Increase ROI While Keeping Your Heart in the Right Place
By Kim Flores, Founder & Executive Sales Consultant,
Boosted Blueprint, Escondido, CA
As someone who built a sales consulting business to help salon owners and wig shop professionals thrive, I know firsthand that success in this industry isn’t just about selling a product ― it’s about building trust, creating an exceptional experience, and truly understanding the needs of your clients. The hair replacement and wig industry is unique because it’s not just about aesthetics; it’s about restoring confidence, dignity, and self-expression.

or why one construction method is better suited for their lifestyle. A welltrained team should focus on education rather than persuasion. Use consultations to explain the differences in wig construction, materials, maintenance, and styling options. When customers understand the value behind their purchase, they feel confident in their investment.
3. Create a Hair Wardrobe for Every Lifestyle
If you want to grow your revenue while staying true to your mission of helping people feel their best, you need to integrate sales with service seamlessly. When done right, you create an environment where customers feel valued, educated, and empowered to make confident purchasing decisions.
1. Shift the Mindset: Sell What’s Right for the Customer, Not Your Wallet
Too often, sales professionals make recommendations based on their own budget, assuming what a customer is willing to spend. The reality is, it’s not about what you would pay; it’s about what the client values and needs. Train your team to confidently present the best options without hesitation, educating the client and letting them decide what works for them. When you believe in the value of what you’re selling, your clients will too.
2. Educate, Don't Push
Your clients may not know the difference between a synthetic and human hair wig,
No two customers are alike, and their needs extend beyond a single wig purchase. Train your team to help clients build a complete hair wardrobe that fits their lifestyle. Just like having different outfits for different occasions, clients should have wigs suited for work, casual outings, special events, and active lifestyles. Educate them on the benefits of various fiber type - human hair, synthetic, and heat-friendly synthetic - so they can make informed decisions on what best suits their daily routine. Personalization increases customer satisfaction, fosters loyalty, and leads to higher sales conversions.
4. Know Your Best-Selling Products & Create Bundles for Maximum Value
To increase revenue while enhancing client experience, your team must be experts on your top-performing products. Identify your best-selling wigs, toppers, and accessories, and leverage that knowledge to build confidence in your recommendations. Create value-driven service bundles that encourage repeat business, such as complimentary styling lessons with a premium wig purchase, maintenance packages that include deep conditioning and cap adjustments, and discounts on future purchases
for loyal customers. These add-ons not only increase revenue but also build longterm relationships with your clientele.
5. Leverage Technology for Seamless Sales & Follow-Ups
I always tell my clients that technology is your best friend when it comes to customer retention. Use a CRM system or automated follow-up tools to maintain relationships beyond the initial sale. Encourage stylists and consultants to check in with clients after their purchase, offer styling tips, and remind them about maintenance services. Consistent engagement fosters repeat business and referrals.
6. Train Your Team to Handle Emotional Conversations
For many customers, purchasing a wig isn’t just a transaction, it’s an emotional experience. Your team should be equipped with empathy-driven communication techniques. Teach them how to offer support, validate emotions, and reassure customers while guiding them to the best solutions.
7. Measure and Optimize Performance
To maximize return on investment (ROI), track key performance indicators such as conversion rates, average transaction value, and customer retention. Identify what’s working and where improvements are needed. Provide ongoing training to refine sales techniques, improve product knowledge, and enhance service quality.
8. Keep the Heart at the Center of Your Business
At the end of the day, success in this industry comes down to trust and care. When you lead with empathy and expertise, customers recognize your authenticity. A compassionate, service-driven approach naturally leads to increased sales, referrals, and long-term business growth.

BE A SETTER! trend
Incredibly realistic. Micro-thin and flush. Our exceptional collection of “Trend” hair replacement systems uses the most advanced technology to create today’s most requested men’s haircuts. Seamless and sophisticated. Undetectable and uncompromising. And only available from American Hairlines.

Make Your Business Work For YOU
By Shanna Moll, CEO/ Educator, Studio You Education, Zavalla, TX
As artists in the hair industry, we are rarely taught about business — unless we take the initiative to hire a business coach.

We are conditioned to work tirelessly behind the chair, serving as many clients as possible, without realizing that we are actually limiting growth. And this can lead to burnout. We feel guilty about raising our prices and are afraid to turn away clients, even when overwhelmed. Then, when burnout inevitably happens, business stalls because we are the business.
Here’s the truth: if your business depends 100% on you showing up and doing the work, you do not own a business — you own a job.
The solution? Learn how to scale your business by training others, delegating, and creating new income streams.
The Path to Sustainable Growth
1. Start with delegation – even if you’re a solo artist
Many stylists hesitate to hire help because they assume they can't afford it. But here’s what most don’t realize: delegation is an investment, not an expense.
Even if you work in a salon suite, you can start small by hiring a part-time assistant to handle:
• Shampooing & blow-drying
• Cleaning & organizing your space
• Booking appointments & client communication
• Social media & content creation
These tasks take up hours of your week — time that could be used to bring in more revenue. If hiring an assistant allows you
to serve one extra client per day, they could pay for themselves in no time.
2. Train another stylist to take over some of your clients
Once you have support with your daily workflow, the next step is to train this stylist to take on some of your services.
• Start by choosing your lower-ticket services (e.g., root touch-ups, blowouts, trims).
• Have them assist you first so they can learn your techniques and salon culture.
• Slowly start handing over clients you’ve built trust with.
• Charge slightly less for their services while they gain confidence under your guidance. This allows you to free up time while still earning money from their work. Over time, they’ll gain independence, and you can start focusing on higher-ticket services or business growth.
3. Expand your services for higher profit margins
One of the best ways to scale is to offer premium services that require specialized education — especially in hair loss solutions. Hair loss and scalp health are some of the most profitable and in-demand services right now. By learning techniques that set you apart, you can:
• Charge premium prices for a specialized service
• Attract long-term, loyal clients
• Create recurring revenue with maintenance visits every 4-6 weeks
• Differentiate yourself from other stylists
Higher-profit services fund your ability to scale because they give you the income needed to invest in a team, business education, and more personal time.
4. Shift 40-50% of your time to business growth
The biggest turning point for me was learning that I didn’t need to be behind the chair 100% of the time to grow. Instead, I made a conscious decision to step away for 40-50% of my time to focus on business strategy. That meant:
• Developing systems for my salon so everything didn’t depend on me
• Building relationships with industry experts and mentors
• Training my team to operate independently
• Creating content & education to attract high-end clients
• Investing in self-care to avoid burnout
At first, this can feel scary — especially if you’re a control freak like me. But letting go of control is how you truly step into leadership.
What’s Possible When You Take Control of Your Business?
Imagine this:
• Your team is thriving, and your business is growing without you working 10-hour days.
• You’re attracting high-end clients who value your expertise instead of just filling your schedule with endless appointments.
• You’re generating income even when you’re not behind the chair, allowing you to focus on bigger opportunities.
• You have the time, energy, and freedom to actually enjoy the business you’ve built.
That’s what working FOR your business looks like.
You Don’t Have to Figure This Out Alone
When we run our businesses correctly, it can be wildly profitable and fulfilling. Take that next step, invest in business education. Learning from others is the fastest way to grow! When you stop working just in your business and start working for it, you open the door to limitless potential.

Navigating the Hair Restoration Industry Without Losing Yourself

By Sheleen Williams, Owner, A Visionary Salon, Morgan Hill, CA
Owning a hair restoration business is not for the faint of heart. We are not just stylists — we are therapists, problem-solvers, entrepreneurs, and educators. Every day, we juggle a dozen roles while striving to make a real impact on our clients' lives. We are on the front lines of an epidemic, witnessing firsthand the emotional toll hair loss takes on individuals. Yet, while we pour our energy into transforming lives, the pressure to keep up with an ever-evolving industry, new technologies, and the relentless pull of social media can make even the most seasoned professionals feel overwhelmed.

How do we balance it all? How do we continue to grow without being consumed by the chaos? In my 30+ years in this industry, I’ve learned that success isn’t about chasing trends or burning ourselves out trying to wear every hat: it’s about focus, understanding our numbers, hiring strategically, setting meaningful goals, and, most importantly, setting boundaries to protect our time, energy, and sanity.
The Overwhelm of Wearing Too Many Hats
As business owners, we do everything including marketing, consultations, treatments, follow-ups, bookkeeping, staff management, and customer service. At
first, this level of involvement is necessary. But at some point, what makes us successful can also burn us out.
We need to recognize which hats we should wear and which ones we need to delegate. The hardest lesson I’ve learned is that I am not the best person for every job in my business. Yes, I am an expert in hair restoration, but I am not an expert in website design, accounting, or social media management. Hiring professionals in those areas has freed me to focus on what I do best: changing lives through hair restoration.
If you feel like you're drowning, ask yourself:
• What tasks drain my energy and take me away from serving clients?
CONTINUED ON PAGE 11

• Which parts of my business could someone else do better?
• How much is my time actually worth, and am I spending it wisely?
Setting Boundaries: Protecting Your Time and Energy
One of the most important lessons I’ve learned is that boundaries are not selfish— they are necessary. When you don’t set clear boundaries, you end up overcommitting, resenting your work, and feeling depleted.
You need boundaries with:
• Clients: Just because a client texts at 9 p.m. doesn’t mean you need to respond. Set clear expectations about when and how they can communicate with you.
• Staff: If you are constantly stepping in to solve every issue, your team will never grow. Empower them to problem-solve.
• Family and Friends: Just because you own your own business doesn’t mean you’re available 24/7. Your work time is just as important as any traditional job.
If you don’t protect your time, someone else will dictate how you spend it. Learning to say no when something doesn’t align with your goals is one of the most powerful things you can do.
The Social Media Illusion: You Are Not Falling Behind
Every day, we are bombarded with images of "six-figure stylists," viral hair transformations, and influencers who seem to have it all figured out. It can be easy to fall into the trap of thinking that you are not doing enough. But here’s the truth, social media is a highlight reel, not a business plan.
Chasing every new trend or feeling pressured to create non-stop content can take time away from what truly matters — serving our clients and growing our expertise. I’m not saying social media isn’t valuable; it is. But the key is to use it as a tool, not a measuring stick.
Instead of trying to do everything, focus on what works for you. Do you prefer one-on-one education? Host small in-person events. Do you enjoy showing
behind-the-scenes work? Post real client journeys. If social media stresses you out, hire someone to manage it or set boundaries around how often you engage with it.
Most importantly, do not let the illusion of perfection make you doubt your own success. If you are consistently delivering results for your clients, you are not behind.
Understanding Your Numbers: The Key
to Sustainable Growth
One of the biggest mistakes I made early on was not fully understanding my numbers. I was working hard, making money, but had no clear financial strategy. Revenue was coming in, but expenses were going out just as fast. Sound familiar?
Too many hair restoration professionals get caught up in the cycle of working more instead of working smarter. Without a clear picture of where our money is going, we end up exhausted and underpaid.
Start with these basics:
• Know Your Profit Margins: If you don’t know how much profit you make per service, you might be working for less than minimum wage.
• Track Your Time: If a service takes longer than expected, you are losing money. Efficiency matters.
• Plan for Growth: If you want to expand, hire, or invest in new technology, you need a financial roadmap to get there.
I learned the hard way that revenue and profit are not the same thing. More clients and more services don’t always mean more success if pricing, overhead, and time management aren’t in alignment.
Hiring With Intention: Aligning with Your Values
When we feel overwhelmed it’s easy to hire out of desperation. We just need someone, anyone, to help lighten the load. But hiring the wrong person, someone who doesn’t align with your values, or who doesn’t fit into your salon culture can create more stress than it solves.
Before you bring anyone into your business, get crystal clear on what you stand for.
• What are your core values?
• What kind of experience do you want your clients to have?
• What kind of team culture do you want to build?
Every person you hire should fit into that vision. Skills can be taught, but character, work ethic, and alignment with your business philosophy cannot.
The Best Investment I’ve Made: Hiring a Coach
If there’s one thing I wish I had done sooner, it’s hiring a business coach. The right coach will challenge you, hold you accountable, and help you see the bigger picture.
For years, I tried to figure things out on my own. I thought I had to "grind" my way to success. But the truth is, we all have blind spots. A coach provides clarity, structure, and sometimes, just the push we need to take the next step.
If you’re considering hiring a coach, ask yourself:
• Do they have real experience in my industry?
• Do their values align with mine?
• Can they help me grow, not just in revenue, but in confidence and leadership?
There is no prize for figuring everything out on your own. A great coach isn’t an expense, it’s an investment that pays off in clarity, direction, and sustainable success.
Run Your Business, Don’t Let It Run You
Being a hair restoration professional is one of the most rewarding careers imaginable. We don’t just change hair, we restore confidence, dignity, and quality of life. But to be truly successful, we have to take care of ourselves and our businesses just as much as we take care of our clients. You can have a thriving, fulfilling business without losing yourself in the process. The real magic isn’t in chasing every trend, it’s in showing up consistently, serving your clients with excellence, and building a business that supports you, not just the other way around.

Transforming Hair Loss Into Hope
By Lauren Jackson, Owner, Renata Salons, Grapevine, TX
In 2003, I embarked on an incredible journey alongside my mother, opening the doors to Renata Salons. Our vision was simple: to create a welcoming space where beauty and confidence could flourish. Starting with just three talented stylists in our expansive 6,000 square foot salon, we poured our hearts into building a community that now proudly has an amazing team of 21 skilled professionals dedicated to enhancing the beauty of our clients.

doors, I was filled with fear and vulnerability, completely unaware of the significant missing link in my salon business. That day, I discovered an incredible community overflowing with love, acceptance, encouragement, and unwavering support — a sanctuary that provided exactly what I needed during a time of despair.
experience, I've honed remarkable techniques and continue to evolve as a hair loss expert, dedicated to making a meaningful difference in our industry and the lives of those I serve.
From the very beginning, my passion for helping others was evident. I often found myself cutting wigs for clients undergoing cancer treatments, offering my services free of charge. This was my way of giving back, providing comfort and support during their most challenging times. However, as our business grew, we realized we were missing a vital opportunity to assist those with thinning hair. For many clients struggling with hair loss, we could only recommend a local wig store, leaving us feeling like we were falling short in our mission to serve our community.
The turning point came in 2018 when I was diagnosed with alopecia areata. This personal experience opened my eyes to the struggles faced by those dealing with hair loss, igniting a passion within me to expand our services to include hair loss solutions. We began offering specialized services and retail products tailored to those experiencing thinning hair, and the impact on our business has been profound.
In 2019, I took a leap of faith and attended the American Hair Loss Council's annual conference, an experience that forever transformed my life. Stepping through those
I realized I could integrate hair loss into my business model, not only revitalizing it financially but also positively impacting the lives of countless individuals. Over the past six years, I’ve attended the conference annually and have acquired more knowledge about hair loss than in my previous 25 years in the industry. This journey introduced me to lifelong friends who share my passion, all thanks to being part of such an extraordinary organization. Through this

As a client grappling with hair loss, the journey can feel overwhelming and isolating. Many individuals feel lost, unsure of where to turn for guidance and support. As a stylist, it can be equally challenging to navigate these sensitive conversations and provide the right resources. By incorporating hair loss solutions into our offerings, we’ve transformed Renata Salons into a haven for those seeking support and options they previously couldn’t access.
Our team has undergone extensive training to understand the complexities of hair loss, enabling us to provide compassionate care and tailored solutions for each client. Whether it’s recommending the perfect wig, extensions, a beautiful topper, offering scalp treatments, or providing styling tips for thinning hair, we are now equipped to meet the unique needs of our clients. We’ve also expanded our retail offerings to include high-quality hair care products specifically designed for those experiencing hair loss, allowing our clients to maintain their hair health at home, along with adding wigs and toppers for clients so that they feel beautiful and confident.
Adding hair loss services has not only enriched our clients' experiences, but has also had a significant impact on our business. We have seen a remarkable increase in revenue from both the retail and service sides, allowing us to invest further in our team and facilities. More importantly, we can now keep our clients within our salon, providing them with a comprehensive range of services that cater to their evolving needs.

Filling Your Cup Self-Care for Hair Loss Specialists
Jarred Wilson, Editor,
The Link Magazine, Nashville, TN
Regardless of profession, one of the biggest challenges we face is finding balance between our work and our personal lives, specifically self-care. This is especially true for those in the hair industry, be it a stylist or a hair loss specialist. Hair is often a source of confidence and pride and even plays a vital role in self-identity for some. Salons become a safe space and clients tend to develop a sense of trust, allowing themselves to open up emotionally during conversation. Oftentimes, this environment is the only one where they don’t feel alone or isolated. Those experiencing more intense situations, such as hair loss due to illness, confide in their hair experts not only for hair solutions, but emotional and mental support during these major life changes. Though this is part of the job, hair loss specialists are not necessarily equipped to provide this type of extreme care and support or to process such a heavy load of information. Whether you realize it or not,

this can become overwhelming, negatively affecting the quality of your work over time, your life outside the workplace, and your physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing. To provide care for your clients, you must provide care for yourself.
Know Your Limits
You are a superhero in the eyes of your clients. You have the power to fix all of their problems. You have all of the resources, all of the solutions, all of the information. The simple (and hard) truth is – you don’t. None of us hold every key. Your key may open the door to solutions for alopecia, but it may not open the door to emotional support for a client going through chemotherapy.
While it is important that you learn and understand your power, it is equally as vital to learn and understand your

limits and boundaries. Know when and where to draw the line, when to wave the white flag and say “you know what, I don’t have the capacity for this”. There are ways to still provide exceptional support and service to your clients without pushing yourself past your limit. It is OK to set boundaries with your

clients, and it is OK to outsource when you don’t have all of the answers.
Dianna from Nuhairlines provided a few tips for setting boundaries with your clients:
• Recognize what’s yours vs. theirs. It’s natural to feel empathy, but remind yourself that you are a guide, not a “fixer”.
• Support your clients without absorbing their pain by providing gentle reassurance. Something as simple as "I see you, and I’m here to listen" can be powerful, without overextending yourself.
• Have resources on hand. Keep brochures or links to local mental health resources for clients who may need deeper support.
Find Release Throughout the Day
When our brains and bodies are under stress, we seek ways to eliminate the excess energy build-up. Have you ever noticed what a rabbit does after being chased? Once they are out of harm's way, they shake. This is a natural means of releasing feelings of anxiety and fear so they can refocus and move forward. What ways can we find release during the work day?
• Shake it Off!: Just like the rabbit, taking a few moments to shake our bodies releases any pent up or excess energy we acquire during the day. While it may feel or look a bit silly, it can be extremely helpful in maintaining stress levels. Amanda from Custom Designs says she takes a few deep breaths and “shakes off the day” while leaving her salon, physically leaving work at work.
• Vent: Having someone to vent to throughout the day - friends, family, coworkers - can help you express any negative thoughts and feelings that may be holding you back or causing additional stress. These people should be a safe space; remember you are often dealing with incredibly sensitive and delicate situations.
• Take a Walk: If time permits, use any breaks in your schedule to go for a short walk. Ten or twenty minutes outside, breathing fresh air, can help reground you and reconnect with yourself and your work.
Schedule “Me” Time
Even though we may find ways to temporarily relieve ourselves from stress and anxiety, it is still important that we schedule time specifically for ourselves to fully expel negative energies, decompress, and hit the reset button. Flora from Unique Hair Concepts provided a few things she does to set aside time for herself:
• “I use my commute home to decompress by listening to my favorite music loudly or listening to a podcast. This helps me to switch my brain from work to relax mode. I want to get home to my family with a smile on my face and not bring home any stress or negative energy.”
• “...I also love getting home, changing into different clothes (again telling my brain that it’s time to switch gears) and doing my strength exercises. There is a fabulous YouTube channel for women ‘FitbyMik’ that focuses on 20-minute strength training. It has made such a difference.”
• “We are closed on Sunday and Monday. I make it a point not to read my emails after I leave the center on Saturday and all day Sunday. On Monday, I will lightly skim through my messages and only answer if it’s something that is highly important. I have made it a priority to make Sunday and Monday for me. I may get a neck and shoulder massage, acupuncture, or get my nails done. The only person that can take care of me is me.”
Don’t Be Afraid
It may be difficult to make time for yourself. Many of us feel like we are neglecting our work, our clients, or even our families by doing so. The reality is that we wouldn’t be able to give our time and energy to these things if we didn’t take care of ourselves first. A monthly massage, dedicated time at the gym, or even taking a couple of hours a day to read a book are all excellent ways to give back to yourself in order to better tend to your business. Your clients will appreciate that you are taking a moment so that you can better serve their needs. Don’t be afraid to set aside time and focus on your well-being. Fill your own cup so that you can continue to fill the cups of others.

The Psychology of a Client

By Stacey Handel, Owner, Garde Bien Spa

Is your personality a green or red? Do you work best with promoters or caregivers? Should you hire firstborns or babies? How best can you relate to clients who are extremely detailed or present indecisive personalities? Over the decades, various personality tests have been examined for use in different types of relationships, including finding a lifelong partner. However, it’s essential not to overlook the advantages of effective communication for a deeper understanding of a client's personality.

and in combination. This approach is useful in hiring and understanding clients' motivations in a sales environment. While many evaluations can help categorize and comprehend individuals, I found the D.I.S.C. concepts to be the most effective and user-friendly for appreciating connections with customers and creating long-term relationships.

• Like most personality tests, D.I.S.C. also uses an evaluation to categorize tendencies, how we prioritize activities, likes, and activity strengths.

Your personality style is driven and dominant. You take action on projects and are results-focused. You love to make decisions and work well with goals. You are competitive and strive to win. Often in a leadership role, boss or captain. Many successful entrepreneurs are D-Style.
If you are a D-Type:
Be careful not to over-promise, slow down for all other personality types, and be a better listener. You can appear pushy to other types. Be more personable and friendly for I and S-Types and add more details for C-Types.
To prepare for new client consultations, we will explore as much information as possible via Google, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc. One such client we found was a top auditor and financial advisor. She was also of average size, brown shoulder length with a far-left part. To prepare, we selected our brown samples, styled and parted to mimic her look. Her review was outstanding “…… was prepared and showed me exactly what I wanted. She made my difficult decision surprisingly pleasant.”
Our D-Type client:
Want to be in charge and might speak first, wants you to be on time, wants to direct the process, and may interrupt you to get on track. Loves making decisions, so give them choices. Do your homework to prepare for D-types. Have forms ready, samples ready, demos ready. Don’t focus on trendy or most popular items; they’ll hate that.
I: INFLUENTIAL, SOCIAL, EXTROVERT
“I connect with customers as people.” “I remember birthdays.” “My passion is helping people.”
Are you an I-Type?
You embody enthusiasm and contagious excitement. You are warm, optimistic, and have fantastic social skills. You are generally more interested in people than projects. Marvelous skill in helping customers open up and share. You love groups and make great party planners; even if it’s painting a room, you'll make it fun by organizing a ‘paint party’.
If you are an I-Type:
Limit personal stories with D and C-Types, rather, get to the purpose of the appointment first. Include more detailed material for C-Styles listen to an S-Style story, and limit yours. Overall, your enthusiasm will be appreciated by every personality type.
It's crucial to stay focused on achieving results during consultations. Conversations can easily drift into storytelling, especially when two I-types are involved. If you're consulting with a D or C type, maintain your focus to help achieve better outcomes.
Our I-Type client:
Often make impulsive decisions, seek input from friends for significant choices, and may prefer to have a support person accompany them to a consultation. It's advisable to schedule their appointments as the last of the day. Offer refreshments and aim to create a light, conversational atmosphere during the consultation to keep it enjoyable. I-types are excellent resources for referrals, so be sure to express your appreciation for their recommendations.
We organized a fun, game-like consultation for a cancer patient who wanted to include six of her friends. We encouraged the friends to bring snacks and wine, and we printed voting cards with a star rating system from 1 to 5 for each wig she tried on. It was fun to make her decision-making
process enjoyable while helping her friends feel more connected. Another of our I-Type clients took pictures of each wig and shared them with friends to gather feedback during the consultation.
S: STEADINESS, SINCERE, AMIABLE, INTROVERT
“I am genuine and trustworthy.” “ I am dependable and respect rules.”
DOMINANT
Makes decisions quickly
Isn't afraid of risks or conflicts
Likes a competitive atmosphere
Sets their own rules
STEADY
Likes familiar processes
Listens carefully and shows understanding
Wants to be supportive
Wants to maintain peace
Are you an S-Type?
This type is a good listener, calm, and desires to gain respect and trust, not just to ‘make the sale.’ You are tactful and diplomatic and prefer to guide more than pressure. You are very supportive but avoid conflict. You have a great way of connecting, and customers will respond. Don’t forget to enter notes from your conversation and stick to the script or questionnaire to retain data.
INFLUENCING
Establishes connections with others quickly
Finds it easy to express feelings
Forms connections between people
Enjoys the spotlight
CAUTIOUS
Completes tasks accurately
Plans things carefully
Expects a lot of themselves
Has an analytical mindset
If you are an S-Style:
Focus on results; you might get overwhelmed by aggressive or unhappy customers, but hang in there. You may be too routine, allowing customers to take control, and you may move too slowly for D-Types. Encourage decisions; you’re not being pushy; it’s simply a characteristic of an S-type personality.
Our S-Type Client:
They will have very good questions and are looking to you for guidance. Will refer to your expertise and may say, “I am not sure, you are the expert, and I am open to whatever you recommend.” These are the most loyal clients. They are appreciative of your help. S-Types may appear disinterested but are really just processing the information may leave without a decision while remaining interested; wait a few days and follow up.
I do not have a favorite type. However, I am partial to the S-Type because they have been taken advantage of, want to trust, and are the most hurt when lied to or ‘pushed’ into a purchase. They are pulling for you to be the ONE to offer a solution. You can foster an incredible bond with an S-Type who is worthy of an ethical and well-educated professional. S-Types are eternally grateful. We often hear, “I am so glad I found you” or “I wish I had found you many years ago.”
C: COMPETENT, CALCULATING, LOGICAL, INTROVERT
“I know my stuff.” “I love the details.” “I take notes and make lots of lists.”
Are you a C-Type?
You are focused on quality and data, as a C type you are well-organized and want facts and details, often in writing. You are neat and orderly. You are
problem-solving and solution-oriented. You are great at filtering through lots of data to find the right options. You hate to be late, but sometimes, you need deadlines as perfectionistic desires will cause extreme overworking of the process.
If you are a C-Type:
Select priority data and summarize it for your customers to avoid overwhelming them with minutia of details, especially the D and I Types. Let the client tell their story before presenting your data. Let them ask questions that are your cue to their interests.
Allow them to share opinions and feelings about the ideas you present. Watch for reactions as you present.
Our C-Type client:
Create a neat work area, use forms and lists, provide copies of data sheets, and provide accurate, up-to-date information. Better to say, “I don’t know, but I will find out,” than anything other than accurate information. Present a chronological overview of processing steps such as ordering, servicing, follow-up, etc. C-Type clients do research, will bring photos, a list of questions, and rate your responses. Avoid words like “match your color” or “will look exactly like your hair.” They will expect it to.
Be attentive if clients bring in photos, lists, and Instagram videos these are extremely important to them. If they keep asking the same questions, provide them with written brochures that detail, for example, the home care steps suited to their needs. Offer to reach out for follow-up questions either by phone or in person.
To be an effective salesperson, you will often be selling to people in a way that you wouldn’t want to be sold to. We can all relate to times when someone is "pushy" and lacks understanding of our priorities. If a salesperson gathers the right personality information first by asking questions and listening, it will never feel pushy. Understanding this, practicing and perfecting these skills will help you connect and remain curious about your clients, regardless of their personality type, ultimately fostering more effective long-term relationships.

Stress and Hair Loss
By Irene Rubinson Sullivan, Therapist and Clinical Trichologist and Suzanne Elkhechen, MA, Senior Trichologist, Energy Zone Wellness
Center, Englewood Cliffs, NJ

Hair is more than just keratin — it is tied to our identity, selfexpression, and confidence. So, when you notice thinning, shedding, or bald patches, it can feel like the world is closing in. For many, hair loss brings a sense of helplessness, especially when tied to something as pervasive as stress.
Stress-related hair loss is not just a physical issue; it is emotional, cyclical, and sometimes overwhelming. For professionals working with clients experiencing hair loss, or for those navigating this challenge, understanding the connection between stress and hair health can provide clarity, relief, and solutions.
How Stress Impacts Hair: The Biological Fallout
You have likely heard the phrase "stress makes your hair fall out". While dismissing this as a cliché is easy, there is a strong biological basis for it. Stress triggers a cascade of physiological reactions that disrupt the normal hair cycle, often leading to noticeable thinning or shedding.

Telogen Effluvium (TE): Stressinduced Shedding
Think of your hair growth cycle as a factory. Most of the time, hair follicles are in the anagen (growth) phase, actively producing strong, healthy hair. A smaller number of follicles are resting (the telogen phase), waiting to shed old hairs before re-entering the growth phase.
However, when the body experiences intense physical or emotional stress, this delicate balance is thrown off. Stress floods the body with cortisol, the infamous stress hormone, which pushes more follicles into the resting phase. The result is a dramatic increase in hair shedding, known as TE. The silver lining? This is typically temporary. Once stress levels stabilize, hair regrowth resumes, though it may take months for clients to see noticeable improvement.
Alopecia Areata: When Stress and the Immune System Collide
In more severe cases, stress does not just disrupt the hair cycle, it activates the
immune system to attack hair follicles directly. This condition, alopecia areata, often causes sudden, round patches of hair loss and is emotionally devastating for many. Unlike telogen effluvium, alopecia areata is more unpredictable and often requires medical treatment.
Stress Worsens Existing Hair Loss
Clients with underlying conditions like androgenetic alopecia (pattern baldness) may find that stress speeds up hair thinning. Cortisol and other stress-related hormones can intensify inflammation around hair follicles and exacerbate pre-existing issues, making hair loss appear worse.
The Psychological Toll of Hair Loss
Hair loss is as much an emotional battle as a physical one. Losing hair can feel like losing a piece of your identity, leading to feelings of anxiety, frustration, or even shame. Research confirms that people with alopecia experience lower self-esteem and poorer quality of life. Studies rank the emotional impact of alopecia areata higher than psoriasis or even melanoma.
This emotional toll creates a vicious cycle: stress causes hair loss, hair loss causes stress, and the cycle continues. Breaking this loop requires addressing stress-related hair loss's physical and emotional components.

Unraveling the Connection
Breaking the Cycle: What Can Be Done?
Stress-related hair loss can feel overwhelming, but the good news is that it is often manageable and, in many cases, reversible. Both clients and professionals can take actionable steps to regain control over hair health.
1. Education is Empowerment
One of the most powerful tools you can offer clients is knowledge. Explain how stress affects the hair cycle and reassure them that conditions like telogen effluvium are temporary. Understanding what is happening in their body can alleviate some of the fear and anxiety associated with sudden hair loss.
2. Stress Management for Hair Recovery
Managing stress is not just about emotional relief — it is about restoring balance in the body and creating an environment where hair can thrive. Here are a few strategies:
• Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction: Practices like yoga, meditation, and guided breathing exercises have been scientifically proven to reduce cortisol levels and improve overall well-being.
• Acceptance and Commitment Therapy: This therapy helps individuals accept their feelings without judgment while focusing on behaviors aligned with their values. It is beneficial for breaking the emotional
cycle of stress and hair loss.
• Everyday Relaxation Techniques: Encourage clients to find simple, stress-relieving activities that work for them, such as journaling, walking in nature, or deep breathing exercises.
3. Psychological Support for Emotional Healing
When stress or trauma is overwhelming, professional help can be life-changing. Therapies like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) are highly effective in reducing stress and its physical manifestations, including hair loss.
4. Holistic, Collaborative
Care
For professionals, teaming up with dermatologists, trichologists, and mental health experts can create a comprehensive care plan that addresses all aspects of hair loss. Combining medical treatments, such as topical solutions or immunotherapy, with stress-reduction techniques often produces the best results for both hair regrowth and emotional well-being.
The Role of Psychological Support in Hair Regrowth
Hair regrowth is not just about scalp treatments but also about mental health. Studies show that psychological interventions can significantly improve emotional well-being and hair health. For example:
• A study published in the British Journal of Dermatology (2021) found that mindfulness and acceptance-based therapies reduced distress in people with alopecia.
• Hypnotherapy has shown potential for reducing stress and, in some cases, encouraging hair regrowth.
By addressing the root causes of stress, these therapies help clients rebuild confidence and reclaim control over their hair and lives.
A Message of Hope for Clients and Professionals
Whether you are professional guiding clients through hair loss or someone experiencing it firsthand, remember this: Stress-related hair loss is common and manageable. With the right tools, knowledge, and support, you can break the cycle and restore hair and confidence.
For professionals, staying informed about the latest research and techniques is key. Continuing education and collaboration with other experts can deepen your understanding and help you provide the best care for your clients.
For clients, know that you are not alone, and a team of professionals is ready to help. Stress may be inevitable, but its effects on hair do not have to be permanent. By addressing hair loss's physical and emotional components, you can reclaim your peace of mind and sense of self.

Hair Options for Clients with Trichotillomania
By Dorin Azérad, Stylist, Houston, TX
I got my first hair piece at the age of 16. It was a mesh-integrated topper that was sewn into my biological hair. It was my gateway hair piece – the one that plunged me into the world of wigs, toppers, bonded hair pieces, and more. My journey with hair loss began at the age of four when I developed trichotillomania, the hair pulling disorder. Decades later, I now have the privilege to be a hairstylist for clients with trichotillomania and all forms of hair loss.

Toppers
There is no one-size-fits-all when it comes to selecting the perfect hair piece for a client with trichotillomania. Unlike other forms of hair loss, trichotillomania can lead to patterns that are unpredictable and greatly varied (i.e. clients range from an almost full head of hair to completely bald). This means that every hair piece will not work for every client. Understanding the pros and cons of different hair pieces for clients with trichotillomania will help you confidently guide your client.
Wigs
Pros: Wigs are a “safe” option for many clients. If clients have bald spots on different parts of their head or they are worried about their hair loss moving into new areas, a wig will allow clients to wear a full head of wig hair without having to worry about their hair underneath it. Many of my clients call their wig their “hair jail” - they are able keep their biological hair under their wig untouchable as long as they’re wearing their wig.
Cons: Wigs are not a great option for clients who have high-density biological hair. Not all clients with trichotillomania experience extreme hair loss. For clients with a lot of hair or those who don't want to
cover their natural hair, wigs might be too much for them. However, some clients like the feeling of having their hair restricted but want that on a more permanent basis. In this case, a wig would not be the best option, and they should look into bonded hair pieces.
Pros: Toppers are a great option for clients who are looking to show off their hair while covering up their thin or bald spots. Oftentimes, clients with trichotillomania have habitually found themselves styling their hair in very specific ways to cover up their bald spots. They are looking for new ways to wear their hair but are not interested in covering up all their hair. Toppers are that perfect middle ground for these clients.
Cons: Hair loss from trichotillomania can be unpredictable and widespread. For many, traditional topper sizes might not cover their bald spots. However, that doesn’t always mean that a topper isn’t the right option for them. Depending on how they plan on styling their hair piece, a topper might give someone the added density they are looking for without having to cover all of their hair with a wig. If I notice that the topper will not cover a bald spot, I always discuss this with my client ahead of time. For some clients, they want every bald spot covered (a wig might be the better option for them). For others, they are looking for added density while still getting to wear their biological hair.
Extensions
Pros: Extensions are a great option for clients who are looking to add density to a specific part of their hair. I have had clients who have pulled from a small part of their head for years (e.g. the back nape)
but otherwise have a full head of hair. Wigs, toppers, and other top-of-head hair pieces would be too much for these clients. However, extensions would provide the right amount of hair to fill in small gaps in their hair.
Cons: While extensions remain the most mainstream form of alternative hair, I find that they rarely work for clients with trichotillomania. The methods with which extensions are attached (e.g. tied, beaded, fused) often put tension on client’s hair. This tension can cause an increased sensation at the scalp, which can increase urges for pulling. Unless a client’s hair pulling is near dormant, I usually dissuade them against choosing extensions.
Bonded Hair Pieces
Pros: Many clients with trichotillomania find bonded hair pieces to be an appealing option for them because it means restricting access to hair that might otherwise be pulled. I love bonded hair pieces for clients who are looking to wake up with their dream hair and are committed to the maintenance involved with monthly reattachments. If clients are looking to stop pulling from a specific area on their head, putting on a semi-permanent hair piece will ensure that they don’t have access to those hairs while the piece remains bonded. If this option is chosen to curb the urge to pull, I always recommend that they seek out a licensed therapist who specializes in trichotillomania and/or bodyfocused repetitive behaviors.
Cons: When the client’s hair starts to grow back or if they already have higher than average density, bonded hair pieces can become difficult to bond. These clients might feel like they need to come for reattachment more frequently. In addition, bonding has the potential to put pressure on the hair follicles as the hair piece loosens up. This can caused increased scalp sensation and pulling urges for some.

Photo Shoot on a Budget
By Nicole Maples, Elan
Hair Studio, Houston, TX
The idea of planning your first business photo shoot might sound overwhelming – and expensive. You may find yourself wondering where to begin and how to account for this in your budget, especially if you’re just starting out in the industry.

When I was new to the industry, I used images provided by our vendors on my website and social media, but I knew that I wanted photos of my own clients to showcase in these places. Through the process of planning my first photo shoot, I learned that you can execute a successful photo shoot on a limited budget and get great content that you will use for years to come.
The following 10 steps will help you plan your first business photo shoot and make the most out of your budget, big or small!
Step 1 – Determine Your Goals
The first step is to make a list of your goals. Start by considering what images you want and where you plan to use them. You might need images for your website, social media platforms, or for digital and print marketing materials. You may also want professional headshots for you and
your team, images of your salon space, before and after photos, or action shots of you and your team working with clients. You should also determine if you would like video content in addition to images. If you are working with a small budget you can limit video content to short clips you can take and edit with your phone. Professional videography and editing can add significantly to the overall cost.
Step 2 – Develop Your Concept
Your list of goals will guide your overall concept. This is where you will determine the general vibe, look, and feeling you want your images to convey. Determine if you want to use photography backdrops and professional lighting or natural light and a setting without a controlled background like a rented studio or your salon space. You may want your images to be formal and posed or casual and candid. If brand consistency is important to you make sure the general concept and any color scheme involved with clothing or back drops are complimentary to your existing brand elements and website design.
I found Pinterest to be a helpful tool in developing our concept and in bringing
it to life. Pinterest boards allowed us to keep inspiration in one place and allowed everyone involved to visualize the types of images we were hoping to achieve. The first board we created was used to capture the overall concept of the photo shoot and included hair and photo shootrelated conte that fit our concept. You can also save specific images you hope to recreate so your photographer has them for reference. Another board was specifically for outfit inspiration for our team and clients. We didn’t want everyone to match but we wanted everyone to coordinate, and this board helped everyone choose their outfits accordingly.
For reference, we created a board that showcases our first photo shoot. (pinterest. com/elanhairstudiohouston/)
Step 3 – Understand Your Costs
The primary costs associated with any photo shoot are the photographer and space rental. In addition, you may also need to allow space in your budget for paying your team, thank you gifts for your clients, and food and beverages for the day of the shoot.
If you are on a limited budget, you should consider using your own salon space or a public or outdoor space. In my first photo shoot, we did not use a professional make-up artist and clients purchased and

brought their own clothing. We did not pay clients for their time and we did not give discounts for participating. We did give each client their individual photos from the shoot so they could be used for personal use. The clients loved this and it was no additional cost to us.
Step 4 – Choose a Photographer
Do you want your images to feel like casual lifestyle images or more formal editorial or high fashion images? Your answer to this question and your overall concept will drive the type of photographer you are looking for. I wanted the images from my first photo shoot to feel casual and comfortable and we chose a photographer who has experience in couples, family, and boudoir photography. She did not have experience with this specific type of photography. However, her portfolio was full of images that I felt like fit my vision. Consider all of your resources, including clients, industry contacts, and even local photographers.
Step 5 – Find a Location
Choose your location based on your goals and your budget. There are many low or no cost options, including: your salon space, public venues, outdoor venues, and some studio spaces that allow hourly rental at affordable rates. If space rental is an option for you, there are a growing number of

hourly and daily photography studio rentals available in most cities. Your photographer will be able to assist in identifying a place for the shoot based on your goals.
It is also important to consider the lighting in the location at the time of day you plan to do your photo shoot. It is ideal to have plenty of natural light for the duration of the shoot or for your photographer to have access to professional lighting.
Step 6 – Identify Your Clients
I recommend choosing 3-5 clients for your first photo shoot. Try to choose a diverse group of clients who represent all of your different clients including age, ethnicity, hair texture, and cut, color, and style differences. If you aren’t sure where to begin, start talking with all of your clients or send out a mass email about your vision for your photo shoot and why you want to do it. You may be surprised who expresses interest in participating!
Step 7 – Pick a Date
Once you have chosen a location, photographer, and your clients, you can confirm a date and book these things accordingly. I recommend setting a date at least three months out from the start of your planning. This gives you time to block your book and plan sufficiently.

Step 8 – Create a Shot List
Consider everything you want to use the photos for and create a shot list around those things. Consider the orientation and spacing of photos needed for different things and put those details on the shot list. Include various types of images of you and your team, your clients, and non-people photos such as images of your retail lines and the hair you work with.
Step 9 – Make a "Day Of" Timeline
In order to make the best use of everyone's time (and your budget), it is important to have a detailed schedule and timeline for the day of your photo shoot. This will keep you on track and prevent you from going over your photographers time or the time you have rented your space. Everyone involved should know exactly where to be and what is expected of them throughout the day. Include all important info such as location addresses, parking instructions, timelines, contact information, and a list of things for each person to bring.
Step 10 – Take Some Great Photos!
Finally, enjoy your day with your beautiful clients and capture some incredible content you will use for years to come.
Finding the Right People for Your Team
Chelsea Adair, Owner, Salon Adair, Carlsbad, CA
For the past 13 years, I’ve been the proud owner of a salon, but it wasn’t until the COVID-19 pandemic hit that I truly found my calling — non-surgical hair replacement. This shift in my career became a deeply personal journey, driven by my own struggles with alopecia. What started as a desire to help others experiencing hair loss quickly turned into a mission that would transform not only my business, but my life.

at weight loss procedures. Following her procedures, she had lost experienced quite a bit of hair loss. We completely transformed her hair, and I was able to see an immediate change in her lifestyle. She started building a routine and feeling really good about herself.
As I began specializing in non-surgical hair replacement, I realized that it wasn’t just about learning new technical skills — it was about finding the right people to join me in this new venture. Non-surgical hair replacement is not a service that anyone can perform. It requires a deep understanding of the emotional and psychological effects of hair loss, along with the technical expertise to deliver a solution that is both effective and compassionate. I wanted to build a team of stylists who not only had the right skills but could truly connect with clients on a personal level.
One of the first people I recruited was Dr. T. She came in as a client, had recently gained a lot of weight, and was looking
She joined a professional skating crew, pool, dancing group, regular girls night out and developed much more of a social life. I really feel like the hair has given her so much confidence to open up new doors that she had been intimidated to open in the past. It’s been a pleasure to watch her journey.
Dr. T is also a neuroscientist and professor. Her expertise in human behavior and brain science gave her a unique perspective on how emotional and physical challenges, like hair loss, affect the mind and body. She quickly embraced the technical aspects of non-surgical hair replacement, but it was her ability to empathize with clients and understand the broader impact of hair loss that set her apart. She has become an invaluable member of our team, offering not only technical solutions but also an understanding of the cognitive and emotional journey clients experience.
Another key member of our team is
Stefanie, our front desk coordinator, who is an example of someone who brings both heart and commitment to her role. She wears a hair system herself and truly understands the power of a hair transformation. Stefanie was a client of mine at the time. She came in right before her brother's wedding to have hair installed, but had only saved up enough for one appointment. I really connected with her and her family, and wanted to find a way to help with the cost of her hair installation. I offered her a job working the front desk, and we worked out a deal where she would be a model around the salon and get to know the customers, sharing her story with them. She has been with me ever since.
Stefanie is currently planning to go to medical school, and, despite her busy schedule, she drives an hour to and from work every day, because she finds purpose in helping people who are going through the same struggles she faced with hair loss. Her journey has given her a profound sense of connection to our clients, and her presence at the front desk has been instrumental in creating a welcoming and supportive environment for everyone who walks through our doors. Many clients don’t even realize she’s wearing a system, and this helps ease their concerns about the natural look and feel of hair replacement. Stefanie’s daily interactions provide comfort
and reassurance to clients, showing them that hair restoration is not only possible but can look incredibly natural.
I have another employee named Jenna, who came to me as a client. She was in art school, suffering from bleach damage from another salon. I took her under my wing and sponsored her to complete a two-year apprenticeship program. She now has her cosmetology license and has been with my team for six months. It is a passion of mine and very rewarding to see other women achieve their dreams and follow in my footsteps, growing within the industry.
What I’ve learned throughout this process is that non-surgical hair replacement is about much more than just hair. It’s about restoring people’s confidence, their sense of identity, and their dignity. It’s about helping people feel whole again. The work we do in our salon is a combination of technical skill and emotional support, and it’s the emotional connection that makes this service so meaningful for our clients.
The beauty of this work is that it brings together people from all different backgrounds — science, the arts, or even psychology. We all share the common goal of helping others. Whether it’s a neuroscientist who brings a deep understanding of human behavior or a creative mind who brings an eye for detail, every team member adds a unique perspective that enriches the work we do.
As I continue to grow my salon and expand our non-surgical hair replacement services, I am more committed than ever to helping those who are struggling with hair loss. This service has become so much more than just a business for me; it’s a way for me to give back and help people rediscover their confidence, just as I did when I first faced my own hair loss.
Non-surgical hair replacement has been life-changing for me, and it’s been equally transformative for our clients. We’re not just restoring hair — we’re restoring self-esteem and helping people move forward in their lives with newfound confidence. Every day, I’m reminded of why I do this work: because we’re making a difference in people’s lives, one transformation at a time.
When COVID-19 first hit, I began receiving an increasing number of phone calls from people who were suddenly facing hair loss. Whether it was caused by stress, illness, or the isolation of the pandemic, many were dealing with hair thinning or shedding for the first time. I could hear the fear and desperation in their voices. It wasn’t just about their hair — it was about their self-esteem, identity, and sense of confidence. Many felt they were losing more than just their hair. They were losing a part of themselves.
That’s when I knew I had to make a change. I realized that hair loss isn’t just a cosmetic issue, it’s an emotional one. I needed to offer a solution that would restore not just hair, but confidence and a sense of self. I dove into research and discovered the American Hair Loss Council (AHLC), a trade organization that provides a wealth of resources for professionals in the hair loss industry. This was the turning point. Through AHLC, I was introduced to different companies, products, and techniques that would allow me to provide life-changing solutions to my clients. I knew this was a service I needed to offer, and I was determined to bring it to my salon.

Introducing Top Form Lace Human Hair
At Jon Renau, we’re always listening to the needs of our customers and industry professionals to push the boundaries of innovation in alternative hair solutions. That’s why we’re thrilled to introduce the Top Form Lace Front, our latest breakthrough in hair replacement. Available in 14” and 18” lengths, this new topper features a SmartLace™ lace front for a seamlessly natural hairline and is fully bondable, offering even more versatility for wearers.
For years, our Top Form topper has been a favorite among those experiencing mid-progressive hair loss, offering exceptional volume and coverage. However, one request remained consistent — a lace front version that eliminates the need to blend with the biological front hairline. Now, we’re proud to deliver exactly what customers have been asking for. Top Form Lace Front features a temple-to-temple SmartLace™ lace front, providing an undetectable hairline and greater styling flexibility.
Unlike traditional toppers that maintain the same density throughout, Top Form Lace Front is the first human hair topper to feature a graduating density. It starts with light density at the front, mimicking natural hair growth and preventing an unnatural, overly full hairline. It then transitions to a light-medium density throughout the top, and finally, a medium density at the crown and back for optimal coverage and volume where it’s needed most. This thoughtful construction ensures a realistic, lightweight feel while
delivering the fullness clients desire.
For those seeking a longer wear solution, Top Form Lace Front is fully bondable, making it an excellent choice for professionals working with clients who prefer a more secure, extended wear option beyond clips or daily application methods.
Whether worn daily or semi-permanently, this topper offers effortless integration and confidence-boosting coverage. Application methods such as Sensi-Tak (Red Liner), Ultra Hold, Lace Tape, and Tape ‘N Go offer versatile solutions to suit different client preferences and lifestyles.
Crafted with 100% Remy human hair, Top Form Lace Front provides the luxurious texture, natural movement, and full styling versatility customers expect from Jon Renau. It can be heat-styled, curled, or straightened to match individual preferences, giving wearers complete freedom over their look.
With the launch of Top Form Lace Front, we’re taking toppers to the next level — enhancing realism, increasing wearability, and answering our customers’ most requested needs. Whether it’s the SmartLace™ temple-to-temple lace front, first-of-its-kind density transition, bondable wear, or luxurious Remy human hair, this topper is set to become a game-changer in the hair replacement industry.
For professionals, this means offering clients a revolutionary new option that makes alternative hair solutions easier to integrate than ever before. Be among the first to experience the future of toppers with Top Form Lace Front.

Raquel Welch
As the Raquel Welch® brand moves into 2025 and beyond, we continue to honor the timeless beauty, style, and fashion legacy of Raquel Welch while promising many exciting brand advancements in the year ahead. For your clients, the heart of the RAQUEL experience will expand in ways that offer them new indulgences, added luxuries and effortless sophistication.
Debuting April 2025, we introduce 5 incredible new styles to our Raquel Welch Sheer Luxury® collection. Why do we say “incredible”? Because this new collection not only introduces FeatherLite™ – a brand new, ultra lightweight and heat-friendly fiber unlike anything we’ve ever offered before - but also the LuxLite Cap® II – a revamped version of our luxurious, modern cap construction.
HairUWear’s exclusive new FeatherLite fiber is so lightweight because its core is hollow like Bucatini pasta. The fiber weighs less than human hair, making it lighter than your client’s own bio hair. FeatherLite is even lighter than our Tru2Life synthetic hair! And as a heat-styleable
fiber, FeatherLite’s hollow core gives it even better curl/shape retention.
The updated LuxLite Cap II is now lighter as well, thanks to an expanded monofilament area – twice the monofilament area as the original LuxLite Cap! The LuxLite Cap II has an Average circumference and is designed with freestyle knotting but otherwise has the same great design with no ridges or bumps from the top of the wig to the crown. Features include lightweight, stretchable fabric to accommodate a variety of head shapes, and hand-stitched, removable silicone on the ear tabs and nape.
