SULLIVAN POWERFUL IN PORTUGAL

ANDY SULLIVAN CELEBRATED WINNING THE PORTUGAL MASTERS, HIS THIRD TITLE OF 2015.
ndy Sullivan was dominant with his G30 driver as he led wire-to-wire in claiming the Portugal Masters by a tournament-record nine shots. The 28-year-old Englishman became the first European Tour player to post three victories this season. He won the South African Open and the Joburg Open earlier this year. Sullivan led by five strokes heading into the final round and said his only goal was to avoid mistakes at Oceanico Victoria GC in Vilamoura, and he did, firing a bogey-free 5-under 66. The victory moved Sullivan into the top 50 (47 th) in the Official World Golf Ranking for the first time.

n his runaway victory at the Portugal Masters, Andy Sullivan relied on a Cadence TR Anser 2 putter, marking the 36th time PING putters have been used to win pro tournaments worldwide since January. Gold-plated replicas of those putters will be added to the glimmering collection in the PING Gold Putter Vault. Of the 36, eight were major championships, including the U.S.
Women’s Open won by In-Gee Chun, and two by Jeff Maggert on the Champions Tour. Putters featuring True Roll Technology (Cadence TR, Scottsdale TR) accounted for 21 of the titles, and 14 of those were the Anser 2 model. Multiple winners include Chun (7), Maggert (4), Sullivan (3), Sung Hyun Park (3), Peter Fowler (2), Brooke Henderson (2), and Martin Piller (2).
