INTERVIEW
INNER SOUL, MOIST SOIL, GIRL OR BOY? Prague‘s neighbourhood Žižkov is famous for it‘s contrast of dirty streets and rough late night bars filled with drug dealers, and the inner beauty of freedom represented by the art galleries and peacefull living places. All your senses are bombarded as you journey into Žižkov; unknown to many despite being right next to the beautiful Prague center. You’ll feel a sense of danger in the area but continue curiously within the district. Let us welcome you into Prague‘s hidden zone; Žižkov, it‘s different locations represent body & soul. The Streets are full of graffiti on old walls and the air stale from yesterday‘s night out. Rain washes away the ugly leftovers and a new day begins. Guys don´t need to cover their beauty. We visit three parts of this neighbourhood. Famous streets like Vlkova or Borivojova, where cool people meet. Lazy legs lead us towards the inner blocks, where you find contemporary art galleries and nature. Do you wanna see it from a different perspective? Jump on the roof of a loft and sneak into hidden corridors. The archi-

tecture of perfectly reconstructed buildings are juxtaposed against trashy old blocks of the communist era. These elapsed borders and sharp boundaries between two worlds meet in one location. From the two contradictory architectural views we see young guys from Prague born into modern society and crossing between two different worlds. Today, gender identity divides a generation and even more among the old and young. In the Czech Republic, on one side you have the old generation; born into communism, an age of literal border building. On the other side the new millenial generation, who stand for freedom in every direction. This photoshoot explores the theme of no gender and no boundaries between people growing into this hidden and splintered part of Prague. Men dressed girly, soft, minimalistic and nude remind us of our lost feminime side. Exerts from their thoughts and expectations and reality provide further insight into their lives. All clothes are made by local rising Czech designers who are currently setting streetstyle in Prague. They ask questions about the ability to express ourselves through clothing aesthetic.

ALEX / 18 DO YOU SEE THE FASHION WORLD AS AN OPENING SPACE, WHERE EVERYTHING IS ALLOWED AND GRADUALLY FLOWS INTO THE BROAD SUBCONSCIOUS Models cannot be, who they want to be. They are given by whatl s there and who they are supposed to be for it. They get dressed and they have to be just like that. fashion is an indicator of the tune and the direction of the society. DO YOU THINK THAT FASHION IS A PORTAL FOR DISTRIBUTION OF RIGHTS AND OPINIONS? Fashion does not express new visions, but shows visually those views, feelings and trends coming from the whole society. DOES FASHION AND ITS INDUSTRY HAVE AN IMPACT ON YOU? AND HOW DID YOU FEEL IN FEMALE CLOTHE-SQ This was my first shoot, so I don‘t know yet. In the beginning I accepted the experience well but after I felt a bit weird, especially on busy Prague streets vest KATERINA HYNKOVÅ dress LINDA ZABILKOVÅ brooch MARIANA BEREC necklace and bracelet VLASTA ZAPOTILOVÅ
WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT THIS GENDERLESS TREND? Here in the Czech Republic it would not go, maybe in small groups, which are younger. For the Czech public it is too fearless and strange, people are still really closed to communism era, mainly the older generations.
MATEJ / 27 DOES WORKING AS A MODEL INFLUENCE YOU? I like fashion, but rather from the artistic perpective as a part of this world I really love the underground environment of music clubs where gender free fashion is quite common, that has big impact on me. But for me it is not just fashion or a trend only, but mostly lifestyle, which is strongly connected with my sexuality. WHAT IS THE BORDER BETWEEN FASHION AND WORK, AND HOW DOES IT LINK TO YOUR PERSONAL LIFE-Q I don‘t feel any borders in my personal life, or even at work But I should be more careful about it, not to jump just easily in every photoshoot, if it‘s in contradiction with my opinion HOW DO YOU FEEL WHEN YOU SEE YOURSELF IN A MAGAZINE-Q Usually I like it, as today‘s shoot was for example my cup of tea. I love the outfit from the young fashion designers and I felt very natural. Original clothes like that attract me the most. DO YOU THINK PRAGUE IS TOO CONSERVATIVE? Czechs as a nation is a little more critical for new trends. But surely we will catch the rest of Europe. We have a lot of talented people here.

SERGEJ / 21 WHAT IS FASHION AND MODELING FOR YOU? DOES THIS TYPE OF JOB INFLUENCE YOUR LIFE-Q Fashion is just the way I can easily make money, It‘s really just a job for me. It means nothing in my personal life. I‘m studying at university, that‘s my main interest in this moment. Fashion and trends do not bother me at all. IN THAT CASE, HOW DO YOU LIKE TODAY‘S EDITORIALQ I never understood a guy making my hair or make-up. For me that feels pretty unpleasant. On the other side everything can bring some new knowlage. Today it was an interesting and special shooting, in this crazy weather on the rooftop. So in the end it balanced the female clothing WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT THOSE UNI-GENDER FASHION OUTFITS? In the Czech Republic there is nothing like that, its pretty dead. You can see it just abroad. Here I see different problems, everyone wants to be famous in a short period of time through internet and social media. I don‘t feel it should be this way. You should work hard on yourself first. DO YOU MIND WHAT PEOPLE THINK WHEN THEY SEE YOUR PHOTOS? No, I don‘t mind what other people think about me. I have never compared myself with someone else.
trousers ALENA JAKUBOVÅ brooch MARIANA BEREC necklace with shell VETENGLOVI necklace with crystal ISIS
LUBOR / 17 DO YOU THINK FASHION IS SOME KIND OF PORTAL WHICH SPREADS TRENDS AND CURRENT MOODS INBETWEEN PEOPLE? It is the first step from those which set the trends for masses. But current trends usually hit society later, because what you see on the fashion runways were planned one year ahead so It takes more time for people to accept it. DOES THIS ENVIROMENT HAVE SOME KIND OF IMPACT ON YOUR DEVELOPMENT AND LIFESTYLE? Before I started making money as a model it was just fun, I never really followed trends. Now I feel a big preasure and it completly consumes me so it has a big impact, when I think about it right now.
jacket KATERINA HYNKOVÅ dress KATERINA PLAMITZEROVÅ trousers ALENA JAKUBOVÅ necklace and brooch MARIANA BEREC
HOW ARE MAKE-UP AND CURRENT FASHION TRENDS INTERMINGLED IN YOUR LIFE-Q There are no borders for me. I like to shoot crazy stuff, like today. I would not wear make-up in daily life. But I am not saying I am against. DO YOU THINK PRAGUE IS READY FOR NEW TRENDS LIKE THIS? ARE PEOPLE READY FOR ITQ I am not origially from prague, but I am working quite often in Milan and Paris, where trends are raising. In the Czech Republic it‘s a taboo right now, people don‘t get it, maybe in 5 years or so .
PAT RIK / 22 IS FASHION THE WORLD WHERE THERE ARE NO TABUSQ Fashion is just a different way of how to express yourself without the use of words. For example by feelings, or you can transfer it to an aesthetic experience. I think clothes are just a different type of art. Even if people don‘t know you, they know you because of your fashion and aesthetic. DOES FASHION AND WORK INFLUENCE YOU? Yes totally. I really love fashion. And it is one of the things I have been interested in for a long time ARE THERE SOME BORDERS BETWEEN MAKE-UP AND HAIR STYLES, WHICH YOU WEAR NORMALLY OR AT PHOTOSHOOTSQ There are no borders, I can be nude or I can have some crazy weird make-up, I completely trust the person who is doing it. They know best how it should be, and usually I am happy with the final look. In my privacy I sometimes wear make-up, I am not affraid to wear it. In this period of time it is normal. And my parents are used to it, my mum was a model as well. DID YOU SHOOT SOME EDITORIAL IN FEMALE CLOTHES BEFORE? Yes, 14 day ago I shot an extravagant editorial for a magazine. It was more edgy, with a black latex corset. It wasn‘t comfortable at all, I couldn‘t breathe. But todays clothes are comfy and i feel relaxed in it. Actually I like the theme and style. table at all, I couldn´t breathe. But todays clothes are comfy and i feel relaxed in it. Actually I like the theme and style.

KEN LAURENT
Wer schön sein will muss leiden, in diesem Fall mein Rücken. The sexy office chair – gibt es das überhaupt? Falls ja, hier ist ihr erster Kunde. Nacktkatzen
