Fresh with Alexis Just a few months ago, the Spring 2014 Runway was filled with a palate of pastels, chic billowy trousers, and flirty dress silhouettes. The sun is finally starting to peep out, and it’s finally time to send the cumbrous jackets to the back of your closet! We were recently introduced to an extremely talented designer under name of, Alexis, based in Miami, Fla. with collections featured in high-end boutiques as well as select Neiman Marcus, Saks, and Ritz-Carlton showrooms. We love the fresh patterns paired with modern seams. Her edgy but sophisticated designs are easily complimented with accent pieces. Hamiltonjewelers.com Frédéric Fekkai Team Shares Top Hair Tips for Spring Amanda Daly worked backstage at the most recent New York Fashion Week season, specifically at the Sophie Theallet show, alongside Frédéric Fekkai. She is based in NYC at the Fekkai salon in Soho. Here are Amanda’s top hair tips: 1. Working with your hair’s natural texture is always a good tip. If you lack texture, I recommend using a wave spray or a texturizer to create body. Keep your final look simple but not too polished; a pretty ponytail always works! 2. It’s always a good time to get a trim! Many women forego regular haircuts due to their busy schedules but regular trims ensure healthy hair, which will always look good. Trims will get rid of split ends, add shape and make day-to-day styling much easier. 3. Women tend to go dark for the colder weather and I advise going lighter and brighter for the Spring/Summer. If you’re not looking for a change in color, go in for a gloss! Glosses add shine to hair and can enhance your existing color. Visit fekkai.com or for reservations, call 561 833 9930.
