THRILLING DISGUISE OR MAYBE NOT SO THRILLING IF YOU DON’T KNOW THEM Looking back, Kal said the costume party went on too long. We didn’t watch enough Cartoon Network at the time to recognize the Steven Universe or Adventure Time costumes. And I guess there are only so many times you can care about watching Beast Boy and Raven walk the stage (though, every version of them did get to split the prize backpack of swag Greg Cipes, the voice actor, was supposed to award one winner). We didn’t even watch enough We Bare Bears at the time to care much about the blind bags everyone got for attending. I thought it was a fine start to the day, though, laughing at Cipe’s dog, Wingman, suddenly freak out on another Beast Boy and catching pictures of Mas y Menos to share with their family who lost their photos from the trip. Alien was Kal’s only interview for the whole convention. I couldn't get him to stay still for his own talking heads. —MV
