Ninio is a brand that aims to add a touch of playfulness to an ordinary workspace setting. It celebrates the simple beauty of common objects, interweaved with humble and imaginative design, childlike charm and functionality. Ninio offers unique stationery items and desk accessories that inspire creativity by drawing out the child inside every adult.

DESIGN FOCUS My focus for my line of products is all about creating a fun workspace. As someone who spends a lot of time sitting at my desk and in front of the computer, having the correct workspace set up is important in order to get into the right workflow.

THE IDEA The idea for my product is to have a calendar that also doubles as a desk toy or accessory. Drawing inspiration from puzzles and flat pack toys, the calendar will be something that the customer can assemble prior to use, thus adding that touch of personalisation and interactivity to the product.

STATIONERY The set comes with an A4 letterhead, invoice, envelope and square business card. Graphic elements such as the black border and polkadot pattern are used across all designs to keep everything consistent.

ONLINE PRESENCE The website will be the main channel for customers to purchase products and learn more about the brand. Social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram and Twitter will also be used to engage with the brand’s target audience and attract more potential customers.

INTERIOR FIT-OUT While most of the sales will be done via the website, the products will also be sold at cafes, book stores and stationery shops. To be will be displayed on a wooden ladder type shelf, this type of stand allows for quick and easy assembly and would fit in well with most shop interiors.

HELPING OUT PALS IN THE WILD

In celebration of World Elephant Day on August 12, Ninio and Save the Elephants are teaming up to raise funds for elephant conservation efforts and veterinary care. Friends of Ninio is more than just a club; It is a membership and donation program focused on supporting wildlife protection projects. On that note, Elephants are in desperate need of our help. The elephant population has dramatically decreased by 90% in the last 50 years. The Save the Elephant organisation predicts that, “Without urgent action to save their species, elephants could be gone from the wild within a single generation”. To raise awareness for this important cause, we will introduce Friends of Ninio Elephant Journal. This limited edition hardbound journal will be released into the market as part of a campaign to gather support for this animal facing extinction.

A small run of 1000 Friends of Ninio Elephant Journals will be produced to promote the work done by Save the Elephant. 100% of proceeds from each sale will go towards helping us protect and secure a sustainable future for one of wildlife’s greatest treasures. Each purchase will include a thank you note and an exclusive Friends of Ninio sticker. Ninio will launch a promotional campaign from July leading up to World Elephant Day, consisting of posters, web advertisements and interactive content across various social media platforms. Ninio and Save the Elephant encourage friends and supporters to help continue initiatives in creating a positive difference for these creatures.
