n another superb major performance, Louis Oosthuizen contended once again, this time at St. Andrews, site of his 2010 Open Championship victory, finishing T2 in a three-man, fourhole aggregate playoff. Including the U.S. Open in June, he has tied for second in the last two majors. But he was especially excited to return to St. Andrews. “I was really motivated,” Oosthuizen said. “I love this golf course. St. Andrews is a very special place.” The 32-year-old South African’s PING technology included a G30 LS Tec driver, i25 fairway wood, Rapture driving iron, S55 irons, Tour Gorge and Glide wedges, and a Scottsdale ZB S putter.

ount Lee Westwood among several early adoptees of PING’s newest technology, which was formally introduced last week. He recently moved to the new i iron and Cadence TR Ketsch Mid putter, and he switched drivers, gaming the G30 LS Tec. See his What’s in the Bag on the next page. The i iron is now in the bags of a number of LPGA PING pros, including Azahara Muñoz. Alejandro Cañizares
is one of four European Tour pros who play the i iron. The Ketsch Mid, which has a more compact head than the original Ketsch, is one of two new easy-to-aim Cadence TR putters that PING unveiled. The other model is the Craz-e-r, which has new alignment features that distinguish it from its predecessor, the popular Craz-E, introduced in 2003. PING also released the Glide ES (Eye Sole) wedge, inspired by the Eye2 sand wedge.
