This event was SOOOO much fun and I had the most amazing time with my fellow officer Alyssa! We took a $14 bus ride at Ontario High to the Santa Monica and arrived soon afterwards! As soon as we got there, we were greeted with TONS of seals and elephants and the beautiful ocean! Not long after we got in a big circle and kicked off our ice breakers and played tons of fun games like Jiggalo and my friendly neighbor. Afterwards we split up into groups and competed against each othe with three legged relay, and sancastles. My group, the Seven Heavens, won the competition and we received a watermelon and pineapple, and we even named him Harambe (justice) and took it home! I was able to meet a lot of new people in the region and it was just a really fun time with lot of new memories. We finally got some garbage bags and snatchers and cleaned up the beach all together. We soon got some free time and Alyssa and I were able to explore the Santa Monica pier and get some yummy tacos! We ended our event. Around 4, we left the beach and as we headed to LA traffic is when everyone else headed into their sweet dreams. This event was so so so much fun and I made so many great memories this trip! Gina Min Spirit Chair

This year’s Relay for Life was actually my first time attending after being in Key Club for almost three years! I was really excited to be able to go this year since I’d been really busy the years before. My friend and I went to the park early in the morning to set up our booth. We set up the tents, decorated it, and created our game. We made signs that incorporated our “ Under the Sea” theme and had a few guys carry them around to attract runners to our booth! It was fun since our friends from a different club was right next to us so we helped them set up their games by blowing balloons and setting up their tents. For our game, anyone who played would win a little goodie bag filled with squirt guns or cool inflatables! Unfortunately I had to leave early and wasn't able to stay the night, but my friends and the members tell me they had a lot of fun and really look forward to attending next year! This event was definitely a challenge and required a lot of prior planning, but it was absolutely worth it since we raised a lot of money for the cause! I look forward to going next summer and making the event bigger and better for the members! Erin Huang Vice President

CHHS REGISTRATION REGISTRATION TIME...... You know what that means....... SCHOOL IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER!! At this event, we got to help out incoming and returning students for another year of high school. Some of our volunteers got to go to the attendance office and help file papers in each registration packet. Our other volunteers helped out in the library by passing out books for the incoming year. It was a fun event to come out to and lasted for a week!! I highly recommend everyone to come out next year with friends and help with registration!! Jackie Ngo President
