Either she was reading the green or predicting her 3-under total score, but Brooke Henderson (right) with sister and fellow PING Pro Brittany Henderson on her bag, finished -3 for the week, earning her a T5 at the U.S. Women’s Open. Also earning T5’s were Pernilla Lindberg, Shiho Oyama, and Jane Park, all of whom qualified for the 2016 U.S. Women’s Open. The 17-year-old Henderson’s performance moved her closer to gaining exempt status on the LPGA Tour for next season. Her winnings from the Open put her in good position and she looks to secure her card in upcoming events. She has two top 5’s in majors this season.

artin Piller’s wireto-wire, six-stroke victory at the Web.com Tour’s Albertsons Boise Open set a tournament scoring record at -28 (one shy of the all-time Web.com scoring mark). But more importantly it moved him up to No. 4 on the money list and guaranteed his return to the PGA Tour for the first time since 2011. “Sometimes you think, will I ever get back to the PGA Tour,” Piller said. “The fact that this happened gives me a lot of confidence and belief that when I do play well I can be in contention and win tournaments.”
