It has up ended our “normal” day to day routine and may have knocked your confidence for six, we’ve put together ways you can boost your confidence whilst coming out of lockdown (page 16). Finally, we are not all in the same ‘BOAT’ but we are in the same ‘STORM’ we are all unique and managing the 'Storm' the best way we know how, some of us can swim, some of us sink and others are actually drowning - We never know what part of the storm anyone else is in - Be Kind, Be Humble and Don't Judge! First release of Executive Homes already Reserved at
Hayfield Oaks in Woburn Sands he first release of family homes at Hayfield’s most luxurious scheme to date has been snapped up in only four weeks since the launch, by people keen to secure their preferred home off-plan. Located in the historic small town of Woburn Sands within the Borough of Milton Keynes, the first homes at Hayfield Oaks will be ready to move into during the springtime.
T
Located off Newport Road, Hayfield Oaks comprises 37 Arts and Crafts styled four and five-bedroom houses, set amongst mature trees. Off-plan sales are currently being taken from a dedicated Sales Lounge that has been created at the sister development Hayfield Place in Silsoe, Bedfordshire, which is 12 miles away. A large interactive model of the new scheme is enabling interested parties to take a closer look at the development layout and various house designs. Prices for the current release range from £610,000 to £735,000. Kelly Sharman, Sales and Marketing Director of Hayfield
said: “We are delighted to have reserved the first seven family homes at this exclusive scheme, prior to a show home opening. Launching a new development during the third Covid-19 lockdown is no easy feat, but our experienced and imaginative team has brought the plans to life, both virtually and with socially distanced appointments. “The outstanding specification, Five Star Hayfield build quality, and the location of this development has really captured the imagination of our buyers. Avoiding formulas or templates, our multi award-winning approach takes its cue from the principles of exemplary residential design.”
Hayfield Oaks is only half a mile from Woburn Sands train station, which is appealing to those wishing to travel for work or pleasure. The quaint high street, quality amenities, excellent schooling and access to breathtaking countryside make the historic town one of the most desirable places to live in the region.

Hayfield Oaks’ seven unique house designs will be constructed in red brick, with render features and part-tiled hanging elevations. The collection of executive homes will feature a premium standard specification from the high level of luxury Hayfield has already become known for. Each bespoke kitchen will feature a vast range of builtin Neff appliances, as well as an instant hot tap and impressive bi-fold doors leading out to the private garden.
All homes will have underfloor heating throughout the ground floor, with the largest homes also benefitting from electric underfloor heating to the upstairs Laufen bathrooms and ensuites. Each dedicated study or smallest bedroom will feature sound-reducing construction to create the ideal work from home environment. Fitted wardrobes will be installed into the principal and second bedrooms. Other features include Minoli ceramic tiles, heritage bronze ironmongery, Farrow & Ball paint and Ring doorbells. The eight-acre scheme will be the most spacious in the area, as the development density is half the recommended level sought by Government. The family homes have been designed around a central play area with enhanced hard landscaping, conservation style block paving and an impressive feature entrance.

Adjusting Your Alignment While it might sound a bit like having the tracking on your car sorted, what and who we ‘align’ ourselves to can have a big impact on many different areas of our life. For the purposes of this article alignment means ‘a position of agreement or alliance’ as defined by Google. We might at New Year or the beginning of a new phase, make decisions that we will align ourselves to certain things, either specific values or goals and intentions, things we want to achieve, the way we want to live our life – but over time it’s easy for us to lose sight of some of those alignments.
If you feel like somehow things have got a bit out of alignment in your own life then here are a few ideas to get yourself back on track.
Getting out into nature Something about getting out into nature causes us all to pause a little and check where we are. Some times when near the ocean or surrounded by trees we may feel a sense of our own ‘insignificance’ and this can help us to adjust our alignment.
Let’s imagine someone values peace and helping people, it would be pretty hard for them to work selling guns etc – a far-fetched example but hopefully you get the idea.
Using all your senses Many people use grounding exercises to help with anxiety or other emotional ‘overwhelms’. It simply means using all your sense to ‘ground’ yourself. One popular exercise is to identify from wherever you are at the present moment 5 things you can see, 4 things you can hear, 3 things you can touch, 2 you can smell and 1 you can taste. You can change them around a bit, the important thing is to engage all the senses. This is a really helpful way to learn to be more ‘present’ as well. Being Present
Imagine if you are a person who thinks positivity is important then you will align yourself to positivity. But what does that mean in practical terms? It starts with you choosing, consciously on a day by day – sometimes even moment by moment - basis to focus on what is positive. That doesn’t mean negative things won’t happen, and obviously you can acknowledge those but choose, rather than concentrating on them, to concentrate, through gratitude for example, on the positive. Which in practical terms means thinking about what’s positive, talking about what’s positive not allowing your thoughts or talk to fill with all the negative ‘stuff’
Learn to dwell in alignment I’m using the word dwell to think about where we spend our time. If we want to live a life that is positive but spend a lot of our time surrounded by folk who are negative, or we take part ourselves in negative conversations, read stuff that makes us feel negative or persist in concentrating on the negative then surprise surprise, we’ll be aligning ourselves with negativity whether or not that was our intention. So, check out your intentions but then make a definite, clear decisions to ‘dwell’ in alignment with those intentions.
WE can think of different areas of alignment, some to do with our values, ethics and morals and others to do with what we actually think or do but of course they do both connect and just like when the cars tracking is out of alignment you will notice if aspects of your own life are out of alignment.
Many of us might have had times when we have started to do something or ‘signed up’ for something then felt that it didn’t feel right – probably because it wasn’t in alignment with our purpose. In fact, I would always say that listening to your intuition will tell you if a course of action is in alignment to your own personal vision and intentions.
In many ways what you align yourself to is what you will attract – your alignment will have an impact on the ‘energy’ and vibration you give out and usually you will attract more of the same. So, if your desire is to align with positivity yet you spend all day concentrating on the negative ‘stuff’ then whatever your aim negativity is what you are aligning yourself to.
In lives which are very busy it can be easy to find we have no time for reflection or simply to ‘be’ as most of our lives are involved in ‘doing’. To create a bit more balance setting aside some time to be present – connected to the moment is not only good for our emotional well-being and a great way to reduce stress it can also help us check our alignment.
Wherever you find yourself in life at the moment keep in mind that living in alignment to your values and purpose will make for a happier more fulfilled life. Why not visit the Facebook group All About You for more help and support on ways you can achieve a happy, balanced and fulfilled life?

Midlife Madness Trust me I am going to try very hard not to give away any of my very secret, secure passwords but suffice it to say that probably like many of you I base my passwords on my favourite or at least familiar things, why, well like you I suspect, it’s because they are things, we are likely to remember. So yes, Ive used addresses, birthdates, places I’ve been on holiday, because I have a fighting chance of remembering them. And of course, we have so very many to remember these days – almost everything I do on the internet requires a password! The problem is however that when I am asked by the internet higher authority, actually not asked at all ‘told’ in no uncertain terms to the point that I’m not allowed to continue until I comply, that I need to add capital letters, numbers or special characters then all hope of creating a password I can remember goes out the window or down the internet highway or whatever.
I can vividly remember a lovely holiday we had in Lanzarote so that was a common password as it made sense to me. Lanzarote99 might also make sense but when it becomes Lanza0te?99XJY it loses all meaning for me! And yes, I know I should make a note of it which I do – but then next time I go on somehow I mess it up end up resetting the blasted thing and YES I forget to make a note of it and on it goes. I also have several platforms I use regularly where I am not ‘allowed’ to use passwords or parts of passwords I have used before- which adds further angst to internet life.
Now on my phone it is different –as in a different set of issues – you see on my phone most apps remember
my log in, I might have set it to do that, I might not – frankly how on earth would I know, and it takes me straight to the’ business’! Unless my phone has recently updated itself or the app has updated, well then of course I’m back to having no idea what my password is? What I find highly amusing is when I have to ask for a password reset some providers send me a password that is Password or Welcome! Really? I know they expect me to reset it but I bet there are lots of folk who don’t – not me, obviously!
Of course, I moan about this – loudly to whoever is around! And I even feel justified in doing so – a problem shared is a problem halved! But I do always feel that they think someone that is having a problem with passwords is regarded as a person taking the first step on the road to madness. I remind them of all the ‘techie’ things I do I mean after all the reason I have such a lot of problems with passwords is because I use such a lot of ‘platforms’ surely that shows my techieness. The fact I have little patience with computer programmes telling me what to do seems entirely reasonable to me. But I’m not the only impatient person, out walking the other day with other half I had loads of phone calls not a problem as obviously I take my mobile with me – the problem seems to be that apparently, I am unable to walk and talk! He maintains walking stops when talking starts – I must say I think he is exaggerating – but he snaped a pic of me as he waited impatiently and I must confess there I was standing still! Is it just me or are others similarly unable to multitask in this way?

Ways to Boost your Confidence after Lockdown It may not feel like it, but an end to lockdown is slowly coming, so we need to be prepared. The pandemic has knocked a lot of us sideways and affected us in so many different ways. It has up ended our “normal” day to day routine and may have knocked your confidence for six.
inexpensive online courses available such as Udemy, Cousera, etc.
You are Still You! Take some time to visualise yourself pre-lockdown. The selfassured person who was able to walk into every business meeting with confidence, and who was totally at ease with entertaining friends or social gatherings. The person who would happily chat with anyone from the barista to the company CEO.
Self Confidence and Standing Tall Try standing tall, holding your head up high and I promise you, you’ll feel better. Look up and you feel instantly more positively and confident.
We’ve put together ways you can boost your confidence whilst coming out of lockdown.
Whatever you may feel now, trust that you are still that person.
Now visualise a time when you felt your most confident and at ease with yourself. What environment were you in? What were you doing? Who were you with? Try to identify the factors that contributed to the feeling of empowerment and see if you can recreate them as you gradually ease yourself back to your regular routine. Visualising is one of your most powerful tools. Try it every day for a couple of minutes.
Comparing Yourself with Others is Not Healthy Comparing yourself to others will only undermine your confidence and self-belief. I know this can be a very difficult habit to break, especially with social media giving us no shortage of opportunities to measure ourselves against other people, many of whom we’ve never even met. Have you ever gone on social media to connect with the outside world only to find it just drags you down seeing all those people with apparently perfect lives who’ve sailed through lockdown in a blur of creative or positive pursuits? And that then makes you feel like you’ve let yourself down?
Stop right there! Change your focus and shift your thought patterns to focus on what you already have and how lucky you are.
You Are Worth Investing In Investing in yourself is the best investment you’ll ever make. Learning new skills and expanding your knowledge can help boost your confidence. Even making small, positive changes can inspire you to try new things and get out of your comfort zone. Here are some “you “investment tips:
• Try taking a course to learn something new. There are lots of
• Invest in your health by taking regular exercise and eating nourishing food.
• Invest in your creative abilities by pursuing a new hobby such as playing an instrument, painting, gardening or cooking.
How something that seems insignificant can have such an immediate and positive effect on how you feel, I don’t know. But I promise it does!
Your posture and stance affect your mood and the way you feel, so try experimenting. If you find yourself feeling low, check your posture, raise your head and try and straighten your body. Because let’s face it, if you can change your outlook and boost your confidence just by doing that, holy cow! Let’s do it! Let’s do it every day! Try a Different Perspective Take a moment to think about your own thoughts. Are they happy or sad? Positive or negative? Do they lift you up or bring you down?
Our thoughts are powerful and can have a big effect on how we feel. How we feed our minds is just as important as the way we nourish our bodies, and we can select our thoughts the same way we would choose from a menu. Would you order something if you knew it wasn't going to make you feel good? But you should also honour your feelings. This is not about trying to be artificially happy. Our feelings provide us with valuable information about our needs and desires and whether or not we’re in alignment with ourselves and our values. And that means they need to be acknowledged. It’s a bit like the childhood game of hot and cold. The closer you are to being on track with the truth of who you are, the better you feel. The further away you get, the worse you feel. Once you’ve acknowledged your feelings, how you react to them is governed by your thoughts.
You have the power to choose the way you think about a situation, no matter what the circumstances. And in day-to-day life that means making choices that reflect your values and supports your dreams. With practice, you'll develop a skill that will become second nature to you. Then the sky's the limit!
apr21.qxp_Jan 2014 Aff 30/03/2021 20:24 Page 15
The following exercise is designed to help you discover facts about yourself that will nourish your sense of wellbeing;
Every evening for the next 30 days, pick a quiet moment and review your day. Write down the positive and loving things you’ve accomplished even if it’s just one thing. That’s enough. Then focus on that one thing, and express gratitude for it. Notice both your thoughts and your feelings. Do you drift into judgment or undermine yourself? For example, do you qualify it with thoughts like “…but it could have been better” or “I won a great new client today …but it was probably just a fluke.”
If that sounds familiar, go back and think about that positive achievement again. Try and be more honest with yourself about it. Ask yourself why you’re putting yourself down with your own negative self-talk. After all, if you’ve won one great client, then why shouldn’t you be able to win many more? Think about all the reasons behind why that client chose you!
Use Positive Affirmations There’s lots of positive affirmations on the internet but choose
them carefully and change them so they fit you and what you want and need. Just repeating an affirmation with no feelings attached will do nothing. Think about what you want and make that your affirmation. This can feel a bit odd at first but stick with it and you’ll reap the benefits. Start with 2 and work up to 10! Using positive phrases will challenge any negative thoughts and can be an amazing weapon for a better life.
Be Kind to Yourself Rebuilding and improving your confidence after a tough lockdown may take time so be kind to yourself and cut yourself some slack. If your life was very busy and stressful before lockdown it may be a good time now to take stock and decide what is serving you and what not.
As life slowly returns to normal, we have a unique opportunity to consider the lessons we have learnt about our pace of life and wellbeing. Make time for rest and recovery, surround yourself with a supportive network of friends and do not be hard on yourself if you find it difficult to get back into a routine.

Forget the Spring Clean 2021 is all about the Digital Device Declutter
I
t’s spring clean season, but this year there’s a new Hinch-style home hack that you should consider - a digital device declutter!
Many people will have heard of a digital detox, but let’s face it – now is not the time to disconnect from the tech we’ve become so dependent on. Instead, why not use the annual big clear out to clean up and speed up internet connectivity in your home - by ditching the devices and a few bad habits that could be slowing you down. We spoke to the experts at Zen Internet who share five essential ways you can declutter and restore some digital harmony to the home.
Step One - Switch stuff off when not in use You may not realise it but tablets and smartphones often work in the background – even when they aren’t being used. So, if you’ve got devices that you think are using your bandwidth (by downloading updates in the background, for example) start your digital device declutter by switching off the Wi-Fi option on anything you aren’t using – you could also put it on airplane mode. A laptop will keep connecting to the Wi-Fi if it is on and open so shut it down completely when you have finished work or home schooling. Gone are the days when a computer takes a good 10 minutes to fire up so get into the habit of doing a complete shut down every day.
You might want to check wireless devices that may sit dormant most of the time too. Things like wireless printers can be switched off when they aren’t needed. You can also try turning off specific streaming settings – for example HD streaming. Netflix allows you to change
the data usage setting when you login in and select ‘playback settings’ under your profile. If there are times when a lot of devices are being used collectively, this could remove the dreaded buffering mid-stream.
Step Two - Remove any ‘shadow’ devices from your network Giving your router a quick spring clean is a great habit to get into and you could be surprised at what a difference it makes. Use your router’s admin interface to find out exactly how many devices are connected to your network. Deleting the devices you don’t recognise or don’t want connected can help to ease the pressure and speed up connectivity. It is also possible to prioritise the most important devices to make sure that they always get the best possible connection. So, whether it is your games console, work laptop or smart TV, you can choose which device gets priority when there's not quite enough bandwidth to go round.
Do this via the router settings page of your broadband provider and edit the wireless settings to add priority to your chosen devices. Of course, it might be a good idea to check with the rest of the household first! Step Three – Create device free zones Tempting as it is to have always-on devices like Alexa and automated WiFi plugs dotted around the home, it may be causing excessive strain on the router.
Try making certain rooms in the home internet-free zones, especially the bedroom. This will bring more ‘zen’ and health benefits too, especially if you’re worried about the effects of blue light on your sleep and eyes.
apr21.qxp_Jan 2014 Aff 30/03/2021 20:24 Page 19
Step Four – Show your router some love and attention Let’s face it – despite the crucial role that they play in keeping us connected, a router isn’t ever going to be the centrepiece of an interior design scheme. Many end up shoved under furniture, behind curtains, in cupboards and anywhere else that they can be hidden from view. In reality you should be putting a little more thought into where you keep a router – this could improve your connectivity no end.
other devices too). Ethernet is extremely reliable, secure and fast so if you can make it work with the router and device layout then it is definitely worth considering, especially if you have a large family that is all draining the bandwidth on your network.
It is also recommended that you keep it as far away as possible from domestic appliances. According to a recent Ofcom report, even the microwave can reduce WiFi signal – so make sure it is off during those important work calls. Baby monitors, stereos, speakers, TV’s, halogen lamps can all also affect WiFi if they’re too close to your router too – so spare a thought for this priceless gadget and give it, its own special place in the house.
It’s also worth getting all corresponding chargers out for each device – and see if any still work.
Place your router as close as you can to the centre of a home for a consistent connection. If your router is downstairs, keep it as high as possible, and as low as possible if it’s upstairs. You can also try a ‘mesh’ product like Zen EveryRoom for guaranteed WiFi connectivity in every part of the house.
Step Five – Consider plugging in Plugging your laptop or console into a router might seem a bit 1999 but if your device is near enough, then an ethernet connection could be the answer to the consistent, high speed connectivity you have been craving for the past 12 months.
Keeping a wired connection between the router and your device will help to keep latency low while reducing congestion on your wireless network (which is good for
If your digital declutter has spurred you on – maybe it’s time to ditch some of those old electronic devices all together.
If so, here are some top tips: Start by getting everything into one place so you can see what you’ve got, what you need and use and what is broken or outdated. From phones with cracked screens to unloved Kindles you’ll be surprised at what you unearth from the bottom of those drawers.
Next, sort the pile into electronics you really can’t let go – and the ones that you really need to say goodbye to. Then sort the ‘going pile’ into – working and broken. Anything that is still in good condition you can sell or donate. eBay or specialist ‘cash in your gadget’ type websites will allow you to unlock some value from any unwanted devices. You can also donate to a local charity shop but it is best to check with them first what their policy is for receiving electronic devices. For gadgets that no longer work or cannot be salvaged then you should recycle them via a local recycling centre. Prawn & Asparagus Bake
“This one-pan wonder delivers all you need for a fast and fantastic feast.” Ingredients
1 kg new potatoes Olive oil 1 lemon ½ a bunch of fresh dill 6 x 120 g dab fillets, from sustainable sources 220 g cooked peeled prawns, from sustainable sources 200 g Greek-style yoghurt 150 g mature Cheddar cheese 1 teaspoon English mustard 1 bunch of asparagus
Method
Preheat the oven to 200°C/400°F/gas 6. Halve any larger potatoes, then cook in a large pan of boiling salted water for 15 minutes, or until cooked through. Drain in a colander and leave to steam dry. Once they’re cool enough to handle, slice them 1cm thick and place in a large roasting tray. Drizzle over a little oil, then finely grate over the lemon zest. Chop and scatter over half the dill, then season with a pinch of sea salt and pepper black.Toss to coat, then lay the dab fillets on top and scatter over the prawns. Coarsely grate the Cheddar. In a bowl, mix the yoghurt, half the Cheddar and the mustard. Finely chop the remaining dill and add most of it to the bowl, then squeeze in the juice of half a lemon and mix again. Snap off the woody ends, then use a speed-peeler to peel the asparagus into long strips. Gently fold them into the yoghurt dressing. Top each piece of dab with some of the dressed asparagus then pour over any leftover yoghurt dressing and sprinkle over the remaining Cheddar. Bake in the oven for 20 minutes, or until everything is slightly browned on top and the fish is beautifully cooked through. Scatter with the remaining dill, then serve up.

Spring has Sprung “With spring arriving it’s time to embrace bright flavours and sprightly wine styles to match the season’s lighter, fresher menus”
Tesco Finest Douro A deeply coloured, full-bodied red wine made from grapes grown along the steep banks of the Douro river in northern Portugal. The steep vineyards promote slow ripening in the grapes, resulting in brilliant flavour concentration and aromatic intensity. Full and fruity, yet elegant and fresh, it’s an excellent match for spring BBQs. £10.00, Tesco
Croix de Bézard Picpoul de Pinet The grapes for this wine come from vines grown on ancient terraces facing the Thau lagoon. The unique geological structure of the soils, the long, sunny days and moderating influence of the Mediterranean Sea all combine to produce an intensely aromatic and fresh wine. With notes of lemon zest and white blossom, this crisp and refreshing white is delicious on its own or with seafood. £10.00, Tesco
Tesco Finest English Sparkling Rosé NV This celebratory fizz is produced using the traditional method, as used in Champagne, which results in fine bubbles and elegant flavour complexity. Bursting with notes of fresh strawberry, crisp citrus and a touch of rich brioche, it is an excellent choice for special occasions. £20.00, Tesco
Tesco Finest Pinot Grigio Blush This rosé combines the grape’s characteristic notes of white blossom and pear with ripe peach and strawberry aromas. The delicate blush colour is obtained by keeping the grape skins in contact with the juice for a short time during the wine-making process. Serve with seafood, crisp salads and crudités. £7.00, Tesco
Tesco Finest Margaret River Brooks Road Chardonnay This elegant Australian white is made from Chardonnay grapes grown at the southern end of the Margaret River region and fermented in French oak barrels, which adds weight, texture and well-integrated vanilla spice to its lemon zest, peach and nectarine notes. It works brilliantly with richer white fish or creamy sauces. £15.00, Tesco

Fry’s Footie Corner
I am writing this column as we are about to enter April and you know at this point you are entering the business end of the season – a season I might add like no other. In all my years in the game, I have never known anything like it and credit to everyone involved at the 72 EFL clubs for remaining in business despite no crowds, no commercial revenue and no real help.
This year is my 25th at Peterborough United so it would be wonderful to mark that milestone with promotion to the Championship. Darren Ferguson and his management staff have done a superb job battling against all the odds to get the team into a position where all they have to do is finish what they have started, but we know it will not be as simple as that.
It has been relentless. Games on Saturday, Tuesday and Saturday have become the norm. Credit has to go to the Fitness and Sports Science team for putting into operation a plan that was put together all the way back in the summer.
25 years at a football club is a long time. I have been manager, owner, secretary, director of football – in fact probably the only job I haven’t done in this period of time is centre forward. Thankfully, we have been blessed with them over the years with Jonson Clarke-Harris on track to become the third successive Posh striker to win the Golden Boot.
Following in the footsteps of Ivan Toney was always going to be incredibly challenging but to notch 25 league goals with nine goals to play and 27 in all competitions is a
tremendous return. He has been ably supported in the goals front by Sammie Szmodics, who now has 12 in all competitions.
Jack Marriott, Ivan Toney and Craig Mackail-Smith have all finished on top of the goalscoring charts in recent seasons with Britt Assombalonga also prolific in his one campaign here. It is testament to the hard work behind the scenes to keep unearthing these front men – I may have a small role to play in that!
Away from Peterborough United, the Premier League looks like a one-horse race with Manchester City way in front while in the Championship it looks like Norwich City are set for an immediate return after an excellent campaign under their German manager. Our near neighbours Cambridge United have been leading the way in League Two with Paul Mullin breaking a club record for his goal return so far. They have even named a stand after him at the Abbey Stadium, so he must be doing something right.
As we reach the end of the 2020-2021 campaign, it is only right to praise the supporters because they have suffered more than anyone this year, not being able to cheer their side on from their seat in the stadium. We hope and pray that next season we can welcome them all back with open arms. Take Care

all fully crewed. Prices start from approximately £10,000 per week. Customers can choose from around 35,000 vessels in 65+ countries listed on the website, so there is plenty of choice: from catamarans, and motorboats, to sail and river boats, to luxury yachts and superyachts.
Founded in 2016 and launched by entrepreneur, Matt Ovenden, Borrow A Boat is on a mission to make boating more accessible, affordable, flexible, and inclusive for all.
Boats can be hired with or without a skipper depending on the sailor’s experience and all meet the stringent safety and insurance codes, standards, and regulations for yacht chartering in their respective locations. Trips can be hourly, daily, seven, 14 or 28 days.
Those venturing further afield can enjoy boating in the Mediterranean, Caribbean, North America, and South East Asia. Greece, Croatia, and Turkey are the most popular destinations. Rental starts from just £40 per day and sailing yachts from £1,000 per week.
A win-win for both the owner and the renter, Borrow A Boat’s service offers a revenue stream for owners, while offering renters a large choice of vessels at the best prices.
Sailing is a great staycation option, and Borrow A Boat has vessels available throughout the UK, including in popular boating hubs such as Cornwall, Devon, Portsmouth, and Southampton.
Anyone looking for a more luxurious option can use ‘Borrow A Boat Plus’ to find luxury boats and superyachts,
Borrow A Boat also pioneered peer-to-peer boat hire, meaning that boat owners can list their vessels and offer themselves as skippers. This helps to offset the high costs of boat ownership by reducing maintenance costs and marina fees, whilst offering consumers more affordable and flexible boating experiences.

Introducing The Rooster,
an Authentic Greek Retreat There is a place, hidden as a gem on a tiny Greek island; A place of freedom and rejuvenation; of spiritual awakening and unwinding; of inspiration and deep relaxation On 1st June 2021, The Rooster, on the under-the-radar Greek island of Antiparos opens. More than a resort, The Rooster is the vision-become-reality of one woman driven to create a destination with depth, value and relevance to today’s traveller. Set the Scene Conceived as a wellness and lifestyle resort that embraces ‘slow living’, The Rooster has been designed with unpretentious aesthetic luxury in mind paired with excellent service, while providing a holistic mindfulness escape. It is a retreat for the discerning traveller that celebrates the soulful Greek island through sustainability, wellness, organic food, learning and fun. Cloistered between the sandy, unspoilt beaches of the Aegean coastline and the dramatic landscape of the Cyclades amidst open fields and the mystical caves of Antiparos, The Rooster exists in complete harmony with nature. It has an enchanting raw beauty with sustainability at its heart, all the while working in harmony with the local community.
The Vision The story behind The Rooster is as special as the place itself. The hotel is a complete passion project, thoroughly thought-out to the very last detail by an inspiring woman – Founder & Owner, Athanasia Comninos. Athanasia is passionate about Antiparos and safeguarding it, and her mission with The Rooster is to foster respectful tourism on the island by creating a safe haven for those who appreciate thoughtful travel, art, culture, and life’s simple pleasures.
Space & Privacy The Rooster is all about space and privacy: just 17 individual houses of differing size, each with its own independent character. With four different layouts to choose from, each is complete with ample space, private gardens, its own freshwater pool and outdoor showers. Overlooking landscaped gardens or the sparkling Aegean, they all feature furnished terraces and spacious sundecks. Antiparos's calm, laid-back vibe is infused throughout, creating a warm, homely environment with interiors inspired by the raw natural beauty and rustic charm of the surrounding scenery. Casual, yet sophisticated, natural materials such as wood, marble and cotton complement the soothing colour palette. Understated elegance, privacy, simplicity and comfort are the leading values of The Rooster’s design philosophy. A Feast of the Senses Physical and emotional well-being, and environmental awareness lie at the core of The Rooster’s philosophy. The property’s farm-to-fork philosophy celebrates seasonal, homegrown ingredients, and many of the traditional and regional recipes served at The Restaurant contain fruits and vegetables picked straight from the farm. Fresh fish meanwhile is brought in daily by the island’s fishermen, while cheeses, free-range eggs and spirits are all procured locally and exclusive to Antiparos and Greece. Guests can visit the farm, learn about traditional farming techniques and pick indigenous vegetables and herbs to make their own meal, before partaking in interactive cooking sessions en plein air with a local cook. While the Restaurant is the food-hub of the resort, the Secret Garden is an intimate, romantic experience reminiscent of the traditional

courtyards found within the Cycladic houses. With small pebbles and lights that dance across the tables, this is a secluded place to drink and dine under the stars.
House of Healing Wellness lies at the heart of The Rooster’s ethos. The ‘House of Healing’ adopts a holistic approach and has been designed as a peaceful sanctuary for relaxation, relief, recharging and rejuvenation.
