I am currently in the Gateway Program. I don’t have just one thing that makes school special for me. School is more like my second home. The way everyone is there for each other is lovely. I am a big family person. I like having teachers that will be there for you when you need them. Everybody has each other’s backs if they feel like it’s the right thing to do. I honestly don’t have a favorite subject. The Center of Opportunity is the rst school that I like.
My role model is my best friend and partner in life. I look up to him because he shows me that there is nothing I can’t do in life. He always pushes me to do my best, and he helps me the most.

My school is special because the teachers take their time with us and we are not rushed to learn. The environment of the school is quiet and peaceful. It is nothing like the noisy environment at my home school.
My favorite subject is English. I can relate to my English teacher George Brown. I relate to him because of his love for reading.
I would like to go to England to further my education.
I desire to become a Police O cer. I am headstrong and I am focused on reaching my goals.

While my home school is WallaceRose Hill, I am currently in the COVID High-Risk program at the Center of Opportunity. I like the support I have been given here. I have a chance to succeed in my online classes because of their support. I feel I can achieve and succeed in my academic goals and standards.
My favorite subject is Art. I am able to express creativity and express my emotions in drawing, painting. I get to use my imagination to create. I am undecided on my career path; I do want to go to college and major in Art or work in the medical eld. My role model is my future self. I look up to the person I am going to be.

Dr. Kea is special. I admire the way he remains calm and has patience with all of the students under his care. He and the rest of the Center of Opportunity team make the environment a very calm place for me to think about my life decisions. My favorite subject is Math. I want to be a future game developer, which requires a background in coding. Math helps build my knowledge in that career. My inspiration for being a game developer is CoryxKenshin because he’s an African American YouTuber, who has made a living through gaming. He not only plays the games, but he also shares inspirational messages with his followers to keep them upli ed.

Principal Kea says, “Mr. Taylor is a Bright Spot. He helps wherever he is needed. Mr. Taylor doesn’t complain. He is polite and kind to everyone.”
