UNITED STATES 21 YEARS OF ABSENCE

This Mexican family attended the ceremony to commemorate 21 years since the terrorist attacks of September 11th, 2001, held at the National Memorial and Museum in New York. An estimated 250 Latinos died in the attacks on the Twin Towers. Among them was Leobardo Lopez, a Mexican who worked there as a restaurant waiter. He was 42 years old at the time.
