iverpool ONE is preparing to re-open from June 15th and has reassured its visitors that they remain safe and reassured at all times: . Due to the sheer size of the estate, its open air layout and wide shopping boulevards, the team at Liverpool ONE expect people to be able to move around freely while easily observing the 2-metre safe distancing rule. Visitors will be advised to keep to the left at all times and on the upper level of South John Street, with the feature balconies, a one-way walkway will be in place. Liverpool ONE is bringing in additional hand sanitiser stations which will be positioned across the estate, staff will have face masks and gloves and the toilets will be open with no charge. As the number of shoppers allowed in stores at any one time is also likely to be restricted, designated queuing areas will be in place. There will also be revised

opening hours between 10am and 5pm, Monday to Saturday, allowing staff to avoid peak travel times. On a Sunday stores will continue to open as normal between 11am and 5pm. Steve Connolly, Estate Director at Liverpool ONE, said: “We are looking forward to welcoming our visitors back to Liverpool ONE now the Government has advised we are safe to do so, with the right conditions in place. “ “We have been working hard behind the scenes to ensure the right balance of measures are in place to protect everyone who visits us but also ensuring it will be an enjoyable experience.” “Our message is quite clear ….. Be Patient, Be Kind, Be Responsible. We want people to once again enjoy shopping and to love the experience of Liverpool ONE.”

“Yes, it will be different and we are all adjusting to a new normal but I think the vast majority of people have proved during lockdown that we can do this. We can adapt.” Steve added there has been strong interest from stores across Liverpool ONE who are keen to re-open and believes now is the time for the public to once again start supporting the local economy. He continued: “Now is the time for everyone to start supporting the local economy but in a safe way. We will be working closely with all of our stores in relation to any individual measures which they will be putting in place to protect customers.” “We urge everyone who visits us to use common sense, follow the directional and helpful signage which we will have in place across the estate and once again fall in love with that experience of shopping on the high street!” Many of the restaurants across Liverpool ONE will be offering take away and click and collect services until they are expected to re-open, which may be in July, subject to Government guidance. 19
