Letter From Our Tech Editor Hey everyone my name is Ally Chien and I am this year 20162017 tech editor at Chino Hills High School Key Club. Being a tech editor come with alot of time management and being organized. It was difficult at first when I got this position and surprised that they chose me for it. Learning a position in a club take times and practice. I'm going into my senior year so I'll only have one year of experience being a tech editor but its all worth it! Even though it my first time being an officer at key club I still think key club has given me the experience of being wild and free in front of other. I can say that key club will be miss once I graduate and it will always be in my heart. There are so many events to go to and some you can do with just friends and explore! Get to go to places like Six Flags, Anahiem, Sacramento, LA, etc. All

that in just key club! Its very exciting and I hope more student are going to join key club not just because its an asian club but the experience and just having fun! Being both an key club officer and a member is very exciting and have tons of memories to remember!! Ally Chien Tech Editor

The Pieology Fundraiser was an event where we advertised at school and on social media hosted by yours truly, Key Club! Everyone was welcome to join us and help us raise money by showing our local Pieology a flyer! With permission of our ASB, we had our members help paint not only regular sized posters, but HUGEE posters you would find for rallies. Then we all hung them up around our school campus within three days! We had painted multiple posters and taped up many flyers throughout the most popular areas of our school grounds. TONS of students were interested in coming to our fundraiser not only because we promoted our fundraiser lots, but who wouldn't want a bite of delicious pizza!! Our clubs fundraising idea turned out to be a success as many people were attracted to the idea of helping out the largest and most popular club on campus, while being able to enjoy delicious pizzas after a long day of school! Sara Wang Director of Activities

ISAIAH'S ROCK At Isaiah’s Rock, one of our clubs regular and favorite events, the members and I cleaned up the parking lot and house since the recently had a food donation and it was a little messy. It was super hot out, especially with all the hard work so the uber nice staff gave us chocolate popsicles (WOO) which were great way to beat the heat with! We then straightened up the back of the house by sweeping, mopping, and wiping off the tables. Members were also able to cook for the less fortunate that night. We minced garlic and mixed it with butter to make the spread for their signature garlic bread, set the table up with utensils, and served food to the people in need. Although we were really tired after all the work, being able to see the smiles and appreciation form the

appreciation form the people you help really made my day! We also got to chat and just get to know the Isaiah’s Rock family by discussing family trips for the summer and plans for the future! Overall the Friday was a lot of fun and I had a GREAT time volunteering with my friends and I encourage all members to check out this event! Erin Huang Vice President

Townsend eighth Grade BBQ

The Townsend 8th Grade BBQ Dance was an amazing event! I had a lot of fun during this event and it was a good experience. I went to the dance when I was in 8th grade last year, so it was cool being able to volunteer for this event. Many people wanted to sign up for this event, and I hope we have more events throughout the year that attract people like how this event did. We helped set up the food, make the cotton candy, make the snow cones, clean up, and help set up their promotion practice. We took shifts because there was a really good amount of volunteers at this event! Unfortunately, the advisor of this event did not let us take breaks. Even if we were off of our shift, had nothing to do, and worked hard, he did not let us go into the dance area and get face paint, take photos, or dance. We were all very disappointed. I would definitely go again to this event next year, and I will encourage others to come next year! Jackline Ngo President
