JODY KAUTZ

RE/MAX Associates of Arlington and Mansfield The world of real estate is an ever-changing one. Few know that as well as Jody Hart Kautz, broker and owner of RE/MAX Associates of Arlington and RE/MAX Associates of Mansfield. Her journey in real estate began in 1981. “Over a fortyyear period, you get to see a lot of changes in the market,” she said. Over the course of her career Jody has learned many aspects of the industry, from foreclosures and short sales to new home construction and more. With knowledge compiled over time, flexibility honed through experience, and an enthusiasm all her own, Jody serves her local area with pride and expertise. “Real estate is more than a job to me,” she says, “It’s a career path that continues to challenge and excite me.” She bases her business—like her life—on Christian principles and loves to serve her community. She started work at RE/MAX

Associates of Arlington in 1995 and purchased the company four years later. Two years after that, she added the Mansfield location. More recently, she was able to share what she’s learned over the years through her role as the broker, manager, and trainer of 60 agents. Jody loves interacting with agents and clients alike. Her outgoing nature makes her easy to be around, and she agrees with the adage that laughter is the best medicine. “In junior high I was voted “Most Humorous,” which could easily translate to “Most Disruptive in Class,” she admitted. It’s that energy that puts those around her at ease and makes her fun to work with. Even with all her experience, Jody acknowledges that she couldn’t do all that she does alone. “My team is made up of four strong, independent, dedicated women who conduct their business

with honesty and integrity,” she said. “Together we go further than any of us could go alone. We all have a common goal, focusing on our clients’ needs and goals, we want the same thing, so it’s easy to get things done. Leanne Nelson, Jennifer Owens, and Natalie Mitchamore, I couldn’t do it without you.” Jody is an active member of Rush Creek Church and also supports local candidates who understand and support property rights. Her team gives generously to Children’s Miracle Network to help children with all sorts of medical conditions. Jody says in her free time she’s a bit of an artist and loves to paint murals. “Perhaps my parents let me draw on the walls of our home with crayons and it extended into adulthood,” she laughed. Her two children and five grandchildren brighten her life and keep her laughing.
