Event objectives:   

Showcasing AIESEC culture to AIESEC applicants Brand positioning amongst youth Giving the youth of Chandigarh a platform to interact with a high profile company – Google & vica-versa

Key Highlights:    

Promotion via radio, posters, placards, website 350+ students from various colleges and backgrounds attended the event Session by Google India on Leadership 13 AIESEC interns, 10 AIESECers & 2 Alumnus facilitated team games at the event

Ushering participants

The participants were guided from the gate to the registration desk and their respective teams henceforth. The reception desk fulfilled the following roles: • Registration of applicants if they have already registered • On the spot registrations • Allocation of the applicants in different teams (there were 50 teams) One person was responsible for each Groups seating (spread over three floors) and movement to and from the team activity area a) Logistics arrangement responsible b) Facilitators: ice breakers, team activity, team culture and brief All the logistics were taken care by this team. It included putting up of posters, LCD, banners, desks, chairs, drinking water, shifting of tables to appropriate places, team activity logistics etc. Setting up the stage. This person was responsible for the sound and the light system of the stage

Agenda a) Registration: All participants were allocated a Group and a Sub-group. There were five groups namely Asia, Europe, North America, South America and Africa. There were further 10 sub-groups in each group named after countries in that particular continent. All participants were seated according to their groups in the auditorium.


b) Introduction: Students were introduced to the event through a presentation and a video on leadership. Then they were lead to their respective areas for their team activity.

c) Team activities: Each group was facilitated by 5 Facilitators including International facilitators. After ice-breakers (Evolution) the sub-groups within the group competed in one of the following team activities: a) Stock Market Simulation b) Pipe Race c) Boat Race

After finishing the team activities, there was a brief sharing session within the group on team work, competition, strategy and leadership. The groups also came up with roll calls for their continent. There was sharing from the audience about their experience after moving back into the auditorium.

e) Leadership session by Google

The session on leadership was taken by Mr. Sharad Goel of Google India. He started by showing a video about Google. The flow was focused around leadership definitions, in context with different situations and workplaces, about google and Q&A. The session covered topics such as manifestations, qualities and characteristics of a positive leader. The session was open and interactive all throughout, with Google goodies distributed amongst participants.
