ubba Watson and his pink G30 driver once again formed a partnership that paid big dividends in 2014-15. Bubba won the most prize money of his career, more than $6.8 million, on the strength of two wins and multiple second- and thirdplace finishes. His T5 at the season-ending Tour Championship was his 10th top 10, a career high. It was the second season in a row that he posted two wins. Both of Bubba’s victories came in playoffs: last November at the WGCHSBC Champions in China, and in June at the Travelers. Next stop is his second Presidents Cup, Oct. 8-11, in South Korea.

Bubba Watson sometimes likes to live on the edge when he plays, but his opening tee shot at the Tour Championship on Thursday literally came to rest near the water’s edge. One foot in the water, he successfully punched his second out into the fairway, then hit his third to 11 feet and converted the putt to save par. Bubba would go on to finish T5 and wind up fifth in FedExCup points for the second-straight season.
