Region 1 3 Picnic
On July 8th, we as a region held our annual Region Picnic! Starting at 10 AM, key clubbers from D10N to D35W began arriving at Via Verde Park to begin the big day in front of them. Vendors were up and about, selling their merchandise to anyone in sight whilst everyone else stayed cool under the shades of their tents. Shortly after we were split into groups by the color of our wristband and as groups, key clubbers began rotating, experiencing a different ice breaker each time. After this, lunch was served and a break time was given to compensate for the hot weather that day. After the lunch break, key clubbers split off into their divisions to prepare for the main event of the day, the spirit battle. Given time, each division was able to become familiar with their cheer and off to the spirit battle they went! Each division took turns reciting their cheer, yelling at the top of their lungs in hopes of winning the spirit stick. After every division went, we were once again given more break time in order to dodge the scorching sun as the judges decided who would receive the spirit stick. At the very end of the day, D35E won with their spectacular cheer and from there, we began cleaning up and leaving as quickly as possible due to, once again, the very hot day.

Ramadan Service Event
On Friday June 23rd, various different key clubbers from Division 15N attended the Ramadan Service Event. Here they arrived at 6 pm to help bring out the chairs and tables in which they later set up. After the setup was done all the key clubbers had dinner together and ate “italian cuisine or a.k.a. Pizza. This was the best part as laughs were exchanged as well as friendships being born. Once it was time to clean up the key clubbers went and helped put back all the chairs and tables into the storage while also picking up trash and doing whatever was needed.

Division 1 5 Banquet
As we started off our new term as Division 15 North, we had one last event to commemorate the year alongside our counterparts, Division 15 South. It is the first term since we split, so it will take some time to get used to seeing our other half become the Belugas. However, it was nice to have one last dinner to remember the term and everything we did in our last year together. I couldn't be more proud of my club, Los Osos, for winning Club of the Year alongside all the other awards for their hard work. And I couldn't be more proud of Division 15 for coming together this year to win the spirit stick at Fall Rally and for finishing the term strong. And although we do have to say goodbye to D15, it does mean a new beginning for both of us as we start the year off as Division 15 North Giraffes & Division 15 South Beluga Whales!

Etiwanda Banquet
On June 10, 2017, our club hosted an EndoftheYear Banquet, inviting our neighboring schools and anyone who was interested in Key Club. The night consisted of karaoke singing, eating lots of food from the potluck, and giving away the G.A.G. awards, along with official awards such as Member of the Year and Officer of the Year. A lot of members and officers participated in a fun game called Mafia to take a break from karaoke singing. Everyone else enjoyed more of karaoke singing. I would definitely go to an event like this again because this banquet we hosted was an unforgettable night with a lot of bonding and eating. I'm excited to plan next year's banquet!

Park Clean Up This past Saturday, June 24th, we hosted a park clean up in which we invited the following schools to join us: Etiwanda, Los Osos, and Upland. From there, we started the day off with various ice breakers in order to introduce members to their fellow giraffes. Afterwards, we began the most interesting part of the eventÍž pieing the presidents / representative from each school! This was a mini fundraising project planned for the park, hence why members could choose to pie whoever they wanted for just one dollar! Followed by the fundraiser came our main icebreakerÍž a water balloon fight! This was the perfect icebreaker for that day simply because of the scorching temperatures present. After our main icebreaker, we conducted our park clean up, splitting into groups to tackle the job. Members cleaned up the remaining balloons on the ground and trash at the park. And finally, after the park clean up, we ended the day off with more bonding between the schools. This was definitely a successful event for we held a successful fundraiser, helped to clean up the trash, and established a stronger bond between the schools present at this event.
