautifully orchestrated event. We hope to see you in December!
