Learning Networks Day AIESEC Chandigarh organized a LEARNING NETWORKS DAY. It aimed at providing a platform to the youth to connect with organizations around Global Issues such as: Child Rights Education Entrepreneurship and Technology HIV What is AIESEC? Rural & Community Development Youth Personal Responsibility The event catered to 400 youth from in and around the city. Students from various schools and colleges came to attend these interactive sessions. The sessions included lectures and workshops conducted by various NGO’s and other partnering organizations. Besides the various students present from the colleges and schools from in and around the city, International Interns from countries such as U.S.A, Canada, Netherlands, Indonesia, Malaysia, Germany and many others were present at the event. They are here on an AIESEC – Global Internship Program and are working with various Companies, NGO’s and Schools partnering with AIESEC. They experienced an Enriching Cultural Exchange participating in this event and also gave their views and inputs on the various Issues relating to The State of The World. The session on Child Rights was conducted by Manveer Singh Grewal, President AIESEC Chandigarh. He enlightened everybody on with various important facts and figures related to Child Abuse, Child Labor, etc . The International Trainees too shared their experiences on this issue as some of them are working on Projects related to Child Rights. The session on Education was conducted by Mr. Randhawa, Director, Rayat Management College. It included a team activity where all the participants were divided into groups and worked upon Projects and developing tools for the betterment of education system.


The session on Entrepreneurship was conducted by Mr. Vidhur from Elemention Health Club. It was designed to test the Entrepreneurial ideas of the participants which was followed by a Business Plan Competition. HIV, which is one of the most prevalent Global Issue these days was also catered to at this event. Ample information was given to the participants about the disease and an interactive talk was held as well. It was followed by a Quiz on the same. AIESEC, the Global Student organization too was introduced to the participants and it’s working, hierarchy, Initiatives and Projects were also explained to them. Rural & Community Development which is also an issue on which AIESEC Chandigarh runs various projects in association with various NGO’s was discussed during the event. Various initiatives which NGO’s in and around the city are taking these days with the help of AIESEC Interns were discussed and inputs from the participants were taken as well. Last but no the least, there was a session on Youth Personal Responsibilities by Harveen Kour , which was basically conducted to impart knowledge among today’s youth on how to balance out personal responsibilities and responsibilities towards the society and henceforth create a balance between the two and becoming more clear with one’s objectives in life. Various Organizations participated with the motive of enlightening the youth about the various important issues.
