LINGMERTH CONTENDS AGAIN

eminiscent of his first PGA Tour win at the prestigious Memorial in June, David Lingmerth relied on a strong all-around performance highlighted by stellar putting to secure another high finish, a 3rd place at the Quicken Loans National outside Washington, D.C. Lingmerth was T2 in birdies for the week with 22, posting -14 (68-65-68-69). He was accurate with his G30 driver, hitting 12 of 14 fairways in round two. The Swede also employed i25 irons, Glide wedges, and a Cadence TR Ketsch putter, which he used to lead the field in putts per GIR at 1.604. It was his third top-6 finish in the past five events. Lingmerth has earned more than $2.3 million this season.

PING PROS AMONG ELITE WGC FIELD

f the six PING pros who will be competing for the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational title this week, it’s likely that Bubba Watson has the fondest memories of recent World Golf Championship events. Last November he
