Cronfa Allgáu Digidol
Rydym hefyd wedi llwyddo yn ein cais am gyllid gan Lywodraeth Cymru i gefnogi dysgwyr ar Hyfforddeiaethau a Phrentisiaethau ar draws ACT, yn ogystal â phartneriaid cyflenwi sydd wedi'u 'hallgáu'n ddigidol' - i gael mynediad at ddyfais, cysylltedd neu feddalwedd cymorth arbenigol. Rydym wedi sicrhau £470,000 i gaffael dyfeisiau a meddalwedd i fynd i'r afael â'r gwaharddiadau hyn a galluogi ein dysgwyr i gael mynediad cyfartal i ddarpariaeth a gwasanaethau dysgu cyfunol. Bydd ACT a phartneriaid cyflwyno yn rhoi'r canlynol i ddysgwyr: • Chromebooks • Gliniaduron • Dyfeisiau 4G • Tabledi Android • Meddalwedd arbenigol e.e. testun i leferydd. Byddwn yn darparu cyfanswm o dros 700 o ddyfeisiau a 250 o becynnau meddalwedd i ddysgwyr sydd wedi'u hallgáu'n ddigidol ar draws ACT a phartneriaid cyflwyno.
Mae dros 350 o ddyfeisiau wedi'u caffael a'u dosbarthu hyd yma. Rydym wedi bod yn cyflwyno'r achos dros y cyllid hwn ers misoedd, felly rydym wrth ein bodd ein bod bellach mewn sefyllfa i ddarparu lefelau uwch fyth o gymorth i'n dysgwyr!
Digital Exclusion Fund
We have also been successful in our application for Welsh Government funding to support learners on Traineeships and Apprenticeships across ACT, as well as delivery partners who are 'digitally excluded' - to access a device, connectivity or specialised support software. We have secured £470,000 to procure devices and software to address these exclusions and enable our learners to have equal access to blended learning delivery and services. ACT and delivery partners will be providing learners with: • Chromebooks • Laptops • 4G devices • Android tablets • Specialised software e.g. text to speech In total we will be providing over 700 devices and 250 software packages to digitally excluded learners across ACT and delivery partners. Over 350 devices have been procured and distributed to date. We have been making the case for this funding for months, so we are delighted we are now in a position to provide even greater levels of support for our learners!
Cymorth Cymraeg
Rydym yn hynod falch o rannu bod un o'n dysgwyr Gofal Hyfforddeiaeth, Alisha Lane, wedi llwyddo i ddechrau ei Phrentisiaeth Lefel 2 mewn Gofal Plant gyda Meithrinfa Enfys Hapus, yn dilyn cefnogaeth Gymraeg yn ACT. Yn ystod ei hamser ar y rhaglen Hyfforddeiaeth, roedd Tiwtor Gofal Alisha, Kirsty Keane, yn sicrhau bod holl lyfrau gwaith a thaflenni gwaith Alisha yn cael eu cyfieithu i'r Gymraeg, yn ogystal â rhoi gwerslyfrau Cymraeg iddi hefyd. Rhoddwyd adborth dwyieithog i Alisha hefyd ar ei gwaith ac roedd yn cyfarfod yn rheolaidd â'n Rheolwr Datblygu Cymru, Non Wilshaw, i fynd dros y cynnwys a ddysgwyd yn y dosbarth a gwirio dealltwriaeth y dysgwr. Wrth siarad am y gefnogaeth a gafodd, dywedodd Alisha, “Fe wnes i fwynhau dysgu yn ACT yn fawr. Rhoddodd fy mhrofiad y wybodaeth yr oedd ei hangen arnaf ac mae wedi fy helpu ar fy Mhrentisiaeth. Roeddwn i'n gallu gorffen fy nghymhwyster Gofal Plant Lefel 1 drwy gyfrwng y Gymraeg ac fe wnaeth hyn fy helpu i gael cyfweliad ar gyfer Prentisiaeth Lefel 2 mewn Meithrinfa Gymraeg yng Nghaerdydd. Yna cefais y swydd!” Llongyfarchiadau mawr i Alisha a diolch yn fawr i Kirsty Keane a Non Wilshaw am yr holl gefnogaeth a ddarparwyd ganddynt!
Welsh Support
We are incredibly proud to share that one of our Traineeship Care learners, Alisha Lane has successfully gone on to start her Level 2 Apprenticeship in Childcare with Enfys Hapus Nursery, following Welsh support at ACT. During her time on the Traineeship programme, Alisha’s Care Tutor, Kirsty Keane ensured that all of Alisha’s workbooks and worksheets were translated into Welsh, in addition to supplying her with Welsh textbooks too. Alisha was also provided with bilingual feedback on her work and regularly met with our Welsh Development Manager, Non Wilshaw, to go over content learnt in class and check learner comprehension. Speaking about the support she received, Alisha commented, “I really enjoyed learning at ACT. My experience gave me the knowledge I needed and has helped me onto my Apprenticeship. I was able to finish my Level 1 Childcare qualification through the medium of Welsh and this helped me get an interview for a Level 2 Apprenticeship in a Welsh speaking Nursery in Cardiff. I then got the job!”
A huge congratulations to Alisha and a big thank you to Kirsty Keane and Non Wilshaw for all the support they provided!
Rownd Derfynol Dysgwr y Flwyddyn Concept Hairdressing & Barbering Rownd enfawr o gymeradwyaeth i'r dysgwyr Dylan Roach, Alex Stevens a Connor Walkley (sy'n astudio Gwaith Barbwr Lefel 2 a 3) sydd wedi llwyddo i gyrraedd rowndiau terfynol cystadleuaeth Dysgwr y Flwyddyn Concept Hairdressing & Barbering. Da iawn hefyd i Kathryn Robst, Tiwtor/Asesydd Gwaith Barbwr a Thrin Gwallt, sydd er gwaethaf dechrau gydag ACT ym mis Medi yn unig, wedi bod yn gwneud gwaith gwych o gefnogi ein dysgwyr. Er na ddewiswyd y beirniad unrhyw un o'n dysgwyr fel enillwyr ar noson y gwobrau rhithwir, rydym yn hynod falch ohonynt am fod ar y rhestr fer. Rydych chi i gyd yn enillwyr i ni!
An enormous round of applause to learners Dylan Roach, Alex Stevens and Connor Walkley (studying Level 2 and 3 Barbering) who successfully made it to the finals of the Concept Hair and Barbering Learner of the Year 2021 competition. A huge well done also to Kathryn Robst, Barbering & Hairdressing Tutor/Assessor, who despite only starting with ACT in September, has been doing a fantastic job of supporting our learners. Although none of our learners were selected as winners on the night of the virtual awards, we are extremely proud of them for being shortlisted. You are all still winners in our eyes!

Llongyfarchiadau enfawr i Melanie Lloyd, Tiwtor Cyflogaeth (Gofal) a gyhoeddwyd fel cyd-enillydd yn y Categori Addysg Bellach yng Ngwobrau Ysbrydoli 2021. Ni fydd enillwyr y gwobrau yn cael eu cyhoeddi tan noson y seremoni wobrwyo yn ddiweddarach eleni. Felly os gwelwch yn dda, tan hynny, cadwch y newyddion hyn dan embargo (dim cyfryngau cymdeithasol, gwefan, ac ati). Llongyfarchiadau enfawr ichi Melanie gan bawb yn ACT.

Prentis-iaith
Mae bron i 18 mis wedi mynd heibio ers cyflwyno Prentis-iaith i'n dysgwyr Prentisiaeth ac mae ymhell dros 700 o ddysgwyr wedi cwblhau'r cwrs. Erbyn hyn mae wedi'i ymestyn i'n dysgwyr hyfforddeiaeth hefyd. Mae'r adborth wedi bod yn gadarnhaol iawn gyda dysgwyr yn mwynhau datblygu eu sgiliau Cymraeg. Dyma oedd gan un dysgwr i'w ddweud "Fe wnes i fwynhau'r cwrs Cymraeg hwn yn fawr. Roeddwn mor hapus i ddarganfod ei fod yn rhan o'm cwrs prentisiaeth Cyfrifeg gan fy mod wedi bod eisiau'r cyfle i ddysgu Cymraeg ers tro bellach. Roedd y tasgau'n gymharol hawdd ac roedd hynny'n gwneud i mi deimlo'n fwy hyderus yn fy ngallu, er nad oeddwn erioed wedi dysgu Cymraeg o'r blaen! Roedd y gweithgareddau'n hwyl ac unwaith y dechreuais roeddwn i eisiau eu cwblhau i gyd. Roeddwn hefyd yn hoff iawn o'r ffordd rydych chi'n cael eich profi ar ôl y modiwl i weld faint sydd wedi mynd i mewn. Yn fwyaf aml, cefais bob cwestiwn ond un yn iawn a oedd yn rhyfeddol i mi a phrofi i mi fod y cwrs yn gweithio'n dda i mi a fy mod wedi dysgu ohono! Ar y cyfan roedd yn gwrs gwych - wedi'i lunio'n dda ac fe wnes i fwynhau ei gwblhau'n fawr!" Mae Prentis-iaith 2 bellach yn cael ei ddatblygu felly gwyliwch allan amdano! It has been nearly 18 months since Prentis-iaith was rolled out to our Apprenticeship learners and well over 700 learners have completed the course. It has now been extended to our Traineeship learners too. Feedback has been very positive with learners enjoying the opportunity to develop their Welsh language skills. This is what one learner had to say “I really enjoyed this Welsh language course. I was so happy to find out that it was part of my Accounting Apprenticeship course as I have wanted the chance to learn Welsh for a while now. I found the tasks relatively easy and that made me feel more confident in my ability, despite never having learnt Welsh before! I found the activities fun and once I started I just wanted to complete them all. I also really liked the way you are tested after the module to see how much has sunk in. Most frequently I got all but one question right which I found amazing and proved to me that the course set up worked well for me and I actually did learn from it! Overall it was a brilliant course - well put together and I thoroughly enjoyed completing it!” Prentis-iaith 2 is now in development so watch this space!
