FAQ'S EXAM SEASON

Welcome to FCSH!

Certainly, you already have some idea of what awaits you, but it is natural that doubts will arise in the future. So that you don't get caught off guard, we have compiled a list of frequently asked questions. Many of our answers have been tested by experience ...

(But be careful! COVID-19 can lead to changes.)

Is there a minimum grade required to take a subject’s appeal exam?

Yes, you are required to have at least 8 in your final grade. If you have less than 8, you fail the subject and you can´t do the appeal exam. However, if you have 8 or 9 by the end of the semester, you are automatically enrolled in the appeal exam.

If I get a lower grade in the improvement exam than what I got previously in the final assessment, what happens?

Nothing, don't worry! The best grade is always the one that counts, so you will keep your assessment grade.

What’s the difference between appeal and improvement exams?

The exam that a student takes when they have failed a subject (with 8 or 9) is called an appeal exam, and the grade they get is definitive. On the other hand, students

subject which they have already passed (with a minimum grade of 9.5): you need to register for improvent exams on Inforestudante and pay a fee of 15

€.

Although

the definitions differ, the appeal and improvement exams are usually the same.

It's only the situation in which the student takes them that varies.

Is there a limit on the number of subjects to which you can take an appeal/improvement exam? And if the improvement exam score goes up, will the 15 € registration fee be refunded?

There is no limit to appeal or improvement exams, nor a refund for the latter’s registration fee.

PORTUGUESE AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE

FCSH has been organizing Portuguese Language Courses for foreigners since 1997.These courses are intended for foreigners who aim to learn or improve their knowledge of the Portuguese language.

There are several course options: from Semester Courses, to Mini intensive courses (30h) and Individual classes! There is certainly an option for you, you just have to make sure that you do not miss any deadline!

Testimonials ILNOVA, Curricular Internship, Curricular Volunteering ILNOVA Being able to understand and communicate in more than one language is a capacity that never loses value and opens us to a new world of contents, relationships and even entertainment. For example, in my first year of graduation, I came across some challenges that I did not expect, among them the question of the intelligibility of certain works and bibliography, only available in the original languages. It was then, out of academic interest but also personal pleasure, that I decided to join ILNOVA and improve my French level (to begin with). The experience was very positive, both because of the personalized learning experience and the effective response to the pandemic, as well as for the close support of teachers and the relationships created in class. Choose one of the "thousand" languages that ILNOVA offers you and venture out, you will not regret it.

Curricular Internship I had the opportunity to do an internship in my second year of graduation, at the Arquivo Histórico Ultramarino, an institution that aroused my interest because I considered it important for my personal training in the area of History and Archival. Students looking to undertake an internship may ask for help from a teacher to find an institution or make that contact directly with the place where they would like to work.

Over the course of three months, I completed the mandatory 64 hours and worked with documentation corresponding to the General Government of Angola (ordering folders, assigning quotas and describing them with the formal elements proposed by the Archive), and I felt that I was able to apply the theoretical teachings that I had absorbed in class, while simultaneously developing new skills of a more practical nature.

However, despite recognizing the importance of carrying out internships for the training and integration of students in the workplace, it is imperative to produce a critical analysis of all that this experience implies: the overwhelming majority (not to say totality) of these internships are not paid and often traveling, equipment and food expenditures are not covered by the institution or by the State, though they should guarantee conditions and opportunities for the specialization of students and their insertion in the labor market.This lack of interest in financing the provision of services to students is connected to an attitude that promotes free labor exploitation and participates in a devaluation of the figure of the intern, victim of a system that asks him to pay to work. Thus, and although, once again, I consider it extremely important that each student has the possibility of adding a practical component to their education, it should not be at the expense of normalizing free work and abusive use of the student. We find ourselves, then, in a position where we do not want to be feeding this permissive cycle of exploration and submission to precarious conditions while, at the same time, we are aware of the tools that we can acquire in these places and of their importance for our professional future.

Curricular Volunteering The Reading Volunteering, coordinated by Prof. Drª Isabel Alçada, consisted of helping, encouraging and promoting the taste and the creation of reading habits among children who attend the 1st cycle of Basic Education. Three weeks after it started, it was necessary to change and adapt the project to the new reality that in March changed our lives (COVID-19). I was responsible for Marta, a 9 year old girl, shy and fun. Watching our relationship grow, session after session, was highly rewarding.

Once the main task was finished - reading a book of her choice or mine, appropriate to her age - Marta and I would talk; she wondered what books I liked to read, if I had brothers, what I wanted to be! One day, she picked up her cellphone and ran to her room to show me the toy she had brought from London, and she spent a lot of time talking about it. This closeness, this trust and affection, will always, always, be the best part of volunteering. Moments like this were recurring in my first three weeks of face-to-face volunteering: a girl asked us to read a book that went over different dances and dance steps, and better, she wanted us to imitate them! Conclusion: there we were both dancing ballet step by step in the middle of the school library!

Although working with children is the main focus, volunteers also take classes with Professor Isabel Alçada, where they reflect on literacy, public policies to promote reading and learning to read. It is on these themes that the volunteer occasionally has to carry out small tasks. In the end, you are asked for a report on all the activity you have developed, both in theory and in practice. But don't let the assignments scare you! It is worth exchanging a discipline for this volunteering, where you give so much and receive the same or more.

FCSH 101 SAFETY NORMS FOR COVID-19 It is indispensable to carefully read the measures taken by NOVA FCSH, in face of the COVID-19 pandemic, in particular the contingency plan; the security recommendations (general, for students and for teachers) as well as to check the schedules and service contacts. Moving Around on Campus:

Using the elevators is conditioned to one person at a time (giving priority to those with reduced mobility; pregnant ladies; elderly people, or anyone carrying heavy items); Using the stairs on Tower B is done so by following the indications with arrows (right to go up and left to go own); You should avoid overcrowding the hallways, going to class only on time, and not prior; Inside the classrooms, only the designated seas are to be occupied.

FCSH 101 SAFETY NORMS FOR COVID-19 Services: The services of NOVA FCSH (Avenida de Berna and Colégio Almada Negreiros) are closed for now, except for the library and canteen services that you can use on appointment.

As FCSH staff isn´t on campus you should always try to reach the academic services by e-mail.

When you enroll at FCSH, you will receive your student number which will be your main tool of identification and access to the various services provided by the faculty.

The internet used at FCSH became eduroam, used by many other universities. Whether on the computer or on the mobile phone, just login with your FCSH ID credentials (institutional email + password).

STUDENT CARD

Your FCSH student card - which you can have associated with a bank account through Santander, if you wish - can be loaded with the amount you want to make photocopies and scans at Nova Copy and the Library.

The Biblical University Group is a Christian association that aims to reflect, live and communicate the message of Jesus Christ in higher education in Portugal. We aim to develop a biblical thought applied to the contemporary world and to assume its diffusion. With a strong connection to the University Pastoral of the Diocese of Lisbon, NEC aims to create a cohesive group of young university students oriented towards the values of sharing and the spirit of mission. To live God on a daily basis, NEC promotes moments of prayer (rosaries, prayer nights and masses), sharing and discussion on various topics, contributing to the personal development of all its members. Alongside these activities, there are moments of animation and social action, with an emphasis on the “Missão País” projects and the solidarity vacation camp “Cetáceos”, created in 2017 by NEC members. Cigarros de Mentol CATARINA PIMENTEL NETO

Acordou atrasado. Não é que tivesse horas para estar nalgum lado ou horário a cumprir, mas estava atrasado no dia, já perdera a manhã e, como há muitas semanas, não havia pequeno, só almoço.

De repente estava no teatro, se alguém lhe perguntasse como tinha chegado ali teria dificuldade em jurar resposta, tinha saído de casa, posto os fones, e o caminho até ao comboio, a troca para o metro, os passos e as esperas das passadeiras eram já tão mecânicos. A soundtrack conduzia a mente em fugas do real e o corpo lá se conduzia sozinho até aos compromissos com a realidade.

Entrou no teatro, cumprimentou o porteiro com um aceno e um movimento de boca de como quem diz bom dia, mas sem sair nenhum som. Foi pelos corredores despidos que levam até às salas de ensaio, entrou numa que era toda espelhada numa das faces e que num dos cantos da face oposta tinha um piano, que parecia ainda mais preto em contraste com o castanho escuro do resto da sala.

Sentou-se ao piano, caneta aberta, folhas em branco, só com as linhas de pauta, que a pareciam fazer ainda mais vazia, por serem estranhas assim nuas de chaves e notas. Nada.

Ajeitou o banco, as luzes, endireitou as folhas, pegou na caneta, esticou as costas. Nada.Pegou no casaco que tinha deixado no bengaleiro, apalpou-o, tirou o maço, o isqueiro e uns trocos para o café. Uma pausa, uma pausa havia de pôr a cabeça a mexer, depois ia ser o resto do dia, de seguida, pensava para si próprio enquanto a máquina da entrada chiava e suava vapores para tirar um café que, com tanto sinal de esforço, se esperava melhor do que realmente é.

Pegou no copo de papel e foi encostar-se à parede exterior do teatro, bebericava o café que tinha de quente o que tinha de mau, e pensava como se tentava enganar até a ele mesmo Pausa, que pausa? Acordaste há 1h, olhaste para o trabalho à espera que ele te dissesse o que tinhas de fazer, percebeste que não sabias o que estavas a fazer e fugiste. Chama as coisas pelos nomes, isto é uma fuga! compor fugas…Que belo músico este que anda na fuga da composição em vez de a compor fugas…

O café acabou, olhou para o maço e escolheu o único cigarro que tinha.

Cada dia que passava sentia mais que iam descobrir que era uma fraude, que iam perceber que as análises e relatórios tão elogiados, as interpretações tão bem cotadas, as conversas tão elucidadas tinham sido meros acasos, tinham sido momentos de iluminação, tinham sido consequência de orientações, sem as quais não saberia para onde se virar. Era uma fraude, e vinham tirar-lhe o diploma do conservatório, retirar-lhe os louvores e os aplausos, vinham dizer-lhe que os professores e as professoras se tinham enganado e não deviam ter estado à espera de grandes coisas dele, vinham dizer-lhe que já não podia ser músico e que lhe era pedido que não tocasse em mais uma tecla que fosse.

Deu mais um bafo. Não podia ser, ninguém podia saber, quem sabe podia viver uma vida inteira a passar-se por capaz? A dançar entre conversas e falar só quando dominasse o assunto, a compor o suficiente para parecer que sabia muito mais quando aquilo era tudo o que tinha para dar, a dominar uma parte de tal forma que não lhe fosse exigido saber mais nada, assim poderia sentir o peso esmagador da sua ignorância sozinho, um dia haveria de morrer e ninguém tinha como saber que

tinha fingido a vida inteira.

Um ruído impositivo interrompeu-lhe o pensamento.

Era um camião do lixo, fora de horas, nunca tinha visto um fazer uma ronda de dia, talvez por isso nunca tivesse estado tanto tempo a olhar para uma recolha de lixo.

Depois da surpresa que este evento lhe causou, simplesmente por acontecer fora do horário habitual, começou a admirar o trabalho daqueles homens. Ali, a olhá-los deu por si a invejá-los. Riu-se sozinho, num sorriso repuxado para a esquerda e com o cigarro ainda entre os lábios, tinham-lhe oferecido o trabalho com que sempre sonhara e ele estava ali parado a cobiçar a vida dos recolhedores de lixo.

De repente os recolhedores estavam como que num segundo plano, desfocados, pelos olhos que perceberam que a mente já não estava preocupada com a imagem, e que ele fixava um ponto que não saberia nomear se o inquirissem.

A vida dele podia ser assim, como a daqueles homens. Uma hora para acordar, para entrar e sair ao trabalho, para jantar em família, para adormecer e as mesmas horas para fazer o mesmo no dia seguinte. Apostava que os recolhedores de lixo não levavam o trabalho no pensamento quando saiam, acabava a hora e eram livres de pensar o que quisessem, o trabalho só os incomodaria quando chegasse novamente a hora dele e não tomava a vez da hora da família, do jantar, da televisão, do sono. Sentia-se capaz de dar tudo naquele momento por um trabalho de picar o ponto, das nove às cinco, um trabalho que fosse um sustento e não uma vocação, um trabalho de que quisesse fugir, e a que fugia ao fim de cada dia, em cada folga.

Outra fuga, desta só pensada.

Voltou para dentro e sentou-se ao piano, marreco e sem ter em mente as insistentes correcções de postura que o faziam, por reflexo, endireitar-se sempre que via o instrumento. Olhou outra vez para aquelas

aquelas folhas, ainda não tinha nada para lhes dizer, talvez não tivesse de ser ele a começar a conversa… Tirou da pasta uma folhas gastas, a que endireitou as pontas que começavam a dobrar, num gesto que se assemelhava a uma carícia. Colocou-as no suporte e admirou-as por uns segundos antes de começar a tocar. Mal os seus dedos se aperceberam de que melodia se tratava começaram a dançar sem precisar de verificar as notas, conheciam aquele ritmo, sabiam qual era o próximo passo, eram com as teclas como um casal de muitos anos, que, desde a primeira valsa no copo-de-água até aí, dançavam sempre que a música que tinham tomado como sua passava. A partitura estava ali para ele olhar para ela, não a seguia, mas gostava de a ver, e ali ficava a contemplá-la enquanto os dedos a diziam.

Não sabia se este amor ia ser a sua morte ou a sua alegria, mas sabia por certo que lhe era completamente fiel, que aquele desejo que tivera ao sabor do cigarro era a sua fraqueza a pedir-lhe que lhe fosse fiel a ela, prometendo-lhe que com a resignação viria o descanso que um coração atribulado por uma paixão nunca poderá ter.

Fosse esta a primeira vez que fazia esta oferta a si próprio e talvez tivesse cedido, mas estava calejado, já tinha considerado abrandar este amor, moldá-lo à sua medida, uma que coubesse nos seus receios. Ainda estava no conservatório quando começou a escrever jingles para uma agência publicitária, tinha conseguido o lugar com a ajuda de um amigo que lá andava para, como ele dizia, fazer uns trocos fáceis e ajudar com as despesas dos estudos. Nenhum deles sonhava com aquilo, mas, precisando de trabalhar, sempre era música.

Quando acabou o curso quis sair, queria fazer música e não usá-la para vender, sabia-o com toda a certeza, mas conseguia ouvir ecoar na sua cabeça as incertezas que isso trazia. A certa altura não sabia se o assustava mais a ideia de não conseguir ganhar a vida como músico, ou o compromisso que seria viver de uma paixão, a que teria de se entregar totalmente, sem hora de saída ou de entrada, que ocuparia a hora da família, do jantar, da televisão, do sono, e a que a sua mente não fugiria em folgas ou fins-desemana. Por fim fez o que se faz quando se ama, sem nenhuma garantia de retorno, de sucesso ou de felicidade, entregou-se como um todo sem saber se a sua totalidade chegava.

Não tenho nada para te dar hoje, suspirou como se se dirigisse ao piano esperando o seu perdão, como se tivesse desiludido o seu amor. E como se de um grande amor se tratasse, amanhã lá estariam, todas as teclas no mesmo lugar, à espera do que ele tivesse para lhe entregar.

Desceu a rua, luminosa como só de noite, nenhum sol poderia competir com os leds que chamavam todos a não deixar o dia terminar, que os convidavam para cada café, cada boate, cada espectáculo disponível. Iluminado também ele, ia distraído, com os olhos nas estrelas, de néon, até que ouviu uma música tão calma que não parecia bater certo ali.

Olhou para baixo, este concerto não tinha placa iluminada a marcar o lugar, era só um sem-abrigo e a harmónica que beijava. Tocavam uma daquelas músicas que conheceu jovem, mas que não eram da sua juventude, era de outras, mais antigas, mas que mal a ouvira sentira um enamoramento, como quando se vê uma mulher bonita com quem se conversa a noite toda e nos sabemos apaixonados, sem mesmo saber que vida vive para além daquele lugar e daquela conversa.

De repente a mulher bonita esvaneceu-se e a sua mente era mais um daqueles outdoors, onde se reproduzia o anúncio de cigarros que pedira emprestada a melodia para informar os compradores que agora pode ter o prazer do costume com um toque de menta.

Piscou os olhos, como se a memória do ecrã publicitário o encandeasse e cerrou os dentes enquanto inspirava fundo. Era tudo, tinham comprado tudo, até aquela melodia que descobrira a pouco e pouco, cada vez mais profundamente, cada vez mais envolvido, até ser tão sua que se a cantasse todos acreditariam que a tinha escrito ainda antes de nascer, e que agora o lembrava de cigarros de mentol. Queria pegar nos trocos que tinha no bolso e atirá-los ao semabrigo para que parasse de tocar, queria proibir aquele anúncio de passar mais, queria que mais nenhuma música bonita pudesse ser usada para vender fosse o que fosse.

Expirou, uns metros à sua frente estava um quiosque, sentiu os trocos nos bolsos, Um maço desses aí, apontou, Dos de mentol?, É. Tacteou o casaco à procura de lume, acendeu um cigarro, e assistiu àquele concerto. Bateu palmas, ainda com o cigarro entre os dedos, soprou um fumo mentolado, e deixou os trocos que não tinha deixado no quiosque no copo do artista.

O Velho Barbeiro FRANCISCO AZEVEDO

Há um velho barbeiro no fundo da minha rua, que faz a barba dos homens com um bisturi. Foi o barbeiro do meu pai e do pai dele e do pai dele, foi o barbeiro de todos os homens da minha família.

Será também barbeiro dos meus filhos e dos filhos deles e dos filhos deles, que ainda estão para nascer, como todos os filhos de todos os filhos que ainda estão para nascer. O velho barbeiro, de velho que é, na cara já só tem rugas, não se vê nariz, nem lábios, nem olhos. Há muitas gerações que não se lhe conhece a voz, que não se lhe conhece uma palavra, que todos os homens chegam a uma hora de um dia certos da semana, se sentam e saem de barba feita, muito bem feita, feita como noutro lado não se faz. Paga-se o que se tem a pagar, um preço que nunca disse a ninguém, que sempre se soube, assim como sempre se soube a que horas aparecer. Não há um homem à espera sentado (até porque na barbearia há apenas uma bancada com coisas da barba, a cadeira que é nossa por uns minutos e o barbeiro velho), nem há umhomem à espera à porta. Todos na aldeia sabiam a que hora ir, todos eram atendidos na hora, todos se despachavam à hora certa.

Ninguém sabia bem a idade do barbeiro, ninguém lhe perguntava por respeito, por temerem serem ignorados, por não saberem como falar dessas coisas de idade. Havia rumores de que tinha duzentos anos, havia rumores que era tão velho como o tempo, havia rumores de que os barbeiros iam mudando, mas o método não.

Hoje ninguém se dá a rumores, a fome é muita para nos pormos com conversetas sem sentido nem razão, que especular a vida dos outros é p’ra gente com dinheiro e tempo, e aqui na terra nós só temos tempo para trabalhar. Vamos lá, saímos lavados e limpos, não precisamos de falar

falar de quem faz o seu trabalho assim, impecavelmente.

De tempos a tempos, vinha gente da cidade para conhecer este misterioso barbeiro de anos e anos e anos, vinham para saber a sua idade, ou saber o seu segredo, vinham cá para incomodar um homem que só queria cortar barba, só queria cortar a barba das pessoas certas à hora certa. Os cães da aldeia, vadios, todos o eram, pois ninguém tinha dinheiro nem paciência para cães, afugentavam essa gente, mal os cheiravam no cimoda rua, mal lhes sentiam as águas de colónia e os perfumes caros, mal ouviam os pneus e os motores dos carros e logo corriam para afugentar aquela gente cusca, que procurava fazer uma história, às custas da vida pobre de um homem, de uma aldeia.

O meu pai, deus o tenha, contava sempre a mesma história em dias de ir ao barbeiro. Naquele dia, enquanto púnhamos as ovelhas a pastar, auxiliados pelos vadios, ele começava a contar a sua história. Antes de o velho barbeiro nada havia por estes lados. Não havia sobreiros, não havia azinheiras, a cortiça não existia, as pessoas não existiam por isso. Não corria o rio que hoje serve de alimento às plantas que naquelas terras crescem e se fazem grandes e se fazem úteis, antes

antes não havia pasto e não havia pastores, nós, manueis, desde sempre pastores, desde sempre gente que guia as ovelhas, não havíamos nestas terras. Antes do barbeiro que é tão velho como o tempo, não havia cães vadios, não havia lavadeiras, não havia gentes endinheiradas com herdades, não havia cearas, não havia o calor abrasador do verão, nem o frio frio do inverno.

Antes do barbeiro que se dizia ter duzentos anos de velhice, não havia o que quer que fosse por aquelas terras. As arvores só cresceram depois do barbeiro se instalar, o rio só por ali começou a passar nessa altura, os animais e as gentes só chegaram já o velho barbeiro tinha a sua barbearia montada, uma bancada para as coisas da barba, uma cadeira que era dos homens por uns minutos.

O meu pai contava esta história sorrindo, era uma trapaça qualquer que mistificava a idade do velho barbeiro. Nenhum homem podia ser mais velho que os rios e os sobreiros, que nós, os manueis pastores, que as lavadeiras, que os cães vadios, e as cearas e as herdades. Nenhum barbeiro poderia ter todo aquele poder; nem os reis tinham esse poder, dizia-lhe eu, ofendido por o meu pai me querer passar a perna, me gozar daquela forma.

Meu pai sorria, não me gozava, dizia que um dia perceberia. Assobiava e depois de guardas as ovelhas no lugar delas, ia ao barbeiro feliz. Eu ia para casa, chateado, para alem de me gozar, faziame estúpido, que não o percebia por ser criança.

Desde que tenho uns pelitos mais escuros debaixo do nariz, que vou ao barbeiro. Um dia acordei, sabia que era o meu dia, e por volta das dezoito horas fui ao barbeiro. Era verão, o dia não morreria até quase às vinte e duas, então os homens ficavam na converseta a discutir a idade do barbeiro, no tasco. As mulheres tinhamno discutido durante o dia, enquanto lavavam a roupa dos ricos das herdades, enquanto lhes levavam as roupas lavadas e secas. Eu fui ao barbeiro, tinha no bolso as moedas certas, senteime, o velho deitou-me a toalha branca sobre a roupa, apertou-a no pescoço e pôs uma toalha pequena e dobrada no meu ombro direito, espuma

espuma na cara toda, embora só tivesse pelos no bigode, com o bisturi tirou a espuma, o bigode.

Não disse nada, não perguntei nada, não precisei.

Ele fez uma vénia, não precisou de me mostrar nenhum espelho, sabia que estava com a cara perfeita, e ainda de costas curvadas ele esticou o braço, sem levantar a cabeça, recebeu as poucas moedas que lhe havia colocado nas mãos. Ainda hoje é assim.

Nunca cortou ninguém, nunca faz mal uma barba, não se sabe o porquê de usar um bisturi, não se sabe o porquê do que quer que fosse. Vamos ao barbeiro à hora certa no dia certo, porque é hábito, não há uma razão, além do hábito. Acordávamos um dia e sabíamos que era o primeiro dia de ir ao barbeiro, todas as semanas do resto das nossasvidas, naquele dia da semana, vamos ao barbeiro, como as ovelhas vão ao mais verde dos pastos, como os cães vadios vão aos lixos rezar a sua sorte, como o rio corre o seu curso.

Todas as gentes são importantes, todas as pessoas têm o seu valor e o seu poder. Eu posso ser apenas o manuel pastor, filho de manuel pastor, neto de manuel pasto, e pai de manuel pastor, mas sem a minha pessoa, sem meu pai, sem meu avô, e sem meu filho, não haveria ovelhas a que tirar o leite dos tetos, a que tosquiar a lã da pele branca das ovelhas brancas e da pele negra das ovelhas negras; sem as lavadeiras, sem as mulheres e as mães, sem as mulheres e as filhas, não haveria as roupas lavadas dos ricos, não haveria ricos; sem o barbeiro, não haveria o rio e os sobreiros e azinheiras e não haveria os pastos e os pastores, as lavadeiras e os ricos. Sem esta gente toda, nada haveria, e o velho barbeiro, cuja idade nos foge a todos, o velho barbeiro que tem a idade do tempo, o velho que corta a barba a todos os homens com um bisturi, uma vez por semana, a dia certo, a hora certa, durante toda a vida desses homens, se esse velho barbeiro não existisse, nada aqui existiria, nada aqui à volta existiria, nada existiria.

Síndrome do Impostor CATARINA VALADA

Talvez um dia tenha corrido por campos abertos, sem nada se não um sorriso. As memórias emergem de quando em vez, de tempos em que a abençoada ignorância me embalava no seu colo. Não sei até que ponto somente as imagino. Sei lá se as flores das minhas recordações são espasmos involuntários da mente que corre a mil à hora. E que mente outros tantos. E como caio eu na mentira do passado solarengo que não sei se tive.

Como me bato e rebato sobre quem não sei se fui e quem podia ter sido não fosse perder o rumo sem ter dado conta.

Perdi quem sou como quem deixa as chaves de casa no comboio. Já passou. É inútil correr, é inútil chorar. E inerte fico na plataforma pois me convenci de não há para onde ir. Pois me inebriei no vitimismo de quem nunca faz, somente lhe acontece. Como pesa nos ombros a vida de quem não tem culpa de nada. E enquanto escrevo a narrativa do desfortúnio, o tempo passa. E o brilho de outros tempos, eclipsado, enquanto espreitava o mundo cheio de nada do outro lado da rua.

Sei lá se me levaram o entusiasmo ou se eu própria lhe dediquei o cortejo fúnebre do cansaço. De quem é a culpa se sou eu que pinto quadros a duas cores, negro e escuro? Se sou eu a dar o primeiro dos vinte e um tiros em nome de quem podia eu ter sido? Sou eu que uivo feita carpideira, debruçada no meu próprio caixão.

Fui eu que escondi a chave dos meus próprios grilhões e choro a mágoa de quem vê o céu recortado. Sei lá se me habituei à gaiola pelo comer que chega a horas certas. Sei lá se foi homicídio o que pratiquem contra mim mesma sem perceber a faca na minha própria mão.

Ou sei lá se cometo difamação premeditada, protestando que não sou quem nunca sequer podia ter sido. Ou que sou sem dar por isso, pois queimo os olhos a fitar o sol, à espera que volte o eclipse que pode nem sequer ter acontecido, enquanto há um mundo do outro lado da rua. Sei lá, não vi. É a lata de quem tem o que os outros não têm, faz o que os outros não fazem e prega aos sete ventos a titânica desgraça em que não vive. Sou eu, a Hipocrisia, por medo, terror ou fobia, escolhe tu. Talvez jogue às escondidas com quem podia ter sido, temerosa por não lhe chegar aos calcanhares. E afasto-a de mim, fingindo ignorância. É mais fácil varrer inconvenientes para debaixo do tapete.

Cá estou eu, impostora, dona e senhora da minha teatral mentira, sem mais nada a que chamar de meu. E agora digo este monólogo, sozinha, no palco que estas duas mãos enrugadas construíram e hoje tanta substância tem quanto o ar que falta a quem se engasga às portas da morte.

Sei lá. Deixa-me em paz. É a birra de quem não dorme desde que acordou para a vida.

Unfortunately, there is no way to bring your mother's specialities to Lisbon every weekend and frozen food already clogs the freezer’s drawer. But that laziness at the end of the day or the lack of patience for the elaborate cooking is natural for us young university students, who only think about the next job to be delivered or that party we really have to go to.

Advice: COVID-19 has spoiled many of our plans and daily habits. Thus, we have to take care of ourselves and you can start by choosing to eat well, keep healthy, avoid eating out (because your wallet can't handle it) and playing safe!

Here are two basic, quick and practical recipes for college students!

Vegetable Lasagna

INGREDIENTS: courgette, fresh mushrooms, carrots, leeks, aubergines, broccoli, cauliflower, ...

1.5 tablespoon of olive oil 2 garlic cloves 1 onion 1 dessert spoon of saltsome pepper 500 ml of béchamel (white) sauce 500 g of fresh pasta for lasagna

100 g of grated mozzarella cheese 100 g of grated parmesan cheese some oregano tomato pulp

P R E P A R A T I O N

1. While cooking the vegetables, preheat the oven to 180º C; 2. Wash and cut the vegetables into medium pieces; 3. Chop the onion and garlic and place them in a frying pan together with the oil and let it sauté; 4. Add the vegetables (first the hardest ones) to the pan, season with salt, pepper and oregano, and add the tomato pulp. Keep mixing and let it cook for 10 minutes, stirring constantly; 5. At the bottom of the tray, spread a bit of béchamel sauce, cover with fresh lasagna pasta and add the vegetables; 6. Repeat these steps and sequence two more times and cover the last layer of pasta with béchamel sauce; 7.Sprinkle with grated cheese and let it bake in the oven for 30 minutes, or until it gets golden and the cheese melts; 8. You can decorate at the end with a little basil, and voilá!

Chicken breast rolls with ham and cheese

INGREDIENTS: 2 dessert spoons of olive oil Salt Pepper Oregano White wine 2 chicken breasts Cheese Ham

P R E P A R A T I O N

1. Preheat the oven to 180º C ; 2. Lay the chicken breasts, seasoned with salt, pepper, oil, oregano and white wine; 3. Place a slice of cheese and a slice of ham on top of each of the chicken breasts and roll it up, skewering a toothpick to make it a consistent roll; 4. Spread a little oil on the base of the platter and arrange the chicken breasts in it; 5. Let it bake for 15 minutes; Follow up as you prefer, and you may replace the ham with spinach!
