Articles "HAIL KIWANIS INTERNATIONAL ! LONG MAY HER BANNER WAVE O ‘ER HILL AND VALE !” — “Last Wednesday I had the opportunity to join the Kiwanis in their own meeting. I had such an amazing time singing and listening to their amazing stories. Visiting our very own Kiwanis has always been on my bucket list since I joined key club. They are the role models to look up. They are always here to encourage us to be the best we can be and inspire us to serve and better our community. Joining them in their monthly Kiwanis meeting was just like sitting down back in our key club room listening to our agenda expect... even better. Don't be fooled by their age because they know how to party. Everyone was so youthful and lively, they were singing and laughing, and playing games. The room was filled with joy and laughter. It was really nice to watch them supporting one each and bond with one another. It was such an amazing experience to spend time with these such kindhearted people. I am definitely going to again. If anyone has the an opportunity to go, go. Take the time to appreciate them and everything they have done for us. It's totally worth seeing their happy faces.” — - Nalla Farjado/Lizelle Oreno’s Successor (Kiwanis Meeting - March 23rd)

Member of the Month
Month of MARCH —— NALLA FAJARDO
“For this month of March, our Thunderpup of the month is Nalla Fajardo! Nalla is currently a sophomore and is filled with energized spirit! She is not shy at all and is always willing to go up to any person. Her love for helping other is shown through her dedication and love in volunteer work. Nalla always does her absolute best to attend every event, and encourages her friends to come by providing carpool rides. For this month of March, Nalla has attended Braille, Kiwanis Meeting, and the Beach Clean-Up in Santa Monica. At Braille she was actively working with labeling and arranging out the audio tapes, and was kind to the workers at the institution. As we visited the Kiwanis at their meeting, she was very friendly and out-going as she met the other Kiwanis form La Canada that sponsors our club. As for the March DCM/Beach Clean-Up held in Santa Monica, she met lots of other Key Clubbers in our division, and brought a long other members to meet different people. After they had left, the beach was all clean with the help of other clubs! Thank you for you service, Nalla! Much appreciated!”

Officer of the Month “Our officer of the month for this month of March is our bulletin editor, Aja Archuleta! Aja can seem like a shy person in the beginning but once you get to know her, she is person to tell jokes to. Key Club plays a big part in her life and is dedicated to helping others. Her love for art is shown through the beautiful newsletters she makes, letting others know about all the activities and events are club does. Always on track of what is needed, and takes initiative in her work. For this month while some of our board members were out on a fieldtrip, she had taken up the their duties in meetings and took record of all that the club has done. Aja kept track of the hours each member had turned in and done, keeping it ready for our secretary. Whenever a job is needed or when she asked to do a task, she always follows and does her absolute best. As the board prepares the elects for the next term, she was happily showing her elect the ropes of the job and always enjoys her job. Thank you for all that you do for the club, Aja!”
