This year marks a significant milestone as the Charter Yacht Society celebrates the 35th anniversary of the BVI Boat Show that has now become an eagerly anticipated event for the people of the Virgin Islands and our friends in the international boating community. We congratulate you on this remarkable milestone.
The Territory is part of a global market where there is constant competition to be the destination of
choice. Events such as this annual Boat Show help to distinguish our Territory from the competition,
and therefore have my Government’s full support. We are working assiduously to strengthen the
yachting industry to further raise the bar of our overall tourism product and services, and this is yet another opportunity to shine the tourism spotlight on all that we have to offer.
